what about those dreams when you arent fully asleep and in ur dream you are falling and right before you hit the ground you wake up and shake? how do those work?
I remember having one of those when I was in the hospital when I first moved to America. I was going to have surgery in my hip bone since it was misplaced. Anything before that time, and a little after that time I forgot. Everything. All 2 years ( almost 3) of my life gone, but I still remember that falling thing. Odd
I hope I'm still alive for the day they invent machines that can record your dreams xD like look into your head and record what your dreaming clearly :D

It happened to me several times actually, once I even dreamed the same dream two nights in a row! Sometimes the same dreams comeback to me in a while, wether it be a year, or more.
Once, I had a dream a Witch stole my best friend. I woke up, then fell back asleep. I saw a giant eye and the same dream picked up from where it left off. I looked around and said *ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!* that 5 second second dream lasted 3 hours in real life, btw.
I remember i would try not to pee in my bed. so i would quikly get up and go pee in the.but little did i know it was just my dream making me think i got up to pee.when in reality i was still in bed-.-

Teenage me would have liked this for nights where I had "wet dreams". lol There's also times where I dream of waking up, which really screws up my mind when I actually wake up.

I had a dream once that I was in Texas and suddenly there was a zombie apocalypse. I started out by running to a bar, jumping behind it, splashing zombies with liquor and catching them on fire. It got too cramped in there so I ran out the back, and saw a mexican baseball team armed with chainsaws. Being fluent in Spanish irl, I spoke to them in Spanish and told them I was human, so they handed me a chainsaw, and we had an epic chainsaw battle against the raging zombie hordes. Anyone got an idea what that's all about? haha I've had that dream twice and can recall it easily.
Who knows maybe I can sell the dream as a plot for a SciFi action movie to a low budget director for a cut of the profits, Lord knows I could use the money.
I once had a dream where I was in like an exact replica of my IRL house, only it was underwater. I was outside in my backyard, then an army of mirmaids came over the hedge and chased me, next to my garage was a chaingun, i shot them with that, but it ran out of ammo. So I ran inside and barricaded the door with a fireaxe. Then they where breaking in so I ran down the hall. Down in the room at the end of the hall, i hid. Then i got attacked by a bunch of bauble head scientists...then, i realized it was a lucid dream, so I though, wait, I had one of theses before, I woke up by thinking of a letter or number. So I though of the letter "z". Then I instantly woke up. Oh and I also had a dream where I was in school and all the teachers where aliens. I ran up to a techer i though was not an alien, but she turned out to be an alien. She gave me detention.
As a kid I used write alot of my dreams down in a jorunal when I woke up so now as an adult I still remember a lot of those dreams I had because I kept the journal i used.
Same. I’ve also had many reoccurring dreams from childhood too. One in particular , a dream where driving was life and death, it was an emergency and no one else would be able to drive, since I was a kid think 5yrs old and up. Driving wasn’t all that important but at least once a year I would have the dream that someone I cared about was dying and I was the only one there so I would have to drive even though I was a kid and every time I would crash. Eventually it became more spaced out maybe once every 2/3 yrs I would have the dream and it literally is the other day I realized that since I’ve actually learned to drive as an adult I haven’t had the dream. I always thought that was funny. Maybe that dream had been preparing me for some event where I will need to save someone’s life and it would be imperative that I know how to drive. Seems legit, if any such event does happen I’ll come back and post about it. 👍🏼
i remember almost all of my dreams. i even remember one from when i was 4. i like to call it "the n bed" i was in this dog bed with lime flooring and a black lowercase n in the middle of the lime. the tv was on and it had a black lowercase n on it with a lime background just like the bottom of the inside of the dog bed. i got out of it and every 5 seconds or so, i get teleported back to the bed. i eventually got to my parents room and the dream ended. there was also "alphabet wipeout". me and a bunch of other kids were in this obstacle course/bouncy house and the tv was displaying a letter of the alphabet (lowercase of course) on a something coloured background. these two next ones were in a dream mashup of 5 dreams. (i only remember these two) the first one had something to do with the koala brothers. all i remember of the second one is that the tv was displaying netflix and there being a countdown to the dream ending with bing in the top right corner. my most recent dream (i had it today) i like to call the evil thing. an evil thing (i dont remember what it was) climbed out of what i can remember to probably be a hot air baloon and i and a bunch of other people had to run indoors. we went through some sort of tunnel and into some sort of lab whitch led into a metal corridor. we hid in there for a while and for some reason i went outside then back inside again. the next dream i remember running up the hill (my houses driveway is a steep concrete hill) and the driveway got steeper and steeper until i rolled down the hill. the next one i like to call PQ (Person Quest) me and five other people one with a flourescent red raincoat-jacket hybrid stayed indoors chilling out and outside it was a winter wonderland. for no apparent reason, the one with the flourescent red jacket-rain coat thing left at some point. near the end, we had to climb a tall tower (probably because i watched jacksepticeyes entire playthrough of clustertruck) then the dream ended. the next one i like to call p/her i was just chilling at school when suddenly mr e ( my grade 3 teacher) was chilling near the giant tree (my chool is 130 years old and the tree was presumably planted when it was made) and he handed me a stack of three post it notes the one on the top blue. eventually it led to a thing i remember a girl with a tutu on a pink bacground with blue text saying p or her. then it led to a slideshow of the alphabet witch i only remember z. the z was yellow and uppercase and the background was a lavenderish purple. this one is probably the earliest of dreams that i can remember. i was standing behind a recycling bin presumably, and my view was the leapfrog 2s home screen and dirtgirl was there. she then kicked me into the bin i was standing behind. the dream ends there. all i can remember of this dream is the leapfrog 2s home screen. the bacground was either pink or a picture of lilys. this one is just daddy pig rolling down a hill on a tricycle. i was in this looping slideshow of colors. i managed to snap out of the loop and stop the thing somehow broadcasting it to my brain. thats all i can remember (for now) Edit: i just realized how many nightmares i havent covered. so its dreams round two; NIGHTMARISH BOOGALOO most of these dreams are about these black blobs with googly eyes that come out of the tv in the dark. they are about two times as tall as me (im 1.25m) this oe is where me and my mum were chilling together and the blob comes out of the tv and we go to this room full of bookshelves to hide. (my irl house doesnt have this). this next one i like to call the demonic triangle. the tv was on. it was a black triangle on a green background. eventually, the triangle flew out of the tv. and instead of dying in these dreams, the dream ends right as the killer gets quite close to me. sorry for the small amount of dreams, but thats all i can remember (this edit was made a few minutes after the first bit of dreams was made.)
I put my dreams in my notes and everytime I read it... I remember my dreams.. And some from my childhood I remember and will always (before I even wrote dreams down)
I still remember the one where my family and I were in a flying canoe hundreds of metres in the air, and my parents were paddling it along as if through water.

