Man I wouldn’t know what the hell I was doing on a chassis swap like this but this series has me itching to go cut some shit up and get my first one done 🙌🏼
Hell yeah dude! Can you do a video one day of repairing the drip rail and cab on that truck? I got a 56 f100 that needs that done and I’m debating if I try to do it myself or just pay someone
Hi this is Art from El Paso Tex.Love your videos an your idea's I've liked to do stuff like that with old cars using newer cars great job keep it up God BLESS..
Serious question. I’m a mechanic. And during my career I worked in the salvage industry as a dismantler. If you’re keeping the motor. Granny and frame. Why not just rip the body off the frame and store instead of stripping piece by piece? Easier to store parts. Etc.
@@yeetlordmcswaggins7104 watch the next few vids and it will make sense. I need the firewall, dash and floor to use in the truck. If i took the whole body off it would actually be more work cutting that shit off the body. 👍👍

I won best convertible of the show last year in Omaha at Septemberfest on a "66 Galaxie I have $2500 in....Yes it can be done, especially in our area of the country where the coastal crazies don't live.....
Should I go to mechanic school or collision repair to learn how to do this? I’ve had plenty of time to think about if I want to pursue this path and this is what I want to do with my life (I’m 30)
Honestly you’ll be better now (since your 30) to go to a local shop and see if you can get a job doing little stuff and work your way up. Mechanic/collision school is great but it takes 2-3 years and you’ll be asking to do the same thing you’re doing now. Starting small and working your way up. One of the best mechanics i ever met started out at the shop janitor/helper, then got moved to oil changes, then got moved when to little mechanic stuff, and after a few years was the head mechanic in the shop. I will say, I might not be the right guy to ask though, cus I’ve always just done my own thing.
I just saw the full video on build a rat rod for under a thousand dollars I think you found your niche just need a little more technique with the windshields keep up the good work like your stuff man
What is the best way to figure out a chassis swap? I imagine you need wheelbase, chassis length, etc. to match up? Or are there other requirements as well? Thanks!
@@CaseysCustoms yes, it’s the sound of the gears in the actuator. It is still trying to do what is designed to do but the piece going in is snapped off. It’s all plastic so. Most likely something is blocking it such as a nest or walnuts. Anything that got in there. Every time it makes a rotation it clicks.

Widen the rear fenders and leave the front fenders and adjust with offset! Let me know when you’re through so I can come pick it up and start taking it to car shows etc!
Can’t get them very cheap in the south. They don’t rust here and the bruddas love to buy them and put the big rims on them. Cheap running Vic around here couple grand.
WHERES the rest of the videos for this project???? You SHOULD make 30 minute videos for these cars, any projects you have,I assure you there's someone out there trying to do the same thing but don't know how.
I say it "can't be done under $10,000!!!!"!!!!!! Unless you know a guy who knows a guy who knows a third guy that owns his own private junkyard and has a lot of "free parts" just kicking around!! Today everybody wants "top dollar" for everything under the sun!! Sure you need that motor....but it WILL cost you and cost you dearly a lot of times!! Then just drivetrain parts have gotten into the range of "stupid expensive" as well too!! I just bought shocks for my truck and spent over $200 for four of the cheapest shocks I could find for a 1999 Ford F-150!!! And I BOUGHT THE CHEAPEST SHOCKS I COULD FIND!! Years ago you could get a running car for $50 (1970s and 1980s) and those days are long since behind us in 2020!! And today the guy with the "vintage radiator cap" wants $950 for one that has a "chrome finish" and is a "no name brand" radiator cap!! People don't keep parts anymore for anything either unless you just happen to "fall in" with a guy or a group of guys!! But that seldom ever happens as well in a lot of cases anymore either!! Bobby might have the part you need but you have to pay to add a complete second floor on his single wide trailer before he allows you to "see the box that item came in"!!! That is HOW things works these days!!
You should watch these vids closely. Everything I’ve bought has been on the market, not “from some buddy” I’m at 750 right now and have 90% of what i need
Casey are those cheap prices for the old bodies common in your area or did you just get lucky? Can't find anything remotely that cheap on the east coast.

Wheelbase, track width and a tape measure. Google is your friend .roadkill has a decent database.
That noise in the dash is the blend door actuator. In case no one answered you.
