The kale is typically called Christmas Cabbage and is used a lot here in the East Coast states as an ornamental plant for some outdoor color and foliage over the winter months.
I think it's a target for every dog walking in the city. I hope no one picks it thinking they're getting a deal! lol

The Kale is ornamental, it does not taste good, they plant it because it withstands cold weather or frost and it looks nice :-)

Jenna thanks to your videos I am now a huge thrifter. Can't remember when I bought clothes in a retail store. The amount of designer clothing and bags I found for pennies. Most I ever paid was $19.99 for a new with tags Danier Suede jacket. I agree with you Value Villages are overpriced. Thank you from 1 Canuck to another 😊

I've never had good luck with actual thrifting here lol, most places the nyc girlies refer to as thrifting are actually resale/vintage places. that goodwill looked decent though!

Seeing Jenna thrift in places that I thrift in is...weird. Also for those visiting: Urban Jungle > No Relation. Same owners (all LTrain Vintage locations), but No Relation is more expensive because of the location. Take the short trip to Brooklyn for a much bigger store with lower prices
I was wondering if any of the thrift stores have lower priced merchandise. For vintage shoppers looking for neat pieces, those prices may be okay, but for people looking for discount clothing, they were steep. Of course, I expect consignment to be on the higher end of pricing and in my area of the country with much lower cost of living than NYC, our thrift prices for general clothing are sometimes higher than I think secondhand clothing should be.

I also know that within stores like Goodwill, prices can vary - like they will have a designer or items with tags section with higher prices and the more traditional thrift stuff too. I know there has been discussion in the past few years about how the rise of vintage trends or resale sites results in an increased in prices for the stores that may be the only place some people can seek to buy clothing.
Have you seen yourself in the digital ads around the city? ...(wrote that before watching)..you did see them! ...I see them all the time and I'm so happy because I have a pair of pants you made and sold on whatnot 🥰🙂
You are me younger, lol, I love bookstores, yarn and knitting and I sew. I had an idea to find a quilt and make a jacket and today I saw your video when you did that. I went to goodwill today, didn't find a quilt but found a great afghan, but I like it as it is , lol, I'll keep looking. Love your videos.
Omg. Strands bookstore was in lower NYC years ago. I worked in the Federal Building and shopped at Strands Bookstore. Old new rare books. I was in my early twenties then. I am 73 now.

Yes, they do let you on with knitting needles and scissors of a certain size. Check your requirements. Has nothing to do with being a nice person.

I had already planned to bring an extra bag for all the goodies I plan to buy but after seeing your thrifting adventures, I might just need to purchase an additional suitcase (thrifted of course) to bring my haul back to Texas. Recommend putting a suitcase inside your suitcase (carry on sized) so you can fill it up w goodies!! Check out goodwills & all the other vintage shops in Brooklyn!

There are tons of thrift stores under the #LTrainVintage tag! There are 3 in Bushwick alone! (That’s in Brooklyn, near Williamsburg) there are also Goodwills I recommend visiting near Murray hill.
I love nyc, but I wasn’t a thrifter when I was there. Next time I go, I will hit up all the thrift stores
