After he begins yet another murderous rampage, Sally Hardesty, Queen of Jumping Out of Windows, returns to save the day, but how will she fare against her nemesis 48 years after the fact?? Join in the fun as we react to the 9th entry into the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, where people can still manage to shoot a gun after being gutted by a chainsaw and our main girlies get away from Leatherface by parkouring down the stairs. That old lady took Leatherface in, as she ran an orphanage. This suggests that Leatherface was quite young during the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And really how could one dispute this, he was wearing his human face masks. Also, the old woman told him not to go into her room, meaning she hid his chainsaw away in the wall, probably knew he wasn’t all there, but still took him in. What a kind sweet old lady she was. No wonder he mourns her and seeks his revenge.

I don't know if this was done on purpose or not, but I feel like they made Leatherface the sympathetic character of the movie that we're supposed to be rooting for. Because look at the set-up - these arrogant cult people (Smokin' Daddy was right, they did sound like a vague cult) roll up into Leatherface's quiet town where he's just living out his days, not doing any chainsawing, just enjoying time with his adoptive mom. And the a-holes start kicking out momma out of the house, causing her death - of course he's gonna get pissed! Honestly, the only time I felt for someone in this movie was when Leatherface was hugging the dress and playing with momma's make-up. The fact that he went after the cult people and not Sally (at first) proves that he was only killing the people that hurt his momma.
Never thought I'd be writing a supportive message for Leatherface, but here we are - thank you, Netflix!
Oh forgot to mention in my last comment but the “mom” wasn’t his real mom. She had taken him in after the events in ‘74 & she had “taught him to be a good boy.” While in the van, she said “be the good boy I taught you to be & stay out of my room.” She has hidden the chainsaw in the wall of her room & didn’t want him to go in, get it & revert back his homicidal ways. Oh yeah, also lol, Leatherface wore a woman’s face with makeup in the original film. Enjoyed the reaction, y’all are too funny 😂 I didn’t agree with everything y’all said but it didn’t matter cuz y’all made me laugh

@@PettyPumpkins yeah, of course! I’m sorry y’all didn’t enjoy it as much as I did. I have a long history with TCM series and this movie is MILES better than majority of the sequels lol, so that could be why I enjoyed it as much

Sally literally snuck up on him and still didn’t shoot and he didn’t even remember her Lmao
The good news is that at least this Sally wasn't played by the original actress. The original actress passed away years earlier (RIP), so she took the character and her dignity with her. So you can rest easy knowing this is not the same Sally (and hate her all the more).
I’m super late to this reaction but you’re “at this point i’m rooting for leatherface” is really relatable. I don’t think I’ve ever yelled at characters in a movie for being dumb so much before. Not one good decision was made here but whatever i didn’t hate it.

I feel like the producers were thinking, "Halloween 2018 was really popular. Let's do that!" Even though Michael Myers and Leatherface are vastly different characters, and as much as we stan Sally, she is no Laurie Strode.
I suppose there are a cascade of other issues too, but that attempt to copy a completely different horror franchise is the most obvious.
The broken arm bone in the neck is such a crazy & creative kill. I loved it! Lol. I can’t remember seeing anything like that in the hundreds of horror movies I’ve watched. It’s hands down one of my favorite horror movie kills of all time. The plot of this film isn’t the best but cmon, it’s a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie and the kills were EPIC. To paraphrase what ZZAVID said in his reaction, slashers are often substance optional & shock value required lol
there were definitely things that this movie did right for sure, and we always appreciate some good shock value hehe

WARNING *SPOILERS ALERT* : Unfortunatly, Netflix didn't succeed to make the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie a good one. The fact that it takes place in that Harlow f***ing ghost town bothered me, why !? Cause I had throughout the movie the feeling I was watching humdrum filmed scenes on a single Universal Studios set, always that main street ! Furthermore, the group of young people don't match at all with the macabre & oppressive original spirit of the 1st movie. Well, do we talk about Sally's "resurrection" after being disemboweled with the chainsaw ?! No Bit**es, cause it would not exist. Sometimes screenwriters are disconnected of our reality ! Well notorious Chey & Wes, keep going on with more and more reaction videos, love your channel : why ?! Cause You are Icons !!! Best regards & Love from France !
yes it DEFINITELY felt like it was all just shot on a studio lot. it was an interesting set but maybe not for a tcm movie. and also agree that the group didn't give off that gritty feel that we're used to which was sort of jarring. they tried something new but it just didn't really land unfortunately. and thank you for the kind words, we love and appreciate you!!

Y’all can we get Chey and Wes in a horror movie because low key the movie will end very quickly because they actually know what to do if some guy in a human face is chasing them they know not to stay under a bed for 20 minutes they know to break a window and run as soon as they see a guy chopping someone’s head off and last but not least they know to shoot the guy in the head while they have a gun in there hands

It was a bit confusing too, it seemed like it was trying to get us to love the Gen Z’s and hate the diesel truck contractor guy, the policemen etc tell us she’s a school shooting survivor , the African American seeing a confederate flag BUT the lady did have her title to the house stil, they kept jsut walking in peoples homes and treating everyone else like shit so I hated a bunch of them, then the contractor ends up carrying the mortally wounded guy to the car and tells the 25 people on the bus to stay in the bus for their safety and he goes after the threat giving his life and even in his last moment gives the keys to her. The shotgun woman made fun of had a bad ass drive of revenge to kill him , talk about brave. So the people we were being coaxed to hate were the ones fighting him while all the rest literacy sat on the bus , 25 damn young adults as he liked 1 by 1 !!????? If even 5 of the 25 rushed him they’d have got him. Ughhhh!!!! Then turns out he never got the deed , she sorted the owed ballance which is why he said it’s taking longer than normal but really once she caught up , they can’t evict her but he lied and she texted to tell them and police and died causing all of thsi. Lol
Yeah, the camera work and cinematography were the best parts here, although I liked the idea of them bringing back Sally after all these years.

I hated this, after so many lame sequels & requels I actually had a glimmer of hope that maybe this one would be good only cause of Sally’s return & they royally fokked it up. It was so bad. All hail the OG Texas Chain Saw Massacre “1974” it remains the one & only. 🎥🎬🍿

I wouldn't have known about it myself but a friend told me about it and I had to go back and watch after the credits to see it.
I went into this new TCM not expecting to much even though they hyped up the trailer i still wasn't going to get myself overly excited and then be disappointed which I'm glad i didn't because it turned out being exactly what i had expected a messy film that had unlikable characters and really stupid choices made by them the writing was awful and the whole waiting 50 yrs to finally get Leatherface by Sally felt copied from Halloween 2018 and OMFG the whole character of Sally was just a complete and utter dishonor to the late Marilyn Burns who portrayed her so brilliantly and to have her written as they did was just a huge disgrace. 😡😡😡😡😡
The visuals and cinematography was stunning but that is pretty much the only positive thing that i can really say about this movie that had so much potential to be something amazing but ended up being a shit show of a mess just like Halloween Kills!!! 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩

This movie really divides the fans between the ‘the original is the only good one’ and the ‘Leatherface was right’ crowds 😂 the 2006 remake notwithstanding, that’s a whole thing in itself (who tf is Thomas Hewitt??)

I liked this one quite a lot, TCM has some pretty unfortunate sequels and this is the best one after Tcm3

Yes to both of these requests, tcm2 is amazing and absolute chaos, tc3d is so dumb SO DUMB and genuinely maybe my favorite of the whole franchise. And tc3d is even more baffling if you watch tcm2 first since there is no connection between the two past the Bill Moseley cameo. God this franchise is so good, it’s all such nonsense
