How good is it? I only really found miku last year and had no idea it was this. I thought it was all edm. (nothing wrong with edm) But this particular song and its writer Wowaka... Wowaka was something special. His lyrics are deep. Real. And the musicianship!! The miku live shows are just top tier. No wonder sokoninaru and wagakki band do miku covers. Such quality in there... I can listen to vocaloid music, but not too much. It feels (to me) weird after a while. Hatsune Miku is the most popular vocaloid avatar (how you call the characters?). The most popular song of Wagakki band is hers - Senbonzakura.
Every good Waggaki Band song is a Vocaloid. They aren't good at writing music. Vocaloid has the best songs. I don't like their cover of Senbonzakura I think they do too many solos and stray from the original melody too much. I do like their cover of Phony. Vocaloid is all about songwriting.
It’s clear that 2019’s magical mirai Unknown Mother Goose moments is better than 2020’s magical mirai, because of covid, the spectators is not allow to shout and they have to wear mask during concert. In 2019’s concert the spectors sings together and shout throught out this song to show their respect to Wowaka.
As a fan of vocaloid, I can say that I stayed on this side because there is literally all kinds of music, anyone can compose and show their art without the need of a music production company behind. Wowaka was one of them, and he was really an excellent composer, among the best vocaloid composers I know, there are Deco27, Utsu-p and my favorite Kikuo. It has the BEST songs. The original voice files for Miku were recorded by Taki Fujita a Japanese voice actress. She's been in a million anime including Attack on Titan.
