FAB - I have 2 ex-racers. One flat and one ex-hurdler. They are both thriving after they retired from racing. Both do dressage and showing now. Thank you, Paul and Co for a peep into your yard. Loved seeing Francesca ride too as we only tend to see her looking amazing on course commentary.
Paul Webber is a wonderful person. His yard is so organised. He is so relaxed which transfers to his horses. He is a brilliant communicator. Good luck in 2023. Happy horses...happy life
Great to see all the science, technology and love that goes in to the training by the entire yard and partnered companies. Thank you for all your hard work
Amazing video, i have loved añd watched National Hunt racing for many years but never imagined how dedicated the trainers añd staff were in getting horses ready for racing and how they loved añd cared for all the horse's in the yard .It is obviously a long hard day's work for all but most rewarding. I know this from the experience of owning horses myself. Loved the video añd looking forward to being part of a syndicate añd hopefully visiting a racing yard soon.
Fantastic to watch a superb insight into a fantastic sport where people work so hard .I was an independent greyhound trainer for 25 years and I was on the road walking the dogs at 3am .I loved it .I think kindness went a long way to how the dogs ran for me .I love being part of old gold racing .
Great video. Sorry to have missed the shares in Lady de Vega. Maybe next year... Love the water walk. excellent facility. And they can go hacking in the woods. Wonderful
A very interesting and enjoyable video. I never thought I would see Francesca schooling over jumps ! I did a visit to Paul's stable a few years ago with the Racegoers' Club and he and his staff treated us very well despite the freezing weather. We also got a huge tray of homemade pasties. I was therefore very happy to see them get their Festival win with Indefatigable (especially as I had backed her at 25-1 !).
If thoroughbred racing and those that partake in it interest you, you might enjoy First Mount, a short novelette that I read recently about a young jockey’s travails at making the weight to get his first ride and what he’s willing to endure to get it.
I enjoyed watching your TH-cam video very much as it was very interesting please can you send me more old gold club TH-cam videos please. Do you have any flat horses?
Hi, I am studying horse behaviour and care and for my current assessment I have been asked to ask a breeder some questions about breeding. Would you be able to assist me with answering a few questions?
I enjoyed watching The behind the scenes youtube video very much the trainer was up very early to feed the horses I saw the trainer feed lady de vega and then the staff came in to exercise the horses and think that horses know what’s expected of them. Paul Webber had a winner in the last race at Uttoxerter on Saturday 15th May 2021 the horse was called Hello Sunshine. I would very much like to meet you and the team one day.
Yes the science??? Horses bones don’t fuse until they’re six. In the greedy USA, we race our babies at 2 and 3. Haven’t we evolved as a species, no, we haven’t. Does anyone know what happens to these horses when they’re no longer needed. Am, Fram, meat market. How about all the meds before they race. The damage done to these animals and trying to retrain them so they have a useful lives is very difficult and not for the timid, I’ve had many! Lets grow up you men, lets not get our excitement by which horsey goes the fastest. I promise the crap table is much more exciting and we won’t damage the beautiful soul of another horse.
