Awesome catfish, Rocky. Sorry you lost the bigg Un Ronnie. I feel you pain. I almost had a good Atlantic salmon, but it swam off. I used a Berkeley choppo. I saw the big salmon and a big carp surface for flies. If you guys want to rig big fish, use flies with a descent size hook built into the fly. Then, put a splitshot 8 inches above the fly. Put trophy bass on by procure game on. 😊

That is quite a testimony to the strength of that Owner Mosquito hook. I was thinking for sure they would straighten out on those fish, especially since you are fishing with braid. The technology of those hooks is something else. I guess the way they are tempered they are more likely to just snap instead of bend. I would have had to keep some of those small cats for the frying pan.
