Respectfully, you seem to be giving mixed messages. It's okay for her to see that im the street, which is mentaly normalising it. Then you express your true feelings about it being normalised in school. Personally I agree with you, it's against nature. Be mindful that you communicate that in a consistent way to your child.
I believe she meant there is a limit to how she can control what her kids see on the street. However, she will not condone intentional indoctrination or normalizing things she does not agree with. I am pretty sure she is open to explaining what she stands for if her kids are curious about what they see on the street or on TV.
I can’t stop someone in the street and make them fix up, if the kids see them as we pass by, we have to keep it moving. But it’s in the teaching / learning of it I will not stand for. I don’t think it should be in the streets, but the country we currently live in is filled to the brim with it everywhere and people like that take advantage of that fact.