I may sound weird but whenever I have a perfect beautiful dream and still freshly remember them, I type it down. Sometimes I'm still half asleep and even get some of the words misspelled XD
I just can't stay asleep once I realize I am dreaming... I always wake up now just after becoming conscious!! However, I have been having better luck with Lucid Dreaming while in that first hypnogogic state that involves dreaming, right when you very very first slip from one to the other. I kinda have to maintain my conscious mind while slipping into the initial dream state and carry it over into the DreamScape....it's tricky
Omg please don't tell me that I'm the only one, every time I have a dream that I'm in school I'm either top less or I don't have anything on from the waist down but know one seems to care or notice.. it's weird because there's not one dream that I'm in school with a full set of clothes. Also every time I have these dreams I always feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed😂😩 I asked all my friends and neither of them have had these types of dreams.
If my dreams were recorded they'd be gruesome. I don't know why I get killed in so many of my dreams. And everytime I die it just looks like somebody was looking through a camera and dropped it on the ground. And it just sits there till I wake.

Shaquille Sunflower Every time I play a video game or watch a movie and something painful happens to a character, I always have a dream about it happening to me. For example, in the game Life Is Strange the main charactee Max gets drugged and kidnapped and almost killed, that same day I had a dream that I was in my room and I feel the worst sting in my neck, pass out, and suddently in tapped to a ground with a gray figure taking a picture of me. I get another sting in my neck and everything goes black, then a bright white, then suddenly I wake up.

Once i had a dream where my mom got ran over by a car. Then right when i yelled "MOM!!!!!!!11" i woke up. After i woke up i cried for a little before minding my own business and doing the stuff i was supposed to do.

Sometimes I have these dreams where I see something that actually happens and once it actually happens I remember dreaming about it. In 6th grade I had this dream where I was sitting in a History class doing a group project but I couldn't remember the people I saw of course. It happened sure enough but in the dream I realized that it didn't show things that were relevant like what high school I was going to and the friends I would make. I guess what I'm asking is how is it that your brain can literally predict small things without it not even happening yet... It's like "Someone" or "Something is trying to tell you something
TilerP ikr! One time I dreamt the next classroom (beside mine) was locked and there was a bomb inside, and the next morning I arrived at school my friends told me the other classroom was locked even tho ours and others were not. Glad there wasn't a bomb tho 😁
What I'm about to write might not be related that much to dreaming, but it's an interesting event in my opinion. Have you ever constructed your own dream while being fully awake? What I mean is you think of a scenario/situation and then live out that scenario/situation. I do this quite a lot when I'm about to go to sleep and I always use music at the same time to enhance the effect. Oddly enough my constructed dream scenarios are almost always going in a direction were violance and "power" are dominant. It's fun to construct these dream scenarios since they can contain pretty much whatever you want. I usually choose a location that I find to be appropriate and then I construct the dream scenario from there. Try it out yourself :)

