Raptors won 13 of the first 16 quarters. Won 17 of the 24 quarters. They only lost game two because of the worst cold spell in the history of NBA playoffs. Literally. They really should have won this series in 4. Would have been best for KD and Klay if they had.

To fix the load management stuff. I think they need a major adjustment. The league could implement a point system league instead of a win loss record league. What I mean by that, they could follow what the football (soccer)leagues are doing. Basically they play 37 games and if a team wins they get 3 points, if they lose they get no points and if it’s a draw they get a point. Now they have to get rid of overtime in the regular season so both teams can actually draw. I personally think the league could combine the conferences so there wouldn’t be teams with a bad record making it into the playoffs. So this means that the 16 teams with the most points make the playoffs. So for the playoffs, it would just be the same as it was but the matchups would be different cuz we might see an eastern conference team face a western conference team in the first round. Overtimes will be back cuz the playoffs won’t be using the point system instead it’ll just be the same where whoever gets 4 wins advances to the next round.
Now for the schedule. Since there will be less games, there will be no back to backs. Instead teams will have to face each other like once or twice a week. It may suck cuz we have to wait an entire week for your favourite team to face another team again but it will be good cuz each game would matter and the star players will have no reason to sit out a game.
Ujiri has a big reason to stay, he can further prove himself by continuing to build and keep the raps relevant. Could cement himself as the best executive ever if he wins a chip, then successfully rebuilds a team that isnt a FA destination

Having a shorter season doesn't mean there will be less injuries come playoff time. The key is to keep the season the same length in time but have approximately 20 games less. As a fan I'm not sure I want this. It seems like Pierre can't even handle 2 days off of basketball-related activities.
