They’ve said that there’s a thousand hours of footage of each special and they edit it all down to 1 or 2 hours. I’d rather watch all 1000 hours cause they said there’s just a lot of rambling in it
As much as they give each other guff they are still friends. However that doesn’t quite sell as well as the petty bickering and bumbling we all know and love
Honestly each of them are fundamental parts for this serie. - Richard Hammond, to keep the conversation going (and always being enthusiastic). - Jeremy Clarkson, to heat things up with controversial points. - James May, to lower the pace and make the show more relaxed.
Yeah it just wouldn't be the same without any one of them and they're smart enough to recognise the value of that. I believe that's why May and Hammond never even considered staying at the BBC when Jeremy got fired.
Who else loves hearing may speak, even if he is "boring" He is hilarious and intriguing even if deliberately pretentious. He's a great and original act.
Thank you three and the behind the scene personnel for the multiple hours of pain and suffering just to entertain the world, we really appreciate your commitment and hard work.

We need more of these and why don't you put all these in a show...it can be 5 hours we don't mind....make it more then an hour...i mean we have to wait for months for 1 hour
Remember how they did that episode with no scripting, as a response to those people saying they shouldn't have a script? Well how about giving us the 1000-hour extended version to "prove" to us all how boring all that cut footage supposedly is...
these guys are genuine buddies and chemistry shows on screen too. imagine what they do during vacations away from camera, probably the best group to hang out with

@@Hardts I could understand if "of" and "have" were as close in sound and spelling as "then" and "than" but they are not - not even close. They don't even serve the same grammatical purpose. My guess is related to what you said about it being based on spoken sound where the contraction of "should have" to "should've" and "could have" to "could've" can sound like "could of" and "should of" but I still don't see that as an excuse. I suppose I should be grateful an attempt was made at proper English and not just some shorthand text gibberish.

For almost a century elderly people have been talking about their "dicky knees" when they have arthritis and their knee joint is playing up, it's very much a PG-7 expression.
What will be harder to explain in the future to our children won't be covid of 2020 it will be how amazing these three were together and how it can't ever be replicated , they are going to be shown like old black and whites for decades to come , glad I was growing up with them on the TV alongside heartbeat !

If you have grand tour on amazon why wouldnt they make this an episode aswell. all the bloopers and out takes its amazing. the banter, the fun, the chemistry this and the old top gear is the best thing thats been on TV in the last 20 years hands down