+DZK312 If a person was born blind then they would only dream sound and smells and maybe flashes of light! If the person became blind, then they would still dream normal dreams, but would be stuck in a time warp.
DZK312 I asked my blind grandmother. She has been blind since 1998, so if she dreams of a car then it would not be a modern car she dreams of, but of cars from the 90's because she has never seen a new car!
Has anyone else ever had a dream that actually happens a few weeks or months later?? This happened to me a few times already but more often when I was younger. Maybe it happened even more often but I just couldn't remember the dream or didn't connect the dots when it was actually happening to me. Sometimes I'm afraid of my nightmares because I think it might actually come true. One time I dreamed that I was a hostage at a supermarket I go to often with my mom and then I got killed there! So for the first few weeks after the dream I was pretty paranoid when we went there. But so far none of my nightmares have come true, only the dreams thankfully :) I actually met one of my teachers in a dream before school started and I never saw her before since she was my homeroom teacher during my 1st year of junior high and I had the dream while I was in elementary so I had never been to the school before! :) I still don't know why it happens? Anyone else experience this???
I had a dream that my outdoor dog was in my room. He licked my face and left me with an ominous feeling. I woke up the next morning and he had died in his sleep
I once had a freaky dream that I still remember, after like 10 years. It started with me casually waking up and going outside. But then, the sky got dark and some objects turned monochrome. My teacher was waiting for me, and forced me to do some strange puzzles, that I don't remember as much. She said that the world would end if I failed. I did fail though. In the end, a Cthulu-like creature appeared, and shot me in the chest a couple of times. The last thing I saw before waking up was a shot of the Earth exploding. I literally jumped out of my bed. Oddly enough, I still felt a strong pain in my chest area.
Hina Face That was probably because you were sleeping in such a position that it was hurting your chest or something. Your dreams can be affected by the sensations you feel while sleeping. In your case, something was actually causing your chest to hurt and your brain incorporated that into your dream. I know this because one time, I was half asleep and I could tell that the voices from the TV were being incorporated into my dream.
I had a dream that I was at school on the front roof and buses were coming and one crashed into a pillar (which was holding the roof). Then i fell on the floor on my back and when i woke up. My back still hurt a bit
My therapist said that the reason we dream is so we can release stress. Like when you dream of something that makes you angry or sad or scared or anything, you end up releasing all of your emotions and stress that is going on from your worries or about yourself. When we are awake, I realised we never actually show every emotion that we are feeling and won't do things that we want to do or feel like doing and everything is just cooped up in there until l you dream and it releases all of the energy. I guess that is also why we cry in our sleep. One thing that I realised is our behavior in our dream where we don't have that much control but also do whatever that we are feeling and just let everything out is similar to when you are drunk. When you are drunk, you let everything out and alot of your emotions goes all over the place and you show what you are feeling and releasing stress but have little control of it. I always thought that dreaming is your brain goin on auto pilot so it just does what ever you want based on what is in your mind without even thinking of doing it or even wanting to think of it. It just does whatever
This is awesome! Theoretically, since thinking creates brain waves, mind reading is then possible, you just need a device to detect and then interpret those waves!
It seems so. The downside here though is that it looks like you need a profile for every single individual... Which means you can only really read the minds of people who you've spent hours doing preparations with first. (Of course, it's entirely plausible, if you were that way inclined, that you might be able to do such preparations by force, but still...)
Oh I'm talking once we learn to interpret brainwaves better, we may at some point be able to isolate brainwaves and interpret them. We are still in primitive stages when it comes to understanding the brain after all :)
arkine11 Oh, perhaps. Kind of depends though. There's no saying at this point how much common ground there is between the brainwaves of two people. A generic method that would work for everyone (or even most people) relies on the the same concepts being encoded the same way in everyone's brains... Otherwise, it'd all go horribly wrong. And given how brains appear to work, there's no actual reason to suspect there is that much common ground. But, as we don't know yet, it's all kind of speculation.
I had one where my immediate family sat on the sidewalk near my old house watching a tornado that was on the street. The house was still there and was on a lower elevation than the street.
i write my dreams down with extreme detail and still remember many of them from as far back as 24 years ago. (most of my life) ive always wanted a way to clearly record dreams ive also heard the brain never forgets but the path to remember those memories are forgotten so im also hoping to rip any dream ive had over my life time even the ones i cant remember. if this was possible i would defiantly upload them here :P cause my dreams are insane and cool most of the time. one day i guess... hopefully before im dead XD
Imagine in the future a website like TH-cam but instead of videos made by the community it’s feature length films thought up by people and they get likes based on how good the movie was. No more cgi etc, just a “screen-cap”of the brainwaves converted into picture. Or imagine the creative filmmakers like Spielberg or Lucas simply thinking their ideas and having them come out just as they envisioned.
The weirdest dream that I've ever had was I met a young beautiful queen who was a belly dancer in a far away land... This is the interesting part. I'm sitting right next to where she's sleeping because she asked me. In the room, me and alot of "high-born" people are watching the queen. In the dream the queen had this bed at the centre of the room and had some sort of head gear on her that showed us what she was dreaming about and we were like an audience watching a movie. There are some native speakers at my school right now (I'm in austria,we speak german and these native speakers only speak english,so we have to speak english as well,which is easy for me) we've got a school project right now in which we have to invent something new to solve a problem. Its like dragons den,we are paired in groups and make our idea into a presentation. Our group's name is "genesis" Our logo is "GN 0x1" with 2 arrows around it. GN stands for "genesis dreams" One member of our group actually had the idea of a toiletpaper owl,and owl that can bring you toilet paper when you dont have any.but then she had another idea about night vision glasses and night vision contact lenses. I had the idea of a device recording your dreams,so we just kinda combined our ideas and made the dreamers,or dreamcatchers as I like to call them.those are basically goggles (look kinda like swimglasses) with nubs/suckers placed inside the bands that hold them. These nubs are scensors,they pretty much analyse your dreams and records them.the goggles run with bluetooth,so you can connect your phone,pc,tv or whatever with it and watch your dream either on screen or infront of you from the goggle glasses,the goggle glasses cannot only play your dream,but its also a nightvision device. I've made 18 dream catcher goggle designs on mspaint. We've got: Night blue,ultra violet,purple,barbie pink,lightning pink,blood red,pastel red,pastel orange,pastel yellow,slime green,bright teal,neon aquamarine,jet black,lavender grey,white,gold/steampunk,silver and galaxy with pink arrangements. We want 5 million € from the dragons because its obviously a very difficult product to make (this is all just a school game/project of course)

Hmm... if that device was guessing that the people were seeing imagery similar to the blurry video from 3:05 to 3:17 in their dreams, then I can say that that's not at all how my dreams look. My dreams are clear as day, but my personal perception and consciousness (if you can even call it that) are different from how I experience it awake.
That's not what was going on. The participants were being showed a movie, clips of which are on the left. A device was attached to their heads while the movie was playing. The device had an enormous library of TH-cam videos. By analyzing the brain functions, it was able to create the images on the right, estimating what they were seeing and then compiling TH-cam videos to make a good match. Essentially the computer was reading their minds, and using TH-cam clips to make the best approximation that it could on what the person was seeing. The blurriness is due to having to mix many different clips together to get an acceptable estimate of the thoughts.
*I swear my dreams can predict the future. One time I dreamed about something falling on my head and I wake up and five seconds later my curtain rods fall down right on my bed. If I didn’t wake up I would’ve been bunked on the head. So odd.*
How interesting. If I fall asleep watching a movie (not all times) my dream is usually based some where around that movie or something like that. Or whatever I fall asleep thinking about, yeah my dream pretty much evolves around my last thoughts. But not always, some dreams I have I be like wth! I have alot of repeated dreams over & over that goes back from when I was growing up (the neighborhoods I grew up in like certain stores I shopped or streets I use bicycle down) dreaming is fun...lol

