I received the Murph for Christmas and I can't be more pleased with it. I'll never allow myself to get an Explorer, and the Murph fits that style along with having it's own story and unique appearance. And, 80 hours of power reserve still blows my simple mind after having Miyota-driven Laco as well as the NH35 and whatever caliber is in my vintage Tag Heuer.
I picked up a seiko arnie last week as a early birthday present to myself. Not stopped wearing since. I'd been wanting one for years and as a person with a 8 inch wrist it fits perfectly.
Honestly, I appreciate you adding the prices cause I’m tired of watching watch videos and having to pause and look up how much a watch is 😂 and good video, really nice list
I bought during Christmas time the Certina DS Action GMT Powermatic 80 in Brown colour for 780 euros. It was the pick to be my first "luxury" watch and tbh I am proud of having buy It ❤
Some good choices in that selection. Nice to see a recognition of what affordable means to different people. A bit disappointed that you didn't call for a wrist check. As I wanted to finally be able to chime in with the vintage (birthyear) Omega Constellation that Santa was kind enough to bring me!
Very nice video Harrison as usual. Found a couple of new watches to consider. When are you going to do another photography video? The last one was stellar.
MHD ~ Should have done one of three things with the Date window. 1- Left it out entirely. 2- Contacted Bell & Ross to source their Date wheel at that position. 3- Put their window at the 6 O'clock position. That Date feature the way it is, looks ridiculous! Makes the watch look incredibly cheap instead of more expensive than it is.
@ I have the green. I absolutely love it. I wish I had waited and got the purple dial because that is my favorite color but I bought my the first minute of pre order. I would consider the 37mm or new 40mm simply because I like the date function. That being said I really like the less than 7mm thickness and don’t mind the manual wind.
Am I the only one who doesn’t love Hamilton? I was so excited thinking it was the perfect watch until I saw it in person. It is so reflective which takes away the depth the dial has. It looked way better in pictures.
I bought a Certina GMT recently, good price from CH. Opted for the non-bezel version, as a bezel is a complication too far for me. So far so good. It's joining me on my travels next week, though I'll be certain (spot the anagram!) to switch to my Fossil beater at some destinations! I'm up for a moon-phase watch at some point, but I don't imagine it'll be that Selton.
Could you do a review on less affordable watches? I have 12-20k to spend and some videos covering this price bracket would be great. I'm leaning towards a Panerai Sub at the moment...
Moonswatch yes look expensive and cost per wear will be so expensive because once it's done and out of warranty, you cannot do anything with it except bin it.😅
I liked the Murph until I seen one in person and on my wrist. I thought the opposite of this video and thought the watch looked cheaper than what the price indicates. To me, the dial looks like paper and the numerals look cheaply done.
What does "affordable watches" even mean? There are people with enough money that Patek Philippe are "affordable watches." And there are a lot of people in this world who look at these watches and would never consider these affordable. "Affordable watches" to who? Who gets to decide what gets to be called affordable?
@@SamuraiJackson let me rephrase my words , in any community 10 % should be rich , 10 % poor and 80 % should be the middle class, sure under each segment there are subcategories. generally cheap to affordable to expensive is measured according the middle class society standards and what they can buy and what they have to save to buy and what they cannot buy.
Man, you definitely forgot Henry Archer!

Harrison, phonetically Maen Hudson 38mm MARK 4.

You show the Gorgeous Selten Salvage the cam out on the mop phase that’s clearly in development and needs to be finished some day….im flabbergasted!🤣

Great video as always

I prefer my Maen Manhattan 39 ultra thin.
Awesome watch!
What color? I'm looking at the light blue one. How you like it?

Phoebus dive watches at 280 quid is a remarkably good watch.
I agree. My diver is a Phoibos Wavemaster and that thing is an incredibly reliable tank.
Spinnaker is a sleeper micro. I have their 50 phantoms, and it’s an absolute conversation starter. Great quality for money

today with my lovely Khaki Aviation Converter GMT ⌚️
I think my Hamilton Intra-Matic Auto Chrono looks more expensive than it is.

Hamilton name brand is considered luxury brand???
It's swiss, so it's implied.
@ so u mean every thing say Swiss made is considered luxury name brand ???

Seconded
i see that affordable watches look affordable, but some are value for money, i.e of a better quality than the other affordable ones have .

Since when is a 1000 pound watch is affordable???
$84 a month over a year saving up isn’t that far fetched.
its relative more than the time 😂
$1000 is the new $500…
👍
