You have a true friend right there with your dog. There's nothing that compares to the friendship of a dog. They will love you forever, no matter what.
In a world full of so much craziness, it's nice to come across someone as genuine as Richard. Keep it up man, you bring light to many!! Can't wait for the spring fishing to come
Hi Richard , This is Richard wanting to say hi & Gob Bless to you and Mama Sue , & the great Dog so cool. Thank you for the time outdoors . Fishing is great there's nothing like it ,WooooooooooooooWeee.♥ Been watching you for years . I'll never stop consider you a best friend
I love your videos. So simple and very informative and you know your fishing-no doubt. I’ve been trying to catch sauger for years and for whatever reason I can’t figure it out. I hope one day I get one. My dream is to one day be able to fish with you! My favorite TH-camr. God bless you and your family Richard! Woooooo!!!!
I use this exact rig, on Ohio river dams in winter. Usually hammer them. There's a minnow bait, called a shimmer shad, that works great also, lil cheaper than z man. Sometimes this rig out produces a live minnow. So glad u covered this, fishing machine Gene!!!!
Ya know, all you need to know about a person is the way they treat animals that are smaller than they are. You’re a good man Mr. Fishing Machine. Thanks for the walleye tips. They are very difficult to find and catch in Missouri. I’ll have to try this with my fishing buddy. Wooo!
I want to let you know that my granddaughter an I really enjoy your videos an look forward to them coming out its turned into a thing I was having a hard time getting her interested until your carp video awhile back so we used your advice made some bait an went to a local lake an ended up having so much fun we was using light tackle an every carp was a little over five to ten pounds that one video an single trip has started a fire in her that everyone loves to see in kiddos an I can thank you for that an appreciate all the work you put into making them so thank you from central oklahoma
Got no give up In me wasn’t made that way love you vedios man very informative you are they man. Keep the veds coming I watch them al and a lot of the more than once God be with ya buddy
I went fishing on Lewis Smith Lake a few nights ago, and it was colder than a witch's (really cold thing)! We fished from about 6:30- 8:30pm, and it wasn't long before I thought I was 'unlearning' how to cast a lure... I put down the bait-casting reel and picked up a rod with a spinning reel. Everything was fine for about 6 or so casts, then I started having problems casting that rod, too. It finally dawned on us that the line was freezing to the eyelets on the rod! NOW you know why we only fished until 8:30... Keep doing what you love! God bless ALL of us! W W G 1 W G A
Hey Richard, I saugeye fish Indian Lake in Russell's point Ohio. We use a lot of what we call " Blade Baits " have you ever tried the Walley Nation Creation Blade Baits, I ended up catching multiple of my Personal Best this fall on the Purple Tiger color. I caught 6 Saugeye over 24 inches, 1 25 inch, and a 26 1/2. Best season ever for me!
Wanting to do some Sauger fishing myself here in Western Ky but we just got 4” rain so looks like won’t be anytime soon. You are right Richard the Loopknot is key. It makes big difference in action! One my favorites knots. Sauger, crappie etc
My favorite way to fish for sauger is in your boat, which hasn’t happened but these videos are close enough 😂😂👍🏼 Also, linker city makes a fluke very similar to the zoom mini fluke.
Yo I’m a big fan I always see you going with your boat when I’m fishing at the rocks and you are that boat yoooo I did not know that you were him bro you are a OG BROTHER
such a gentleman, i’ll say it for you, it’s what separates the men from the boys!!!! 🎉 by the way i fish with UL rods and use 4-6 lb test mono 25-35 ft deep with 1/16 jighead no problemo! you taught me not to horse fish, so i take my time bringing them up, and they stay alive without the baro trauma! i see people yank them up so fast from deep, their eyes bulge and die😢 i’m C&R only because i hate cleaning fish hehe
Richard, I want to say thank you and remind you I'm going fishing with you _every time you ask me to go._ Keep warm and lets us know how deep the snow was at your house. I saw way down there by Mobile they got about 5-6 inches. Can you imagine. I saw the videos from Pensacola, too. I heard Vergil slipped and fell on the ice and had to walk into church with the seat of his pants wet. People talked, too. Ain't it great to be an American?
Hi Richard! I love your channel although I rarely comment, but I've learned a lot from your videos. I don't think you are very far from me, but would love to have the opportunity to fish with you one day. I'm sure I'd learn a great deal. Take care and keep the videos coming, my friend.
I'd be willing to try this but, honestly, I've never found anything better for walleye than live minnows on a dropshot rig, right near the side vents of the dam. At my local dam, I can limit out in about an hour with that method.
Bots in the comments: Your videos are true works of art, beauty and wisdom. I'm always moved by the emotion and meaningful messages... Richard Gene: If a fish poots on this here braid line, you can feel it.
I believe you may have new fishing buddy 😂. Great video RG. I have started trimming collars off my jigheads and wrapping some some thread with super glue. Action and balance is 100% better especially with loop knot. That tiny fluke is a cheap fish catcher! Thanks Richard.
If not for this man I would not have pursued my own channel. a true wonder/ inspiration for fishermen. definitely in the top 3 youtubers I would love to meet one day!
I love the dog in the video. He probably needs a little bit of love from everybody also. His wagging tail is great. He looks like a great fishing buddy. 😊
Hey RGTFM - when you're fishing that tiny flute hardwired to the braids, did you also fish a loop knot.? If so, what loop knot did you use with the braid.?
Here in Ohio we have saugeye and in the winter we bank fish the damn at night. Catch, bleed them out and eat them that same night. Best fish you’ll ever eat!!!!!
I dont understand fishing in these areas. What do i need to know? When do i het out the way? How powerful of a boat do i need? My closest dam is old hickory/Cumberland River.
I'm convinced you're one of the greatest fisherman ever televised.
You have a true friend right there with your dog. There's nothing that compares to the friendship of a dog. They will love you forever, no matter what.
happy u are still getting out there on the water during this cold winter, take care

