A weird thing I do is, I ask family to keep their empty clean glass jars and I also ask them to wash out the egg shells so that I can crush them and add them to my compost, as egg shells have calcium in and plants need that to grow, also crushed egg shells stop slugs and snails.
I do all these except the hair gel. I am going to make laundry soap out of conkers (horse chestnuts). I’m also going to pick a weed in my back yard to make hair gel (here we call it plantain and the seeds are called psyllium). Always looking for ways to get ingredients from nature to avoid packaging and shipping emissions.
@@sbon4771 very cool that you can make hair gel from plantain seeds too! I also make laundry detergent from conkers ☺️ personally prefer Marseille soap but I always make it in autumn when they fall
I do some of these things because they work for my husband and I. Could you do a video 🎥 about the laundry 🧺 soap 🧼 you make? Could you also do a video about the shower water 💦 you save and areas around the house 🏡 you use it for? With the shoe 👟 odour trick, another thing could be spray with vinegar or if the weather is good, leave outside in the sun / fresh air overnight. Rags are a great for cleaning. Currently I am have a stash of cotton cloths as well as synthetic ones like microfiber cloths. I will use these up until I no longer can. The charity shops near me take clothes for rags so atm I do this because I have enough cleaning cloths. I also downgrade my tea towels for cleaning things around the house 🏡 as well. They get used for cleaning up spills, back door mat while yeh actual back door mat is in the wash, motorbike rags for my husband's motorbike, cleaning dirty things like shoes before they get put in the washing machine or bathroom 🪥 cleaning 🧼 Fun 😊 and informative video 🎥
Sure! I will do another one about the laundry soap because I have one but it is very old 😂 - if you search for Marseille soap in my videos it will come up! And yes I will do more about where I save water in the house. Thanks for the ideas! And also for sharing your tips too! I definitely need to try spraying vinegar in my shoes!
Hi Paul! Yes, the most effective way is to put a black tea bag in hot water for 2 minutes, let it cool for a minute and then put into your shoe. Leave it for minimum an hour, then take the teabag out and let your shoes dry :)
I always enjoy listening to you 😊
@@nataliadubrovskaya5956 thank you that’s so kind!