Great video guys, just gotta say this; Has anyone else noticed how Americans pronounce 'Similarly'? ( at 1:06 ) It's not just you guys, don't worry :) It's every American educator on TH-cam (and i assume most Americans). I'm not trying to troll anyone I'm just saying you guys do pronounce it kinda funnily. There's no problems with the word 'Similar', but when you guys add the '-ly' it gets weird. If you'd say Similar was pronounced Sim-il-larr, the way you guys pronounce it is 'Sim-il-lair-ly'. If people start getting raged about this comment you've clearly misinterpreted me, I just think its interesting
Ouch. He said "Sim-ih-lair-uh-ly" in this video and I cringed. (An extra syllable...wat?) I'd say everyone in my peer group says it properly. Just as in "Quick, Quickly". Similar, similarly. No extra syllable, no vowel change or "extended" sound.
Tbh be ping able to record your dreams would be really cool but scary! It would be like a movie night, but it was made from your own mind! Like your own movie that you didn't have to put in any work in it and it's FREE to watch!! It would be terrifying of you decided to watch your dream and it was a nightmare tho XD

BoojAuggy Doods wrong, you actually dream for about 30-90 minutes at least 3 times a night. you literally create a trilogy every time you go to sleep. most of it just doesn't make it to your conscious, so you can't remember any of it
I had a dream once that there was this Hunger Games knock-off called the CVS games in CVS and it was held by Manager Snow. Apparently there was no age limit however because this grown man hacked me with a saw and so I got really scared. I got a knife out of the Clearance-copia and used it to break out of the door, which was locked. Then I ran home and cried because I knew that Manager Snow would find me and kill me for chickening out during his games. Probably my favorite dream I’ve ever had was one where I watched the Empire Strikes Back with Asriel. It had me in a warm and happy mood for the rest of the week. And let’s not forget the star of the show, the dream in which I was at Hogwarts getting sorted into a house and then some wooden forks and spoons with faces, stick arms and stick legs came in and sang about what house they were going to be in. I still vividly remember this one spoon’s solo: “I think I’m gonna be, a Gryffindoooooor!” It gives me weird feelings to this day.

You heard the cat meow because you have obviously seen a cat meow before so you know what a meow sounds like. You also know what the cat looks like.. I dont know the answer but thats my theory
Hazel Goh That I am not sure about. I dont think that is scientifically proven on what it is yet. All I know that its your voice in your head. Its kind of like a friend that follows you everywhere And a friend that can keep secrets.. Maybe its our own body speaking to us. I THINK its our inner voice.
EveTheCoolest I don't think so....We get so used to speak (since we are doing it most of the time) that our we just communicate to ourselves. Does that voice speak in 3rd or 1st person? if It's 3rd, you might want that checked out.
I have many death dreams, which involve happy situations that later lead to death (such as falling from high playground), deadly situation dreams (such as going down extremely steep stairs), or long adventure ones (such as climbing steep grass and falling off). In a couple of dreams I managed to know it's a dream and successfully wake up from it.
I once had a dream where I was in heaven. I was on clouds, and there was a huge shelf with many things. However, due to nature of dreams, that was it, and I didn't even think of doing much there.
I once had a dream, where the objective was to bring red, green and white gloves to the goal. I liked yellow color so I chose yellow instead of white but the route contained my house's balcony and when I went there my mom was outside and screamed angrily "YELLOW!! YELLOW!!!! YELLOW!! YELLOW!!!! YELLOW!! YELLOW!!!!" and I was really scared. The dream ended.
One time, I was having a back to school dream when I figured out I was dreaming. I trolled my teachers, became a pirate, fought a knight and kidnapped his princess. If only reality could be this perfect
reincarnation most likely doesnt exist, since when you die, everything that makes you you dies. if there was something like a soul or spirit, that would help explain a lot, but so far there is no evidence of something like that existing and instead its been shown that all our thoughts are from a physical brain, which dies when we do. however think of this, the world existed before you were born, rocks life and all, but try remembering before you were born and no luck, same with trying to remember after you die. maybe its like waking from a dream you cant remember after death as something else. just my personal opinion though.
i think and have read about the consciousness of humans being able to dissipate from the body upon death traveling out of this reality into the one its meant to be in whether thats a different universal plane or dimension you cant quite speculate without proof
I had a dream that I met a gray kangaroo with a scruffy beard and spiky fur on top of his head. He was such a free spirit, very joyful too, he didn't have even a shred of pouch-envy, we became friends and sang songs. Now I really like kangaroos.
The thing about dreams, though, it's they aren't just visual. They are full of ideas that cannot be expressed with imagery. Even if a dream could be visually captured, the dreamer would need to explain what they were seeing and what was going on.
x nought I could do that, but guess what, I dont mind ads when they are not presented in an overly annoying and intrusive way. Bruh I'm so mad I had a bomb af dream!!! I'm leaving my dream below if you are interested 😜 * * * I was on vacation during the week due to the fact that I only work the weekends. I went to beach with family and friends and afterward we bit this movie theater on New York. We went inside to and chose a movie of our choice. While previews were showing the thief rammed my car through the theater and my family and friends were on the very lowest section.It literally almost hit me its like imagining you are in a small room and it went in one direction rather than the other. I was scared for my life but I knew it was my car with all the stickers. I got up and so as my mom for some reason she went about fixing the hole in the movie theater. My friends were still watching so I was alone in finding the crook. I ran outside to find the thief and I saw him in the distance. The problem was is that I parked at the side of the theater that doesn't have alot of attention. I saw him attempting to get my car to turn back on and when I was running in my dream it was slightly slower. I almost caught up to him but he drives away. (I do have a tile in my Jeep tho now that I think of it) I stayed a while if the thief would come back to steal another vehicle by chance. I had already called the cops but the wait time was gonna be a while. I went from car to car at least the ones that seemed suspicious and didn't find a soul but I then attempted opening a car that wasn't mines but seemed like mines and the cops arrived they yelled at me and told me to keep my hands up. I couldn't believe this was happening... I was being accused of stealing my own car. I was taken to the city jail and had no way out if I didn't have evidence to support that the vehicle was mines. I did have the idea of getting video evidence from the theater showing the thief steal my car and I was only trying to find the crook. I contacted them and they said it would take a few days to retrieve it. This led me to going to jail due to lack of evidence or being guilty. I turned in my phone and keys. (I guess the thief hotwired) I was in jail ofc and I was trying to get out before I especially had to go to work. I was one day away after being there for 3 days or so waiting for the video evidence to come in. I received it from my mom and had a copy made for the man that was going to deliver the evidence for me I'm assuming this was like the warden. He said he supposedly sent it out and him being buff and trying to be assuring over and over made it seem like he didn't send it . My suspicion grew and I decided to send it myself or get someone else to. I walked off with the evidence I had to try to find someone who would do so. I heard footsteps behind me and I knew for sure it was the man that was acting suspicious. I tried to act like I wasn't on to him but he started nudging me and stopped me and walked me to a group of the wrongfully accused. I passed down the note to someone in the medical Ward. I couldn't believe this was happening this group of wrongfully of accused had similar situations like mines. We all used the restroom before we were gonna be sent to to a top of the line prison but it got rescheduled for the next day so we were sent to a freight train to spend the night and they would lock them up before nightfall. I met a close friend I know irl and he was in there for drug trafficking that was a big eye opener and I didn't like the fact I saw him in there. We were buds since elementary school so we were always jokesters I caught up with him and joked about what if we got this part of the freight train to move. We laughed it off and begun jumping up and down acting like if were not gonna move. It actually slowly started to squeal it definitely needed some form of lube in the wheels but we gained some speed. The other half of the freight train was very close by and we were scared we were about impact the other half of the freight train and we for sure were gonna get injured so we leaned left and right and attempted to make it by this half of the freight train and it actually worked. Unbelievably it worked we were actually leaving the prison we knew we would be wanted but would have my evidence and my friend well I don't know but we were free. We had lots of speed at this point and were hitting turns way to fast on the tracks so I advised we still lean while at high speeds. We were on the track for a while and surely we weren't gonna have cops on our tail but we're gonna be wanted. We managed to have control by leaning due to it slowing down slightly. We went on the tracks to the city roads we managed to follow all traffic laws somehow we had green lights and didn't damage nothing. Then I finally woke up I don't know how this played out but hopefully it went well I just wish I could've recorded it 😩
sometimes i dont even get a dream, i cant explain how it feels, its like falling asleep, but instead of getting a dream, it feels like being transported further to the future where i open my eyes to see sunlight outside my window and its all darkness until i open my eyes something about darkness aswell is.. when i was age 5, it felt like i was just born, felt like i saw nothing but blackness until i saw my parents walking me out of our kitchen, and thinking about what happened seconds before then makes me feel dizzy and confused, do you get that too? the first memory that i experienced in my life was being walked out of the kitchen, anything before that is just pure blackness
I honestly thought dreams existed so we didn't get bored of / ween out / find ways to ween out regular sleep. If anything it puts us in a vulnerable position to sleep to start with, so if it's not entertaining for our brains to some degree to keep it active during this almost completely motionless, dangerous state there would be more of a reason to just not sleep for long periods of time till we all just crashed. Weakening everything from control of our bodies to our immune systems. Hell for all I know without dreams your brain might spend all it's time worry about noises around you while you sleep if it weren't for dreams turning there focus from the real world for a bit to rest themselves. Maybe also to decrease stress to a degree? Kinda like laying down, and binge watching movies for 8 hours only they make no sense logically, and you tend to forget them because they were only meant to entertain you for that short amount of time, and while your brain has you and itself distracted from the world for a bit it works on repairing everything it can since it has a hard time keeping up in the middle of the day. Idk if that made any sense, but I figured it'd just share my thoughts. ;w;

