As one of the authors, i'm so happy to see this kind of video. I'm a huge HeroQuest's fan since its beginning. My goal was to use OrcQuest stuff in HQ and vice-versa.
I suspected OG heroquest fans behind the game when I saw the square bases in OrcQuest. :D Sadly I missed the funding...hopefully there will be a reprint someday. :D
The larger orcs could always be bosses or adult versions in HQ. That's how I would use them anyway. Also, can make an orc warlord, champion, etc. monster card.
I feel like every time content from OrcQuest is posted either on TH-cam or Reddit, the question always gets brought up of “can we still buy it?” If for no other reason, I’d love to get my hands on a copy just for the orc minis. I am smitten with this orc design! Thanks Ash for the OrcQuest content! Keep it coming!!

Can I use OrcQuest to clean my bathroom? Can I use OrcQuest to herd sheep? Can I use OrcQuest to change the alternator on a 1987 Nissan Pulsar? Can I use OrcQuest to treat type 2 diabetes? Can I use OrcQuest to install Linux on a HTPC?

Oh yeah, Avalon Hill re-released HQ in 2021 and it has been enjoying a resurgence in popularity! Not without its bumps along the way, but it's a good time to be a fan! Thank you for the kind comment!

An interesting mechanic with the dice for and room generation. I can see a random grab from a bag so that you could include furniture and traps as well. For the minis, they look good enough to play on the table, especially since the bases seem pretty close to the 1 inch square. As for a facing mechanic, it's one that I've been playing with on HQ, so that there are boons and banes depending on direction of facing versus attack. Sorry I missed out on backing this. Hopefully there will be a commercial or another run that I can jump into for this.
Ash any chances of showing the thousand cards that go with the game? Even for a second each, it will help those of us who want to homebrew to know what is available for conversion.

Humorously (to myself, and probably only to myself), I followed the development of OrcQuest from the original KS for the card game by Maze Games. I didn't back it, because Competitive card games aren't really my kink, but I loved the art, and in particular the homage to the original HQ box art... Which naturally, made me wonder about the possibilities of a full fledged dungeon crawl set in the OrcQuest universe. Then when the first KS was launched for the board game, I was even more excited by the idea, but wasn't quite sold on the design approach. The mechanical game design, not the artistic design. After that first KS ended, I had a little FOMO for not backing... Until the unfortunate realities of that campaign's failure to be fulfilled made me glad I didn't, but mostly sad that this unusual love letter to HQ wouldn't exist in the wild. Then came Monolith's resurrection campaign... And I really waffled on backing it. I liked the idea of getting another chance at the game, and REALLY liked the idea that through this campaign original backers would get their long-awaited goods. But it just wasn't in the budget, and ultimately I passed, though I did throw in a buck for access to the PM "Just in case." Now, why is this all humorous to me? Well because from day one, what I really wanted was additional HQ components. Seriously, when I thought about it, I had little intention of playing OrcQuest, (Not that I wouldn't play someone else's copy), and every intention of cannibalizing it for bits...*Chuckle*... Not the least of which, were the tiles. And at this point the tiles are still the primary FOMO, such as it is, that I feel. I'd dig owning the game for it's place in extended HQ history, and as a hard won success story to HQ fan fervor, but really, in the secret depths of my heart, I want those tiles! Thanks for fueling my FOMO in the best possible way, Ash.

Orc quest heros could be bosses in heroquest…..and same as heroquest heros to orcquest

I believe monolith said they were only doing the kickstarter and it was not going into production and wont be supported in future.