Dang Richard your dog and mine are twins. What a loving cutie.
Fishing on Holmes Beach today on Anna Maria Island. Catching trout and whiting. Wish you were here to show me how to slay em.
Love this guy!
Thanks Richard for letting us go along 😄
That dog loves you. I get the same looks from my dog Buddy.
You can tell a man has a good heart by the way he treats his pets.

Awesome day out fishing
I'd be willing to try this but, honestly, I've never found anything better for walleye than live minnows on a dropshot rig, right near the side vents of the dam.
At my local dam, I can limit out in about an hour with that method.
Great video. You got a good friend there. He likes to be on camera.
Wishing I was there with you my friend.
Don't worry Richard, I struggle to speak all the time 😂 Especially with the right chill.
God Bless you Mr Gene

Another great video Richard, but when you gonna take that dog fishing with you?
Me suscribí apoyo full para tu canal de pesca 🎉🎉🎉
That was a doggone. Good video there. Richard! 🐕
🙏✝️
Caught one on a rooster tail the first week of April back in '92. First thought I got hung up till I yanked it. Sucker was 19". Qtr.oz .
Lord...may I one day find this much happiness.
I love the dog in the video. He probably needs a little bit of love from everybody also. His wagging tail is great. He looks like a great fishing buddy. 😊
I use a very similar Berkley Power Minnow on either a 1/16 or 1/8 oz. jig head for walleye. For me there is no better bait in current.
Love your fishin buddy.🐶🐶🐶🌈🌈🌈
Love ya rich 🙏🙏
Hey Richard, what size boat is that that you are fishing out of?
Hey RGTFM - when you're fishing that tiny flute hardwired to the braids, did you also fish a loop knot.? If so, what loop knot did you use with the braid.?
Be safe and put your vest on
Richard do you ever do any trout fishing??
How cold is that river water buddy? Great video Brother, we are the same age.
Calm down Gene your going to scare all the fish off with all that excitement 😆
Richard, I'm sure you've already told us this but why do you pretty much always use a jig head rig? Thank you sir!
So lucky with that sweet dog 😅!!!

Pleasant Hills pretty good @@stevefisher2121
Woooooo
Sauger are the best eating fish.
Do you ever fish for yellow perch?
Don't have them where he lives. The southern range for yellow perch is in virginia (I think )
He has caught them before, but they are very rare on the Tennessee River.
I dont understand fishing in these areas. What do i need to know? When do i het out the way? How powerful of a boat do i need? My closest dam is old hickory/Cumberland River.
When you hear a loud alarm , get the heck outta there.
U don't encounter barges in the locks?
That’s a good looking dog
How do you identify a Saugeye?
I’ve read that the dorsal fin spots look different and like scales on the cheek are different but honestly I’ve never caught a walleye or saugeye
