20 years ago Paula Denning realized her marriage was in trouble. Her husband senator Mark Denning was very fond of the lovely widow Clarissa McCandless. On the advice of the scheming Myrna Clegg, Paula pretended to be an agoraphobic, one who fears leaving the house obviously the senator couldn’t divorce his ailing wife at least he looked callous. The charade ran smoothly for two decades then fate stepped in. Paula’s housekeeper and doctor discovered her secret so she murdered them. Sensing that Mark would divorce her anyway Paula decided to do away with Clarissa. At an affair held at the Denning mansion Paula snuck down from her upstairs apartment a shot rang out and Clarissa lie motionless on the floor. Paula thought she had the perfect alibi who would ever suspect her? She hadn’t left her room in 20 years. Although Clarissa fully recovered that didn’t stop Mark from trying to find out who shot her.
CAPITOL was a great soap,so horrible the ending no resolution to anything!!!!it was the most expensive half n hour soap i remember reading and it sure looked like that
In the opening montage, i recognized, there's Julie Adams (kate in Creature from the black 🖤 lagoon), aside of course from Carolyn Jones (Morticia the Addams family). I was working f/t and school, 1982, i caught one two episodes. Remembering the news reporting that Carolyn Jones just went into surgery, and was in the midst of starring as the matriach in this good premise of capital life, i was always in wonder of politics hiw it works, power. But I'm simple folk here, Soon after 2 years i believe from the premiere, she departed, from the cancer. It was a reminder, she was 53, i was just 19, Life is precious, I'm 60 Now and a lot of friends coworkers family passed on, and i was diagnosed myself, though I'm good for now. Here and there I'm reminded it's nor the same, but positively Each day counts, make it count. ❤

Thanks for the question Mike. I have unearthed a few hundred tapes from my aunts collection and I am going through them. She was a big CBS soap fan so I am guessing I will have quite a few. Check back and I will prioritize those if I have them
@@anna-mariewilson8368 I agree, I've seen some episodes here and there, but to be able to see it from the beginning would be great. Wish I had a ton of money to start a classic soap channel, Capitol would be one of the soaps I'd try to air

Yeah, but she was malingering. Remember she hid the gun in the bolster. Mrs. Barrett tried to take it away and was severely reprimanded.
