I'm fairly certain it would rank high in prime ride time with all its elements, track length, and slower speed.
Yes Hagrids is a blitz but it is very different than any other blitz
I never considered hagrids for this video, it's kind of in the same boat as Th13teen as a family style launch rather than a true blitz

Hagrid is similar to steel dolphin but maybe a bit toned down
Pantheon runs faster and more intense when it is hotter, but when it is running slower the hangtime feels legit dangerous so it depends on what you enjoy.
@studio732jrl2 I have done Copperhead and the hangtime is crazy. The hangtime on Pantheon is good but I exaggerated a bit, although the winder at the beginning feels sorta like copperhead's hangtime but honestly a bit better due to the minimilistic lapbars. This is just my opinion and you will probably have a different one when you ride Pantheon.

The fact that Taron is not at the top when it comes to pacing is due to the tight layout. It's almost a miracle how they could fit such a long and fast roller coaster onto such a tiny piece of land. Other parks might have built a boomerang on such a small lot. The tight layout, together with the theming, enables a phenomenal feeling of speed. Taron feels faster than it already is. That's why the real pacing may only be mediocre, but it feels absolutely outstanding. And that's what counts for the guests.

Imagine someone who thought Hagrids was a blitz and they been waiting to the number 1 spot to not see it.
Calling hagrids a blitz is a stretch
People forget how much of a trail blazer Maverick really was. I remember being in high school when the POV came out and just thinking how different it looked than Dragster and Millennium Force. I haven't been to Cedar Point in years which is a shame but I did go the spring Maverick opened and even have a first rider tee in storage somewhere 😅 One of my all time favorite rides
I’ll admit I was wrong about Velocicoaster winning, that first to Cheetah Hunt. But Velocicoaster is still a better ride. Thanks for this great video!
Interesting to see the different variations of top hat that exist on these! I think the newer Blitz (VC, Pantheon) is going to be a really popular ride over the next decade.
that clip of Red Fire at 2:57 has three completely insane headchoppers right in a row. Might put it towards the top of my blitz bucket list just for that
I will say that Pantheon’s slow first inversion is great for hangtime lovers, and the outer bank, while not as aggressive as Steel Vengeance‘s, still gives great sustained flojector airtime. But that speed hill on the multi-pass launch...holy moly, it’s violent
Sad it only offers flowjector and no ejector like kondaa's

I got to Busch Gardens Tampa last week for the first time and my biggest surprise was how much I enjoyed Cheetah Hunt. I went in with low expectations since I always hear it's a family coaster but I think it's definitely a step above that. I got the 2nd row my first ride and was caught off guard by a couple of really good airtime moments in addition to rolling launches that I always find thrilling. I wanted to hit every coaster there and after multiple rides on Iron Gwazi I really only had time for one other re-ride and I made it Cheetah Hunt.
Yeah people sometimes don't like the ride as much, but I really enjoy it. There's not much airtime, but enough, and it's fast and twisty. Front row night ride is a must-do if you can!
I Like It I Think Its Easily The Best Family Coaster Unless You Count Hagrids As A Family Coaster

Rode Pantheon in 50 degrees last week. That top hat literally felt more like a midcourse brake run in the cold; hopefully it feels faster in summer.
I had a bad experience with BGW coasters in the cold also

I've been on Taron, it definitely soars with the exception of a few moments. But I can imagine if people dislike it because it's all twister, no airtime. But it is my number 1 simply because I don't think airtime is necessary for a good coaster.

The only coaster on this list I've ridden is Taron... But Taron has extreme whippy airtime and when riding for the first time I was blown away by the way this enormous coaster fits in the area! Taron is my number 2 coaster after Untamed! I think Zadra will take the number 1 position this summer, when I go to Energylandia ;-)
I've ridden only Cheetah Hunt on this list, and I love it. It's got some decent floater airtime on a couple sections, it's fast, twisty, and has a zero-g roll and 3 launches. It's not the most intense ride by a long shot, but it's just pure fun. Front row night ride is a must!
Hagrid's is similar (but a motorbike model instead) and I like it even more
Can't wait to ride Pantheon, Maverick, and VelociCoaster someday; they all look awesome!

@Victoria G Gotcha. I rode Iron Gwazi and wasn't very impressed until I rerode it in the evening when it was much crazier. Don't have a strong opinion on it yet as I need more good rides. For now my favorite is Fury 325

I wanna ride these coasters. None in Canada. Really like the Velacio Coaster. That one is neat. Sure I spelled it wrong. Maybe sometime in the next couple of years Canada's Wonderland will get a Blitz coaster. Here's hoping.
Cedar Fair would need to want to work with Intamin again for Canada's Wonderland to get an Intamin Blitz, which I don't see happening. A Mack multi-launch might not be out of the question, though, at least if Time Warp and Flight Deck get axed. Perhaps it could even be a spinning coaster like Time Traveler at Silver Dollar City, or get spinning back cars like Icon at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Ah man, three months back I went to Phantasialand and Taron had a rollback the ride before me, so I was put in a recallibration round and the LSMs were turned up to the max, that shiz was insanee. I wish it would ride like that all the time.
Full SLM taron is insane, i think they also cranck them up in the summer tbh
Didn’t get to ride Pantheon when I went to BGW because it was closed all day due to wind, but it’s still cool to see how it ranks against rides I have ridden.