(Have never wrote this much before) So one time when I was little, I had a dream that there was a dinosaur eating leaves off a tree at my school and then an alarm went off and the dinosaur looked at everybody then I woke up to my alarm going off. And last week the dream continued. The dinosaur then ran away scared and everyone were freaking out that there was a dinosaur still alive. Then we went inside and went to our classrooms and everybody were, quiet and acting like it never happened and I was the only one that was still confused and surprised! Being fluent in Spanish irl, I spoke to them in Spanish and told them I was human, so they handed me a chainsaw, and we had an epic chainsaw battle against the raging zombie hordes.

I once had a dream where I was in like an exact replica of my IRL house, only it was underwater. I was outside in my backyard, then an army of mirmaids came over the hedge and chased me, next to my garage was a chaingun, i shot them with that, but it ran out of ammo. So I ran inside and barricaded the door with a fireaxe. Then they where breaking in so I ran down the hall. Down in the room at the end of the hall, i hid. Then i got attacked by a bunch of bauble head scientists...then, i realized it was a lucid dream, so I though, wait, I had one of theses before, I woke up by thinking of a letter or number. So I though of the letter "z". Then I instantly woke up. Oh and I also had a dream where I was in school and all the teachers where aliens. I ran up to a techer i though was not an alien, but she turned out to be an alien. She gave me detention.

