Funny that this episode is called “Christopher” and he barely has a line in the episode. I know it’s about Christopher Columbus but it did give us one of the funniest lines ever in the show “He was gay Gary Cooper?” 😂
i love how ralphies idea of ruining native american role models was deadass just googling what native actors weren't actually indian and showing up with a poster of him
@@negritoojosclaros These are total 6 episodes he wrote for The Sopranos: "From Where to Eternity" ----the one where Christopher gets shot in Season 2 "The Telltale Moozadell"--- 9th Episode of Season 3, I can't remember the specifics "Christopher" (story and teleplay)---the one with Christopher Columbus parade "Everybody Hurts"--- the one where Tony finds out Gloria Trillo killed herself. "Marco Polo"----the one where Tony and Carmela sleep together at her dad's 75th birthday party
this is one of the best episode of the show for me bc of how satirical it is, i've listened to my family members go on the same rants about italians are discriminated and its just so funny to me
A lot of people don't like this episode, it's really funny and I love it. Especially Tony's rant against Silvio's identity politics. "You got all that not because you're Italian, but because you're you."
This episode is the lowest rated episode on IMDB with a 7.8. I really like it though and think it deserves higher. Bobby's grievance to Janice and the conversation about race, ethnicity and history that still gets talked about to this day makes this episode great.
The look Tony gives Silvio is "how the fuck did he know that?" not an accusation. They are already figuring out there is a leak... which is pretty obviously Paulie.
Omg Bobby. This hurts so fucking bad. Bobby and John Sack are by far the best gentlemen in the show morally. Also Roe, Sil’s wife and Pussy’s wife are the baddest bitches in the whole show. They got their shit on point
It's always so weird seeing episodes where they show NY's "headquarters." That bar is in Little Italy and my good friends uncles owned it at the time. Uncle Tony. I used to hang out there almost every weekend when my friend used to bartend for his uncle. That bar is also in Donnie Brasco.
the victim olympics with Hesh and Ruben to me is one of the funniest scenes in show. "antisemetism? fuck you too my man" lol. And Furio at the beginning not only does he not like Columbus but his rant sounds like Redneck talking about the "Yankees" in New York. "they always put their nose up" "take it easy" lol
Furio being the only real Italian falls on deaf ears in america. People originally from Napoli (tony's family) celebrating a Genovese sailor makes no sense. But italian americans are so far removed from real Italians they don't even understand the problem.
LMFAO! Ugh ...this episode. Always felt torn lol just because Columbus massacred my people but ALSO, I'm part Italian as well ...and Latina ......and Jewish LMFAOOOOO so 🫠 LOVE this episode though 😭 And my poor Bobby 😩 he deserves better 💔
Y'all are always reacting to my favorite shows. This, The Wire, BCS, the Boys, I love it. Any chance we getting more Attack on Titan? That show gets better and better as it goes on but I get the pace is really slow as it sometimes feels almost nothing happens in 20 minutes of an episode.
People crying about a figure from history like Columbus now days is like an adult rehashing and crying about getting beat up in kindergarten, it's ancient history. Great the way the show depicts the absurdity and uselessness of dwelling on and trying to apply and relive past conflicts today with a sense of humor.
I think you missed the point. The natives/Indians were protesting Columbus Day because of who Columbus was. Imagine there being a national holiday of someone who committed genocide and mass rape to your people, AND took credit for “discovering” land that was already occupied. The only reasons the main characters of the show were Pro-Columbus was because they are in the mob, and they get their success from extortion, force, and thieving, similar to Columbus. They are projecting their own values to Columbus because they relate to some of they tactics he used to become successful. They’re drawing a parallel to the mafia and Columbus and other Europeans colonist/explorers.
@@SwaggaNeal In history there are winners and losers, there are also sore losers. Not only mob members honor Columbus day. Columbus discovered this land for European civilization and European civilization conquered it and brought it to worldwide prosperity no matter what revisionists of history want to claim now days.
@@juanramirez-wk8ty A better word than “winners” and “loser” would be the “Oppressors” and the “oppressed”. You are so close, but at the same time, so far. Referring to violent exploiters conquering non-violent peaceful nations as winners and losers is just intellectually lazy.
@@SwaggaNeal Maybe more "intellectuals" should acquaint themselves with the concept of harsh REALITY starting with the fact that "life isn't fair." Also the fact that there is no such thing as a "peaceful nation", believing that the America's before the arrival of Europeans was some sort of "peaceful paradise" populated by "noble primitives" who could do no wrong is worse than "intellectual laziness" it's offensive.
@@juanramirez-wk8ty When did I ever claim that the Americas where a peaceful paradise before Columbus? Again, you are missing the point. It seems you are defending Colonizers for some strange reason? The reality is that people were subjugated and oppressed against their will. The natives didn’t go around colonizing other lands that wasn’t theirs.
