Perennial live at Wacken is the usual next stop. Similar intensity but more prog and on stage so less post production (though still a bit, adding some subtle clean layers), and Tatiana becomes even more mesmerizing in front of a crowd. Obscene amounts of practice indeed. Subbed. Cheers!
Welcome to Jinjer. That is 100% Tatiana; she is a vocal goddess and one of the best front women in the business. The band's musicianship is second to none. To appreciate how good they are, react to their live performances. I recommend either "Perennial" live at Wacken, "Pit of Conscientious" live in Kiev or my favourite "Who is Gonna be the One" (live, Napalm Records). The Jinjer Army will be coming your way.
If you like the growling, check out Tatiana (lead singer for Jinjer) and her band's performance of the official video "Teacher,Teacher". If you want to see Tatiana as a complete bad-ass, check out Jinjer's "Sit,Stay,Roll-Over" or "Prophecy".
And here is “More of that”. Perennial (Live at Wacken) I Speak Astronomy (OMV) Vortex (OMV) Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kiev) Wallflower (OMV) Who’s gonna be the one (Live) Judgement and Punishment (One Take Vocal) Retrospection (OMV) Captain Clock (Live) Teacher Teacher (OMV) In no particular order. Have fun.
You have just found the entrance of the Jinjer rabbit hole. Check out "Cloud Factory official live video", "Retrospection live in Melbourne", "Who Is Gonna Be The One live", "Perennial live at Wacken" and Tatiana's one take vocal of "Judgement and Punishment"
Perennial at Wacken is good to see them on stage, and show off both Tatiana and the guys' technical skills - Eugene on bass, Roman on guitar, and Vlad on drums. And to give enough stuff you haven't seen to be impressive af, but not to show off everything they can do all at once. :D

🔥Welcome to Jinjer! I just found your channel, great reaction, subbed! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and beautiful growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics! The first time I heard Pisces last year I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wakeup alarm for the past year or so and I still love it more every time I hear it). TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂 Sorry for the very long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs! My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣 I love the story of Tatiana getting interested in learning to growl. In her own words, "I was inspired by Otep (Shamaya). When I was 15, my friend showed me a record of House of Secrets. I was like, ‘That dude - his voice is so powerful. And he said, ‘Oh come on Tatiana, that’s actually a woman!’ I was like, ‘What?’ She blew my mind. That was the time, the moment when I realized I wanted to shock people just like her. I just had the feeling or the intuition, like an extra sense that this is what I’m made to do.” The four current members have essentially no musical training except for Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. They've been a tour heavy band, on the road almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020, hard work that has made them fantastic live and they make it look effortless. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the newest album Wallflowers, first four videos are out for Vortex, Mediator, Wallflower and Disclosure! Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine in 2009 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see former Jinjer guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, on guitar in older Jinjer videos, and acting as an interrogator in their latest video, Disclosure! One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines her beautiful growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander, Dip A Sail and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that might do well together in one reaction). I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Note that because Jinjer has so many great official videos and so many astounding live performance videos, no Jinjer fan will ever mind if you react to a second video for a Jinjer song you've already heard, so whichever songs you choose, whatever pace you like: hope you'll keep trying more Jinjer and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘
Her growling is done by using the false vocal folds and not her vocal chords. That why she can easily switch between her clean voice and growling. If you want to understand the technique just look up for The Fairy Voice Mother reaction to this songe where she not only explains how it's done but even makes a quick demonstration. Do keep in mind however, that altought this is a technique it's not an easy one to master. But Tatiana is not the only female vocalist who can do it. Alissa from Arch Enemy, Shamaya from Otep, Morgan from Kittie or Courtney from Spiritbox are just some of the examples. And of course, Krysta Cameron from iwrestleabearonce and Empyrian Lights, who just like Tatiana not only has a very powerful growl but also a beautiful clean voice and an insane range when belting.
You two did a fantastic reaction. Jinjer are a Ukraine based band. That's Tatiana's real voice. Her growls come from years of self training. When she growls she is not using her vocal chords she is using two folds right below the vocal chords. Please check out these 4 other bands...."Wage War".( American band) songs, High Horse, Circle the drain. "Imminence". Uk band songs,. Temptation, Heaven in hiding, Erase. "Architects"(Uk band songs, Dead Butterfllies, Animal, Black lungs. And, "GOJIRA"(French band).all songs are amazing........You will truly enjoy the endless talent amongst the 4 bands. 🤟🤟🤟💯💯💯💯🇺🇲
Tatiana is also self taught, when she first started learning the scream/growl she said it sounded too girly from her, so she worked on it to make it sound like more masculine.