As a kid I used write alot of my dreams down in a jorunal when I woke up so now as an adult I still remember a lot of those dreams I had because I kept the journal i used.
Same. I’ve also had many reoccurring dreams from childhood too. One in particular , a dream where driving was life and death, it was an emergency and no one else would be able to drive, since I was a kid think 5yrs old and up. Driving wasn’t all that important but at least once a year I would have the dream that someone I cared about was dying and I was the only one there so I would have to drive even though I was a kid and every time I would crash. Eventually it became more spaced out maybe once every 2/3 yrs I would have the dream and it literally is the other day I realized that since I’ve actually learned to drive as an adult I haven’t had the dream. I always thought that was funny. Maybe that dream had been preparing me for some event where I will need to save someone’s life and it would be imperative that I know how to drive. Seems legit, if any such event does happen I’ll come back and post about it. 👍🏼
i remember almost all of my dreams. i even remember one from when i was 4. i like to call it "the n bed" i was in this dog bed with lime flooring and a black lowercase n in the middle of the lime. the tv was on and it had a black lowercase n on it with a lime background just like the bottom of the inside of the dog bed. i got out of it and every 5 seconds or so, i get teleported back to the bed. i eventually got to my parents room and the dream ended.
there was also "alphabet wipeout". me and a bunch of other kids were in this obstacle course/bouncy house and the tv was displaying a letter of the alphabet (lowercase of course) on a something coloured background. these two next ones were in a dream mashup of 5 dreams. (i only remember these two) the first one had something to do with the koala brothers.
all i remember of the second one is that the tv was displaying netflix and there being a countdown to the dream ending with bing in the top right corner.
my most recent dream (i had it today) i like to call the evil thing. an evil thing (i dont remember what it was) climbed out of what i can remember to probably be a hot air baloon and i and a bunch of other people had to run indoors. we went through some sort of tunnel and into some sort of lab whitch led into a metal corridor. we hid in there for a while and for some reason i went outside then back inside again. the next dream i remember running up the hill (my houses driveway is a steep concrete hill) and the driveway got steeper and steeper until i rolled down the hill. the next one i like to call PQ (Person Quest) me and five other people one with a flourescent red raincoat-jacket hybrid stayed indoors chilling out and outside it was a winter wonderland. for no apparent reason, the one with the flourescent red jacket-rain coat thing left at some point. near the end, we had to climb a tall tower (probably because i watched jacksepticeyes entire playthrough of clustertruck) then the dream ended. the next one i like to call p/her i was just chilling at school when suddenly mr e ( my grade 3 teacher) was chilling near the giant tree (my chool is 130 years old and the tree was presumably planted when it was made) and he handed me a stack of three post it notes the one on the top blue. eventually it led to a thing i remember a girl with a tutu on a pink bacground with blue text saying p or her. then it led to a slideshow of the alphabet witch i only remember z. the z was yellow and uppercase and the background was a lavenderish purple.
this one is probably the earliest of dreams that i can remember. i was standing behind a recycling bin presumably, and my view was the leapfrog 2s home screen and dirtgirl was there. she then kicked me into the bin i was standing behind. the dream ends there.
all i can remember of this dream is the leapfrog 2s home screen. the bacground was either pink or a picture of lilys.
this one is just daddy pig rolling down a hill on a tricycle.

the tv was on. it was a black triangle on a green background. eventually, the triangle flew out of the tv. and instead of dying in these dreams, the dream ends right as the killer gets quite close to me.

I just can't stay asleep once I realize I am dreaming... I always wake up now just after becoming conscious!! However, I have been having better luck with Lucid Dreaming while in that first hypnogogic state that involves dreaming, right when you very very first slip from one to the other. I kinda have to maintain my conscious mind while slipping into the initial dream state and carry it over into the DreamScape....it's tricky

Sometimes I have these dreams where I see something that actually happens and once it actually happens I remember dreaming about it. In 6th grade I had this dream where I was sitting in a History class doing a group project but I couldn't remember the people I saw of course. It happened sure enough but in the dream I realized that it didn't show things that were relevant like what high school I was going to and the friends I would make. I guess what I'm asking is how is it that your brain can literally predict small things without it not even happening yet... It's like "Someone" or "Something is trying to tell you something

What I'm about to write might not be related that much to dreaming, but it's an interesting event in my opinion. Have you ever constructed your own dream while being fully awake? What I mean is you think of a scenario/situation and then live out that scenario/situation. I do this quite a lot when I'm about to go to sleep and I always use music at the same time to enhance the effect. Oddly enough my constructed dream scenarios are almost always going in a direction were violance and "power" are dominant. It's fun to construct these dream scenarios since they can contain pretty much whatever you want. I usually choose a location that I find to be appropriate and then I construct the dream scenario from there. Try it out yourself :)

Has anyone else ever had a dream that actually happens a few weeks or months later?? This happened to me a few times already but more often when I was younger. Maybe it happened even more often but I just couldn't remember the dream or didn't connect the dots when it was actually happening to me. Sometimes I'm afraid of my nightmares because I think it might actually come true. One time I dreamed that I was a hostage at a supermarket I go to often with my mom and then I got killed there! So for the first few weeks after the dream I was pretty paranoid when we went there. But so far none of my nightmares have come true, only the dreams thankfully :) I actually met one of my teachers in a dream before school started and I never saw her before since she was my homeroom teacher during my 1st year of junior high and I had the dream while I was in elementary so I had never been to the school before! :) I still don't know why it happens? Anyone else experience this???
Maybe you already lived your life but then they transplanted your brain into new baby and you're living your life over again in a new body.

I once had a freaky dream that I still remember, after like 10 years.
It started with me casually waking up and going outside. But then, the sky got dark and some objects turned monochrome. My teacher was waiting for me, and forced me to do some strange puzzles, that I don't remember as much. She said that the world would end if I failed. I did fail though. In the end, a Cthulu-like creature appeared, and shot me in the chest a couple of times. The last thing I saw before waking up was a shot of the Earth exploding.
I literally jumped out of my bed. Oddly enough, I still felt a strong pain in my chest area.
Hina Face That was probably because you were sleeping in such a position that it was hurting your chest or something. Your dreams can be affected by the sensations you feel while sleeping. In your case, something was actually causing your chest to hurt and your brain incorporated that into your dream. I know this because one time, I was half asleep and I could tell that the voices from the TV were being incorporated into my dream.
I had a dream that I was at school on the front roof and buses were coming and one crashed into a pillar (which was holding the roof). Then i fell on the floor on my back and when i woke up. My back still hurt a bit

My therapist said that the reason we dream is so we can release stress. Like when you dream of something that makes you angry or sad or scared or anything, you end up releasing all of your emotions and stress that is going on from your worries or about yourself. When we are awake, I realised we never actually show every emotion that we are feeling and won't do things that we want to do or feel like doing and everything is just cooped up in there until l you dream and it releases all of the energy. I guess that is also why we cry in our sleep. One thing that I realised is our behavior in our dream where we don't have that much control but also do whatever that we are feeling and just let everything out is similar to when you are drunk. When you are drunk, you let everything out and alot of your emotions goes all over the place and you show what you are feeling and releasing stress but have little control of it. I always thought that dreaming is your brain goin on auto pilot so it just does what ever you want based on what is in your mind without even thinking of doing it or even wanting to think of it. It just does whatever

