    What a nice change, I want to make these this week and I love the idea of making my own recipe book. It’s been years since I have had these at a Greek restaurant. They were good then, hope mine will be as well.

    I love your cigar rolling. These look good, I have never tried grape leaves. The only leaves I roll are cabbage leaves when I make cabbage rolls where I mix half ground beef and half ground pork. 😊

      Are you Canadian? I usually here Cabbage Rolls from Cdns and stuffed cabbage from Americans...lol

      Lol ☺️ I’m American. My husband and his family are Lebanese American. They always call them rolled grape leaves but I see “stuffed” more often on recipe internet searches so tried to include both 😅

    Hi Marie! Where do you buy the grape leaves snd what brand do you prefer? They looked delicious!! Thank you for sharing. 🙂

      Hi Lisa! My local grocery store carries them. I think the jars are next to pickled items like okra and capers, so you might check there. You can also find them on Amazon if you don’t mind buying in bulk, and then I’m sure any Mediterranean / Middle Eastern market would have a great selection. The brands I usually get are Krinos or Orlando. Let me know if you need anything else 😊 Thanks for watching ❤️, Marie

    Try parboiling your rice.
    It lessens the chance of your grape leaves from bursting due to rice expansion.
    Thanks for your time posting.

    YUM! Thank you for sharing this. I definitely want to try making these as I always enjoy eating at a Middle Eastern restaurant but have never attempted to make them. Do you have a preference to the brand of grape leaves you use? Or rather any you would say to stay away from? I love using labne at home - by itself or spruced up with some seasoning and lemon juice as a dip. I'm looking forward to more Lebanese recipes on your channel! Cheers and Happy Holidays! ~marie

    Quick question about the grape leaves please. I have a large jar of grape leaves that’s packed in brine, how do I go about rinsing it off without destroying the leaves? I’d like to make this recipe for the holidays. Thank you Marie!👍🏼🎄

    • @marieskitchen
      @marieskitchen  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi! Thanks for watching! I actually prefer the flavor of the brine so I don’t rinse mine 😅 But I know lots of people do. I would place them in a colander in the sink and then use your hands to lift leaves and let the water run through. Excited for you to try these! ❤️, Marie

    Marie, can we roll up the meat into the grape leaves and freeze them before cooking or should we cook everything first and then freeze?

    So I assume that you squeezed half of that lemon in? It just magically appeared in the pan with no explanation.
