Thank you Tim, I so appreciate your willingness to be humble enough to post your progress. "It's all good - it's all fun". I'm learning long belly, find myself making progress, then I regress and it all goes to pot. I think the key is to not get too discouraged, if it goes to pot, I return to a simple in line cast, then work back to a single spey. And when I make a good single spey - I call the session a win. Self grace is so critical to learn.

I agree, self grace is so necessary and productive and being over critical of oneself can be very counterproductive!

I keep coming back to this one as I especially like the last casts on the video. Huge amounts of aerialized line flowing in curves and spirals. Reminds me of Janusz Panicz, my unofficial artist in residence. As I believe I have said before, this is my favorite type of spey casting; so beautiful. You also do very well with the long line. And don't discount yourself when talking about powerful casters; you are one of them. I've seen your videos. Seen you hit the trees on the far bank. I see past your self-depreciating narrative while taking note of your sincere willingness to help move others forward. Without your consent, I have chosen you as my unofficial mentor. Bold move on my part.

Forgo the wallpaper and keep peace at home! lol I would like to introduce myself through private messaging. I have an email address for you from an earlier exchange but I won't use it without your permission. I do not wish to become overly familiar, too soon and thereby create concern. I value your privacy and security as much as my own. Be forewarned, though, that I am a boat rocker and I speak my mind, often much to my chagrin. Honesty is probably my sole virtue. I am a modern day equivalent of an aged Don Quixote and still looking for dragons to do battle. So carefully think about whether or not an exchange as outlined is acceptable. Peace from the Skagit.

Powerful casting there, Jedi. Even left you short of breathe at times; your breathlessness showed during parts of your narrative. At times it looked like you might launch yourself with the cast and only gravity interfering. Too physical for me, my back wouldn't take it. It actually makes Skagit casting, with its heavy sink tips and huge flies, seem far less extreme.

One of your best videos Imo. Is that left foot out of the water one of your signature moves? :-) I really enjoyed the video.

This is the Galeforce competition shooting head. Awesome line! But its very heavy. I love the Galeforce 15 M extended head for regular fishing rods. Redshed fly shop in Pec Idaho is the place to go! yhst-9494565811469.stores.yahoo.net/gaelforce1.html
