It doesn’t make sense that this guy says it was fought that far south due to the fact that the Royalist soldiers were buried in what is now Losoya,Texas where the chapel of the El Carmen Catholic is located. Why would they transport the bodies ten miles to bury them? Remember this battle was fought in the hot summer time and the bodies would start deteriorating rather quickly. It doesn’t make sense. Remember El Carmen Church had not yet been built so there was no cemetery yet. After a battle most of the dead are buried on the spot they fell. I don’t buy it.

Marshall really doesn't address the contrary diary evidence... he was very dismissive. Which does not commend his scholarship.