This is awesome! Theoretically, since thinking creates brain waves, mind reading is then possible, you just need a device to detect and then interpret those waves!
It seems so. The downside here though is that it looks like you need a profile for every single individual...
Which means you can only really read the minds of people who you've spent hours doing preparations with first.
(Of course, it's entirely plausible, if you were that way inclined, that you might be able to do such preparations by force, but still...)
Oh I'm talking once we learn to interpret brainwaves better, we may at some point be able to isolate brainwaves and interpret them. We are still in primitive stages when it comes to understanding the brain after all :)
arkine11 Oh, perhaps. Kind of depends though. There's no saying at this point how much common ground there is between the brainwaves of two people. A generic method that would work for everyone (or even most people) relies on the the same concepts being encoded the same way in everyone's brains... Otherwise, it'd all go horribly wrong. And given how brains appear to work, there's no actual reason to suspect there is that much common ground. But, as we don't know yet, it's all kind of speculation.

i write my dreams down with extreme detail and still remember many of them from as far back as 24 years ago. The weirdest dream that I've ever had was I met a young beautiful queen who was a belly dancer in a far away land...

In the room, me and alot of "high-born" people are watching the queen.
In the dream the queen had this bed at the centre of the room and had some sort of head gear on her that showed us what she was dreaming about and we were like an audience watching a movie.

There are some native speakers at my school right now (I'm in austria,we speak german and these native speakers only speak english,so we have to speak english as well,which is easy for me)
we've got a school project right now in which we have to invent something new to solve a problem.
Its like dragons den,we are paired in groups and make our idea into a presentation.

One member of our group actually had the idea of a toiletpaper owl,and owl that can bring you toilet paper when you dont have any.but then she had another idea about night vision glasses and night vision contact lenses.
I had the idea of a device recording your dreams,so we just kinda combined our ideas and made the dreamers,or dreamcatchers as I like to call them.those are basically goggles (look kinda like swimglasses) with nubs/suckers placed inside the bands that hold them.
These nubs are scensors,they pretty much analyse your dreams and records them.the goggles run with bluetooth,so you can connect your phone,pc,tv or whatever with it and watch your dream either on screen or infront of you from the goggle glasses,the goggle glasses cannot only play your dream,but its also a nightvision device.
I've made 18 dream catcher goggle designs on mspaint.
We've got:
Night blue,ultra violet,purple,barbie pink,lightning pink,blood red,pastel red,pastel orange,pastel yellow,slime green,bright teal,neon aquamarine,jet black,lavender grey,white,gold/steampunk,silver and galaxy with pink arrangements.
We want 5 million € from the dragons because its obviously a very difficult product to make (this is all just a school game/project of course)

Hmm... if that device was guessing that the people were seeing imagery similar to the blurry video from 3:05 to 3:17 in their dreams, then I can say that that's not at all how my dreams look. My dreams are clear as day, but my personal perception and consciousness (if you can even call it that) are different from how I experience it awake.
That's not what was going on. The participants were being showed a movie, clips of which are on the left. A device was attached to their heads while the movie was playing.
The device had an enormous library of TH-cam videos. By analyzing the brain functions, it was able to create the images on the right, estimating what they were seeing and then compiling TH-cam videos to make a good match.
Essentially the computer was reading their minds, and using TH-cam clips to make the best approximation that it could on what the person was seeing. The blurriness is due to having to mix many different clips together to get an acceptable estimate of the thoughts.

How interesting. If I fall asleep watching a movie (not all times) my dream is usually based some where around that movie or something like that. Or whatever I fall asleep thinking about, yeah my dream pretty much evolves around my last thoughts. But not always, some dreams I have I be like wth! I have alot of repeated dreams over & over that goes back from when I was growing up (the neighborhoods I grew up in like certain stores I shopped or streets I use bicycle down) dreaming is fun...lol
They should try the dream mapping with folks who can do lucid dreaming and relay what they intend to dream about ahead of time.

( at 1:06 ) It's not just you guys, don't worry :) It's every American educator on TH-cam (and i assume most Americans). I had a dream once that there was this Hunger Games knock-off called the CVS games in CVS and it was held by Manager Snow. Apparently there was no age limit however because this grown man hacked me with a saw and so I got really scared. I got a knife out of the Clearance-copia and used it to break out of the door, which was locked. Then I ran home and cried because I knew that Manager Snow would find me and kill me for chickening out during his games.
Probably my favorite dream I’ve ever had was one where I watched the Empire Strikes Back with Asriel. It had me in a warm and happy mood for the rest of the week.
And let’s not forget the star of the show, the dream in which I was at Hogwarts getting sorted into a house and then some wooden forks and spoons with faces, stick arms and stick legs came in and sang about what house they were going to be in. I still vividly remember this one spoon’s solo: “I think I’m gonna be, a Gryffindoooooor!” It gives me weird feelings to this day.

EveTheCoolest I don't think so....We get so used to speak (since we are doing it most of the time) that our we just communicate to ourselves. Does that voice speak in 3rd or 1st person? if It's 3rd, you might want that checked out.

I have many death dreams, which involve happy situations that later lead to death (such as falling from high playground), deadly situation dreams (such as going down extremely steep stairs), or long adventure ones (such as climbing steep grass and falling off). In a couple of dreams I managed to know it's a dream and successfully wake up from it.
I once had a dream where I was in heaven. I was on clouds, and there was a huge shelf with many things. However, due to nature of dreams, that was it, and I didn't even think of doing much there.
I once had a dream, where the objective was to bring red, green and white gloves to the goal. I liked yellow color so I chose yellow instead of white but the route contained my house's balcony and when I went there my mom was outside and screamed angrily "YELLOW!! YELLOW!!!! YELLOW!! YELLOW!!!! YELLOW!! YELLOW!!!!" and I was really scared. The dream ended.

reincarnation most likely doesnt exist, since when you die, everything that makes you you dies. if there was something like a soul or spirit, that would help explain a lot, but so far there is no evidence of something like that existing and instead its been shown that all our thoughts are from a physical brain, which dies when we do.
however think of this, the world existed before you were born, rocks life and all, but try remembering before you were born and no luck, same with trying to remember after you die. maybe its like waking from a dream you cant remember after death as something else. just my personal opinion though.
i think and have read about the consciousness of humans being able to dissipate from the body upon death traveling out of this reality into the one its meant to be in whether thats a different universal plane or dimension you cant quite speculate without proof

The thing about dreams, though, it's they aren't just visual. They are full of ideas that cannot be expressed with imagery. Even if a dream could be visually captured, the dreamer would need to explain what they were seeing and what was going on.