Yeah, and Tatiana has a significant tomboy side which I feel comes out in her growls. She was inspired by Otep after being shocked to learn that Otep is a woman, so now she's passing that feeling on heh. But she has more emulated Randy Blythe from Lamb Of God (though there are old videos from before Jinjer with a band called Prophecy that had a more punk sound where she sounds more like Otep). Not necessarily a reaction request but Jinjer did a cover of Laid To Rest when they were getting started. Best sound is the bootleg uploaded by NosSam in 2012 with the title all in Russian except the name Jinjer. Well worth checking out just for fun.
Most first timers follow up with "Perennial" live at Wacken, just to verify that it is Tatiana doing all the vocals. I suggest their MV of "I Speak Astronomy". The entire band shines on that one and Tati's vocals at the end (beware of the false ending) give me goosebumps every time.
Normally you'll get a walkthrough of jinjer, but I'd recommend Vortex as the next one. It's their new stuff, but I think you'll both appreciate it. Perennial live, teacher teacher, who is gonna be the one live...and the list will go on, but I'm throwing in for Vortex as being one you'd both enjoy out of the gate.
"Who is gonna be the one" Live is the perfect follow up to this one!! Its a concert performance outside on a nice day that showcases everything they are capable of and it is even more surprising than this one! Trust...
I had the same reaction as you when I first heard this song, courtesy of a reaction channel. Since then I have become a huge fan and took my 17-year-old to see them live. The band is just incredible and you will do no wrong by listening to more of their music. It's a rabbit hole to be certain but Jinjer is not a bad rabbit hole to go down. Have fun!!!
Welcome, if you jump on the jinjer train I see fantastic music in your future ! I would echo Jeff's recommendations but my favorite is "Teacher Teacher". Other must sees are "I speak Astronomy" and "Home Back". The guys write the amazing music and Tatiana ads the lyrics which are always very meaningful to her/them. Some songs you will like better than others but they are all great. Enjoy !
If you don’t like metal, this is gonna be your favorite of their songs. But they’re all really good and the growl is a shocker if you’ve never heard it before, so some of the reactions to this are priceless.
Not a one day fly. Just a world class band with at least 20 or more very interesting tracks for you waiting;-) And they can do it in front of small and large crowds, no problem at all. Succes!
Unleash The Archers is a Metal Band whose fronted female has been called DIO's lost daughter, and Nightwish is Symphonic Metal with the keyboard player has been called the Metal Mozart has gone through two female leads and currently has one of the most incredible front woman Floor Jansen who will make you smile so much.
"Teacher Teacher" is a great one...A little bit more angsty and Brick in the wall esque...Grin...Welcome to The Jinjer Rabbithole...It is Dark and Deep...and Enjoyable in the most terrifying and Magical way that Is Tati
I love watching women discover Tatiana. Her raw power, the contrast between the light and the dark…we all have it inside but are conditioned to think of it as “evil” or, as she said, a “demon”. Far from it. The look of wonder in this chick’s eyes is priceless. And at one point, a faint smile. Yaaaas, girl. Go there. Know your power.
Hey sister ! All meant was sounded like a demon was the only way I could describe in that moment the glory of her voice ! Nothing evil intended . My preference for music is infact, heavy metal and very much enjoy Screaming. Never ever heard a female sound like this !
That's called insane talent and being a metal goddess. You should see her do this in person. It's completely fucking awesome. They will be the biggest names in metal within 5 years. Mark my words.
Pick at random ,maybe pull the lyrics, and enjoy. I suggest "pit of consciousness" live in Kiev, or the 1st official video release from the new album, "Vortex" Their studio sound is very good, more impressive to my liking is how well they perform live
Alot of people think her microphones are fixed now to make her growl like that, even in lives lol Its all her folks 😂 she even said it.....but who knows with all the new tech....lol Good reaction, ty for posting
That look on her face before the starting of the song like she was already disgusted, but ended up being shocked. Female metal singers are a different type of beast.
submit to the idea this will be a rabbit hole you're going to go down, and as such, a couple of more songs aren't going to do it, as you will see this band is amazing. I suggest just starting with their older stuff, and bring yourself through the journey to their newest stuff. I would start with 'Outlander' and witness the stage presence of Tatiana even though her growl is in its youth, the amount of energy from the band and her persona on stage will leave you pleased. From there, do Scissors and then go into 'Cloud Factory', then 'Bad Water', then 'Who is going to be the One', then 'Just Another', then 'I Speak Astronomy', then 'Sit Stay Rollover', then 'King of Everything' which will get you a great base of where Jinjer comes from and you can move on to their Micro EP with 'Ape', 'Teacher Teacher', and 'Perennial', before moving on to their album Macro with 'On Top', 'Pit of 'Consciousness', 'Judgement and Punishment', 'Home Back', & 'Retrospection', before moving on to their newest album Wallflowers with 'Vortex', 'Wallflower', 'Mediator', & 'Disclosure'....by the time you get through this, you will have one or maybe two new releases from the Wallflowers album to do, and there is always going back and catching songs missed. Have fun and I look forward to seeing your reaction journey to Jinjer.
