    I was shocked when you said 1994. Looks like it's from the 60s. Cool tractor!

      me too, I was thinking ''real vintage'' tractor, til today I had never seen one like this. Thanks Earl of Indiana(Taryl), and no thanks to King Slack (Junior) JKing ya. This was a good vid.

      Looks like the design was from the 1960s but the company releases a few every so often sort of like how you can get Coke in the old fashioned glass bottles around Christmas time.

    I'm 48 yrs old and have seen just about every mower or tractor made...until now lol. I've never seen or heard of one of these. Very cool little machine...thanks Taryl!!!

      HaHa!! 48? You kids think you have seen it all and know it all. Too funny!!

      @josephbrabenderiii2049 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@james1795 Yeah...a neighbor (when I was a kid...mid-late 50s) had a riding mower of similar design. Looked like a 3 wheel golf cart, no cab, mower deck. Death trap is right...saw him tip over more than once personally. I'm 69 now and don't consider myself "old"😅😅 And after retiring as a mechanical engineer of 45 years, know enough to never say that I've seen everything.

    I used to work on small engines. I'm 57 and worked at a hardware store for about 15 years in the shop part, all alone only on the 4 cycles, then on 2 and 4 the last 5 years, 2 cycle guy retired. I'm retired now but I knew all lawn equipment from a young age, I miss it so bad, I could probably open a shop but I just don't have the space, have the knowledge. Take care my friend, love your "SHOW" lol

    LOL.... I used to have an older one... that had 5hp tecumesh enginr... so funky set up with drive pully on top under recoil starter... mow fine when it ran.. end up installing spinner knob on the steering wheel.. so, I can swing the booger 180 degrees to mow the next pass, kinda like zero turn.. lots of fun, as long as lawn is flat without hills.. A fellow in town here has a.......FORTY INCH DECK Swisher. The only time I've seen one.
    I've had two Swishers over the years. First one was a crank type Tecumseh or Briggs. The second one, bought new in '92, conventional pull start Briggs. Both were 32". Neither had a foot pedal for drive engagement, used a lever on the steering column. Speed changes were accomplished by twisting a double knobbed shaft.
    Good for mowing a VERY level lawn otherwise it was scalp city!

    Had a Big Mow in the 60s -70s. Had a wind up starter. And steering spinner knob. So you never had to stop. Just turn fast. Could pop a wheelie on a hill backwards. Wish I had it now.

    How can you not love the raw simplicity and out of the box thinking that made this mower a reality.
    There were a lot of smart people around putting these ideas into practise, not always hitting the mark but
    at least they had a go, leaving products like this in the pages of history, and sadly they will never come by again.
    Great job bringing it back Taryl, many would have just junked it or parted it out.

    You sure use that WATER DISPLACEMENT 40,a lot for penetrating oil! You know that's not what it's made for!! Just kidding 😂 ( no I'm not),,, no seriously, that some good stuff for a lot of things! I get tickled when you get on to people about stuff like that,, and when you use the prybar and hammer on the flywheels to remove them!! I'm getting hooked on your videos! I'm glad you're teaching people how to do things without all the "SPECIALITY" TOOLS! LIKE THE "PROFESSIONAL SMALL ENGINE MECHANICS" HAVE TO USE SO THEY CAN WORK ON SOMETHING!! YOU'RE PROVING THINGS CAN BE DONE JUST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER WITH JUST BASIC SHOP TOOLS! AND I SINCERELY APPLAUD YOU FOR THAT! KEEP THIS GOING!!

    Used a Ride King as a kid when mowing a yard for a neighbor. But we had a Big Mow which I think is the predecessor to a Ride King. It didn't have a pull start but a crank up gadget that was miserable.

      My father bought a BIG MOW back in 1966, one speed, recoil start, hand clutch, 6 hp. but at least I got to ride and not push the mower. My uncle had a RIDE KING in 1965 almost identical, both by Swisher. In 2016 Home Depot was selling updated versions of them for $3600, as zero-turn mowers.