I was on vacation during the week due to the fact that I only work the weekends. I went to beach with family and friends and afterward we bit this movie theater on New York. We went inside to and chose a movie of our choice. While previews were showing the thief rammed my car through the theater and my family and friends were on the very lowest section.It literally almost hit me its like imagining you are in a small room and it went in one direction rather than the other. I was scared for my life but I knew it was my car with all the stickers. I got up and so as my mom for some reason she went about fixing the hole in the movie theater. My friends were still watching so I was alone in finding the crook. I ran outside to find the thief and I saw him in the distance. The problem was is that I parked at the side of the theater that doesn't have alot of attention. I saw him attempting to get my car to turn back on and when I was running in my dream it was slightly slower. I almost caught up to him but he drives away.
(I do have a tile in my Jeep tho now that I think of it)
I stayed a while if the thief would come back to steal another vehicle by chance. I had already called the cops but the wait time was gonna be a while. I went from car to car at least the ones that seemed suspicious and didn't find a soul but I then attempted opening a car that wasn't mines but seemed like mines and the cops arrived they yelled at me and told me to keep my hands up. I couldn't believe this was happening... I was being accused of stealing my own car. I was taken to the city jail and had no way out if I didn't have evidence to support that the vehicle was mines. I did have the idea of getting video evidence from the theater showing the thief steal my car and I was only trying to find the crook. I contacted them and they said it would take a few days to retrieve it. This led me to going to jail due to lack of evidence or being guilty. I turned in my phone and keys. (I guess the thief hotwired) I was in jail ofc and I was trying to get out before I especially had to go to work. I was one day away after being there for 3 days or so waiting for the video evidence to come in. I received it from my mom and had a copy made for the man that was going to deliver the evidence for me I'm assuming this was like the warden. He said he supposedly sent it out and him being buff and trying to be assuring over and over made it seem like he didn't send it . My suspicion grew and I decided to send it myself or get someone else to. I walked off with the evidence I had to try to find someone who would do so. I heard footsteps behind me and I knew for sure it was the man that was acting suspicious. I tried to act like I wasn't on to him but he started nudging me and stopped me and walked me to a group of the wrongfully accused. I passed down the note to someone in the medical Ward. I couldn't believe this was happening this group of wrongfully of accused had similar situations like mines. We all used the restroom before we were gonna be sent to to a top of the line prison but it got rescheduled for the next day so we were sent to a freight train to spend the night and they would lock them up before nightfall. I met a close friend I know irl and he was in there for drug trafficking that was a big eye opener and I didn't like the fact I saw him in there. We were buds since elementary school so we were always jokesters I caught up with him and joked about what if we got this part of the freight train to move. We laughed it off and begun jumping up and down acting like if were not gonna move. It actually slowly started to squeal it definitely needed some form of lube in the wheels but we gained some speed. The other half of the freight train was very close by and we were scared we were about impact the other half of the freight train and we for sure were gonna get injured so we leaned left and right and attempted to make it by this half of the freight train and it actually worked. Unbelievably it worked we were actually leaving the prison we knew we would be wanted but would have my evidence and my friend well I don't know but we were free. We had lots of speed at this point and were hitting turns way to fast on the tracks so I advised we still lean while at high speeds. We were on the track for a while and surely we weren't gonna have cops on our tail but we're gonna be wanted. We managed to have control by leaning due to it slowing down slightly. We went on the tracks to the city roads we managed to follow all traffic laws somehow we had green lights and didn't damage nothing.
Then I finally woke up I don't know how this played out but hopefully it went well I just wish I could've recorded it 😩
How come I forget most of what happened in a decent dream as soon as I wake up, where as with a bad dream I remember the whole thing😂

something about darkness aswell is.. when i was age 5, it felt like i was just born, felt like i saw nothing but blackness until i saw my parents walking me out of our kitchen, and thinking about what happened seconds before then makes me feel dizzy and confused, do you get that too? the first memory that i experienced in my life was being walked out of the kitchen, anything before that is just pure blackness

I honestly thought dreams existed so we didn't get bored of / ween out / find ways to ween out regular sleep. If anything it puts us in a vulnerable position to sleep to start with, so if it's not entertaining for our brains to some degree to keep it active during this almost completely motionless, dangerous state there would be more of a reason to just not sleep for long periods of time till we all just crashed. Weakening everything from control of our bodies to our immune systems. Hell for all I know without dreams your brain might spend all it's time worry about noises around you while you sleep if it weren't for dreams turning there focus from the real world for a bit to rest themselves. Maybe also to decrease stress to a degree? Kinda like laying down, and binge watching movies for 8 hours only they make no sense logically, and you tend to forget them because they were only meant to entertain you for that short amount of time, and while your brain has you and itself distracted from the world for a bit it works on repairing everything it can since it has a hard time keeping up in the middle of the day.
Idk if that made any sense, but I figured it'd just share my thoughts. ;w;

I read somewhere that we always dream, but sometimes we forget them quicker then others. Feeling like you didn't dream is when you forgot the dream right after you woke up. As you age this happens more often.

It wasnt heaps of fun
(Have never wrote this much before) So one time when I was little, I had a dream that there was a dinosaur eating leaves off a tree at my school and then an alarm went off and the dinosaur looked at everybody then I woke up to my alarm going off. And last week the dream continued. The dinosaur then ran away scared and everyone were freaking out that there was a dinosaur still alive. Then we went inside and went to our classrooms and everybody were, quiet and acting like it never happened and I was the only one that was still confused and surprised! So I’m guessing sometimes your dream stops at a certain point in your life then continues again!
