IN 11:10 , Can a double root have the same Eigenvector? instead, why can't we use the assumption technique (which you said in the previous problem) to find X3 ....so that we can find distinct eigenvectors for the same eigenvalue (lamda=2)? please answer me ma'am :)

When we are having two different equations to solve for corresponding lamda means we will get unique eigen vector eventhough it is a repeated root

For symmetric matrix only we can check eigen vectors. Dot product of any two eigen vecotors are zero
