ciao! The proof of accomodation can be your signed rental contract for example, anything that could prove that you have a place where to live during your stay in Italy! Inside our online community, besides the video guide you just saw, you can also find a dedicated article on the topic! Here is the link :) community.italianforawhile.com/c/guides/if-you-re-visiting-italy-and-you-ll-be-staying
Thank you for this video,i have a question...I am a UK citizen and in 2018 i came live with my Italian partner and his elderly parents who i was the carer for,for 5 years.I registered with the officio di anagrafe at the local comune, and have a document of residenza illuminata. I have a carta di identita and a codice fiscale. Just before Covid i applied to convert my drivers licence to an Italian one,but Covid hit and i waited almost a year to be told over and over that the offices were closed. I applied again at the beginning of August and have just been told that i need a permesso di soggiorno in order to convert it...i have the kit but need to be sure that i ask for the correct permesso...can you or anyone help please
Hi! We're always happy to help but we've got a few questions: 1. What kind of document of residence do you have? 2. When you say that you have a carta d'identità, are you referring to the Italian one? If you have an Italian ID you don't need to ask for the permesso di soggiorno 3. If you do need to ask for the permesso di soggiorno, there is only one type of this document. You just have to pay attention when completing it to only check the right boxes (first time requesting or renewal, for study or for work, etc)
@italianforawhile thanks for the reply, yes I have the attestazione anagrafe from 2018 and the carta di identità from 2022...I am converting my UK driver's licence and they don't recognise the attestazione, they want the permesso di soggiorno,i have filled out the kit and selected ,'conversione di permesso di soggiorno and attached I photocopy of the attestazione anagrafe...i Hope that's correct. I read also that I shouldn't be asked the permesso ..but I want to avoid any delays, please let me know if you think that is correct
@@fairyrelaxation hi again! To be 100% sure that what you're doing is correct we suggest you to ask directly at the office where you got your kit, or even to the authorities when you'll go hand it over. Unfortunately there are lots of nuances in these kinds of processes, and the only way to be sure it to double check with them!
Ciao! You can go without any appointment! Then at the post office you will be given an appointment for the local police station, also called "questura" in Italy, to complete your submission process.
Thank you! One question, what kind of accommodation document do I need?

Can you get a permit of stay before going to Italy?
Ciao! :) Unfortunately not, you need to physically be in Italy to collect the application kit!
Thank you! One question, what kind of accomodation documents do I need to have?
