Out of all the terrible ways the West Indies batsmen’s got out on this pitch, I think the Rovman Powell dismissal was a brain fade. Why would you try to run a ball down to third man on a pitch that has that much variable bounce.
And that’s not the first time he’s gotten out playing that silly shot. High risk for low reward.

Chases' shot was bad for the time as well. He could've tried striking his ball thru the offside or try clipping it away rather than going for a horizontal shot without picking up the pace of the wicket.
Russell is seriously talented and a great ball striker not to mention the awesome athlete that he is but I think he has a very poor cricket brain. Before he got out to Trent Boult I was reminding some friends about his dismissal against Mitchell Starc in the 50 over WC. In the same breath he was dismissed.

Charles and Russell clearly ĺack cricket brains. Thanks to Rutherford who has that acumen. Charles performs on a statistical average of one in three occasions and must be credited to countryman Sammy for still being in the rotation.
I agree that Charles is average, his performance is not consistent, however he made it back into the team because of his performance in CPL not because of Sammy.
Every time Charles' selection comes under question, he goes out and hit 50 from 16 balls.

Ricardo was just clarifying what he said because he felt he was being misquoted and that whatever he said being taken out of context. Nothing wrong with him clarifying what he said lol. But the debates are what make this show fantastic. I watch this show for the debates and the analysis and the friendly jabs they all take at each other. I agree with Ricardo though, he wasnt saying the top 5 was not bad in the NZ game. He was just saying one cannot say the batting was bad as the batting comprises not just the top 5 but all the way down to maybe no. 10. We bat that deep and must bat as a unit and utilize most of our batting resources in a T20 game. So while one can say the batting of the top 5 was poor, it is not fair to say the batting was poor.
He never gave lance the opportunity to share his point. That's not debating that bullying!

Bowler get pick to bowl and batter should bat , my question to Ricardo if the bowlers not bowling well , would they ask a batter to bowl so for me is the bowler always faces shit wen they batters fail cause they has to go out and bat wen that should not be their jobs even thought we know they can bat . @ayanda104 there's no rush to play Shamar in those matches. Probably in St Lucia he may come in because the wicket there is pace, the bowlers are bowling well thus far, but I'll play Shamar for Shepherd in St Lucia.