You should see them on stage 😃 Parennial live in Wacken ( prounounced Vaa ken ), also Teacher Teacher official video... enjoy your journey down the JinJer rabbit hole 😎
Eyes watered and got goosebumps? Awww, someone just fell in love. Tatiana is one of a kind, the only one with that insane range, and is somehow an angel and a demon at the same time. Next song from them you should watch is “Perennial” and pick the “Live at Wacken” version. On stage and in front of thousands proves that voice is hers and hers alone. 🤘🏻

Pit of Consciousness is seriously good in a singer's perspective. Perennial is awesome as well and shows their endurance, specially Tatiana.
Pit of Consciousness is heavy AF
Love first reactions priceless.but it only gets better from here, check out anything live from them .
Welcome to the Jinjer Army!
"Who is gonna be the one" Live is the perfect follow up to this one!! Its a concert performance outside on a nice day that showcases everything they are capable of and it is even more surprising than this one! Trust...
I like how the song just naturally flows between 7/8 to 4/4 and 3/4
I had the same reaction as you when I first heard this song, courtesy of a reaction channel. Since then I have become a huge fan and took my 17-year-old to see them live. The band is just incredible and you will do no wrong by listening to more of their music. It's a rabbit hole to be certain but Jinjer is not a bad rabbit hole to go down. Have fun!!!
Teacher Teacher is my fav... But pick any song and can't go wrong... Nice reaction...
Enjoy !
Perennial live at Wacken is the natural next song from here.
want female vocal chills? try Nightwish: Ghost Love Score live at wacken 2013 ;)
Ah yes, new volunteers for the Jinjer Army, welcome to the rabbit hole.
Shits gonna get a lot more heavier.
Succes!
I actually appreciate your reaction more than others. Usually I like the shocked look, but you guys had a much more pro reaction & I loved it.
Yeah we're more laid back so we might not have the shocked face but we still are impressed and whatnot from these songs usually!!
Tatiana (singer)
She somehow learned how to low growl without damaging her vocal chords. I was too shocked when Tatiana did the growl.
One of the best at false vocal frys
Any song will do with this band. My favorite is their live performance "Pit of Consciousness" in Kiev.
Seen Jinjer 6 times , its her.
Did You ever hear a song from Nightwish? I recommend " Ghost Love Score " from Wacken 2013 Official live.
We have not yet but a lot of people have been saying them so we will get to it.
No what i was expecting... 5 seconds later, wow
perennial live must be next now lol
Pick at random ,maybe pull the lyrics, and enjoy. I suggest "pit of consciousness" live in Kiev, or the 1st official video release from the new album, "Vortex" Their studio sound is very good, more impressive to my liking is how well they perform live
Wow, that was quick, haven't had time to explore your channel. Are you in the USA?
Yes we are!
Jinger Judgment and Punishment is a live take of her singing and switching back and forth
"she's got a demon in there"
"Ya or that".
I'm dead....hahab
knowing we all clicked on this song for that one specific moment makes the world a little less small
Alot of people think her microphones are fixed now to make her growl like that, even in lives lol Its all her folks 😂 she even said it.....but who knows with all the new tech....lol Good reaction, ty for posting
Who is gonna be the one live is a good one
I love all these reaction vids to Tatiana's vocal abilities. LOVED IT.
You need to watch Perennial live at Wacken. Just wait. Jinjer is phenomenal
First reaction I've heard mention the Star Wars poster. 🤣 Nice reaction.
There is a little bit of layering in places where her voice is added to (double vocals).
It never gets old seeing people react
That look on her face before the starting of the song like she was already disgusted, but ended up being shocked. Female metal singers are a different type of beast.
yall need to start at the beginning with "Scissors"
submit to the idea this will be a rabbit hole you're going to go down, and as such, a couple of more songs aren't going to do it, as you will see this band is amazing.
You are going down the Jinjer rabbit hole
These guys are amazing, she's done a one take of Judgement and Punishment, also need to listen to Teacher Teacher
she is entering in ''sing mode''!
she smokes, she drinks, she is like one of us!
but she isn't really like us!
Spiritbox- circle with me. They are truly amazing
Am I evil for enjoying the wait as the reactors get lulled into a false sense of unknown before the bottom falls out?🤔 YES, YES I AM. 😈
You should see them on stage 😃 Parennial live in Wacken ( prounounced Vaa ken ), also Teacher Teacher official video... enjoy your journey down the JinJer rabbit hole 😎
Thanks! New Jinjer reaction this week!
Just saw them live in Boston, better live. The musicianship is insane!
Old jinjer, live 2014 best metal act competition, OUTLANDER.
Perennial live at W.A.O. 2019
