I have been looking at different tutorials to make one for an upcoming birthday, and no one else had the decorations/topping portion, which is where I needed some inspiration, so thank you!
I just used gel coloring to color candy melts and white chocolate chips. I first mixed the gel food coloring with avocado oil first before adding to the chocolate. Beautiful cake!

How do you firm up the buttercream? You said to add buttercream.... that doesn't make sense. Do you mean powdered sugar? Also, what did you put on the letters before frosting?

Not at this point unfortunately. I mean I do but I haven't shared it. We use a lot of my recipes at the bakery I work at and I don't want to step in toes.

It is well saturated with simple syrup, and I did it as the very last order before it was picked up.

What size pan is this and how deep?
We baked them in half sheet pans. About 1 1/2-2" tall and then sorted in half.
