One reason that Lucy Olsen is such a scorer is that she actually shoots the ball instead of passing it off to someone else. She makes her own openings for shots because she believes in herself. Many of her teammates would score more if they'd shoot instead of fake shooting and then passing off to a teammate. Sydney Affolter started showing that she has what it takes and needs to show that for the rest of the season. Kylie also. Hanna has what it takes and needs to run the floor faster on every fast break so someone can rifle the ball to her. O'Grady sure could be a lot better if she would just make her layups and quit lumbering down the court. Personally I'd like to see AJ Ediger start instead of O'Grady. AJ is faster and has better skills near the basket but O'Grady gets all the minutes and AJ rides the pine.
I kind of agree about Ediger, but O'Grady had a great start to the season, and it also makes sense to develop Ava Heiden for the sake of the future of the team. Seems like they're holding AJ back as injury insurance.
@@cucinare-da-zero O'Grady has very little in the way of moves. If she has her back to the basket then 9 times out of ten she just looks for someone to pass off to. That is weak. She has very little in the way of skills associated with a good Big.
They really need to figure out how to play Fast. That's the biggest difference between them today and the Caitlin Clark era. ANd that falls to Olsen. She is tasked to be the new team leader and there are times that she looks like playing as a backup role...
@@Jackk5744 At times, I said. And dont act as if they just came from a Loss to Tennessee just because they cant break a press. Iowa State was an easy win if they can actually play fast. Crooks cannot run, AT ALL.
Yeah we all get it. Last year they played “fast” and beat Iowa State 67-58. This year they plodded around, played like three toed sloths and won by 75-69. So glad you pointed out how disappointing this year’s 9-1 team is compared to last year’s 9-1 team.
We love you!! Way to dig deep ladies! So fun to watch, electricity in the stands!!
WOW Incredible game
Won by six points. Six points made by each - Affolter, Feuerbach, Guyton. Sad that the Cyclones lost, ecstatic that the Hawks won.
Great job!
Shades of Ring Lardner .
Keep up the good work.
And Go Hawks!
See ??? This Vol fan knew how good you guys are after the effort you put up against my Tennessee. Great effort !
Iowa fans are different,full arena
What a great report!

affolter she have a potential to be a ⭐
Great recap!
Great job Ladies.
I hope they keep on practicing the free throw and 3points. They dont shoot 2much
Cyclones didn't keep the foot on the gas.
They had no answer for Olsen. I think if Olsen really wanted to she could have put up 40+ points. Easily. But she is not a selfish player at all.
Go Hawks!!!
Crook hasn't the stamina to last an entire game and that is the difference.

25 points 5 assists two steals….damn good for a backup
