I just did a pendant like that with a second gallery setting. I wish I could add a picture to this. I hate those days when your divider won’t stay home.

Its a coincidence that my style of making things really suits making jewellery at home

To mark equal points on a circle, I have a piece of white cardboard with a '+' on it - and then lighter/thinner lines inbetween those

I love your vids bro. I think I know why some folks, at least from the USA, are commenting and wondering why you never mount (set) any diamonds. It is a language thing. When I read the name of your channel and clicked on it I fully expected to see someone who mounts diamonds. We call the mounts, 'settings'. A diamond mounter therefore, mounts or 'sets' the stones into their setting. You call it a mount, whereas you would have a stone 'setter' who sets stones into their mount. Very subtle and interchangeable use of verb and noun.

could you please explain how you calculated the exact size for cutting out the first circle/plate. i imagine it is a critical measurement...

I placed the amount of stones I wanted to use in a circle around the centre stone evenly spaced out and measured the circumference with my calipers. Cut it out a little larger to allow space for filing it back

@@DiamondMounter OK great thanks. I imagined it to be rather involved and needing to allow a certain amount of room around each stone etc.

Rewatching as you know I always do😆 I noticed your collet block is a 28 degree block. I was going to purchase one and have always been under the impression a 17 degree block is more suitable for jewelry making. Can you clarify please?