I think that for pacing there should be a point system based on the feet per second and the ride’s top speed. This is because pacing means how well a ride maintains its speed, and just because a ride is faster doesn’t mean it has better pacing than another one which maintains its speed throughout

Now that I think about it I have only ridden 7 intamins, but almost half of them are the blitz model. (Maverick, velocicoaster, and cheetah hunt).
I rode pantheon in the cold morning in the back row and I wasn’t barely able to get in the seat. The amount of ejector and floater airtime was insane. Once you ride it, pantheon feels like it’s ripping through the course and before you know it, it’s over

I've ridden Pantheon, so I can pretty confidently say that it rides pretty fast, faster than that POV makes you think. I did ride it in a hot day in the middle of june, though, so maybe that skewed the experience a bit. I'll update you if I ride it earlier in the year on a colder day, I'll be getting a membership for the park in 2023 after all.
6:25 It depends on the weather. On March 4th when it was cold out, Pantheon absolutely crawled through its winder (in person, that is).

It’s always about an hour even when the park is otherwise dead. Likely because of the poor capacity the ride has.

I thought about that, same with soaring with dragon. Because of the launch it might not be, i havent seen an official stat on the top hat

Instead of measuring the track length by hand, you could just use the rcdb number, measure the length of the station and the brake section and subtract it

Actually all speeds is a 1 to 1 clone to Taron. Its just Not as fast as Taron, since Phantasialand has patent on Special LSM cooling, and thus can launch the train at higher speeds. Also Taron was never meant to be so fast. They decided in the end, they can add a few km/h in the second launch. And you recognize that the second Part of the Coaster ist pretty brutal because of that speed.
But no, All speeds has more ride time because its slower, but literally the same track. U can watch it in every side to side comparison Video.

You are right, all speeds is slower! The track Layout isn't completely identical though, the highest part of the ride after the second launch is slightly higher compared to Taron
I really want to try an intamin blitz one day.
I feel like once we get a POV of Pantheon running in warmer weather over the summer, it'll put it in a slightly better spot. I think that once it gets to run in hotter weather, it'll be insane.
True. I do try to avoid official povs because those tend to run so slow but youre right about the time of year

Maverick pacing is so surreal to me just so good, but my 2nd would be Velocicoaster it’s pacing is good but I’ll take Maverick over but don’t get me wrong Velocicoaster pacing is definitely unbeatable

Well i predicted america would see a new generation vekoma in 2023, just wasnt expecting a tilt coaster. It looks good, more than a 1 trick pony. Cotaland will make for another awesome park in the Texas Triangle

I got 4 rides in on Pantheon in on first day open to the public: Not super impressed. Better than Ice Breaker, and the Stall is better than Velocicoaster's. The spike is pretty good, and the reverse launch is great with the bunny hop. Else, not much to say about it.

the whole point of the blitz model is the LSM launches though, so including Storm Runner just wouldn't fit.
Didn’t Intamin recently rename the Blitz coaster name.
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is also in this category. That said, it's really hard to identify "prime ride time" on a coaster like this where some of the sections are slow on purpose because of thematic elements.
Actually Hagrid's isn't technically a Blitz. Yes It may have LSM Launches, but it is considered more of family launch like Th13teen
@@ShockinSammy several of these aren't technically Blitz coasters because that term has been discontinued by Intamin. But the track technology and vehicles are still the same with only the restraints varying across the model. If this list is all "Blitz" coasters then Hagrid is as well. A coaster can be a family coaster and still be the same coaster model as more thrilling models. Hence the inclusion of Cheetah Hunt.
@@zacg_ even intamin doesn't consider it part of the "LSM Launch Coaster" model, then again if you look at their product website, they consider Hydraulic launches ad LSM coasters too...

I love maverick. However I’m 6’3 and those shoulder restraints got clicked down one time too far and I was very uncomfortable and in serious pain. And what makes it worse is being stationary before and after the ride for a tad too long

Technically Red Force in Ferrari land, Salou (Port Aventura Resort) is also a Intamin LSM Launch Coaster. Just not a Blitz coaster. More a stratacoaster with a LSM launch. But Intamin says it is a LSM launch coaster. Does this fit this catagory as well or?
So is Storm Coaster @ Dubai Hills and Dueling Dragons @ Guangzhou Sunac Land, but those are a bit of a different type ride. Also Intamin claims their Acceleration coasters are LSM Coasters, even those are Hydraulic launches. Ya can't eve trust the manufacturer.
