  • This 2019 Whitetail Rut Forecast can not only help you narrow down when to predict and hunt the annual rut, but how to use the tools of the rut to significantly increase your level of potential success. In 2019, whitetail research biologists agree and most hunters are beginning to realize, that the timing of the rut is the same time every single hunting season. The timing of the rut in your area first depends on if you are able to experience pre rut activity, based on the presence of mature bucks, or not. Once you have successfully forecasted the timing of the 2019 rut for your area, you can then begin to focus on the tools of the rut to explode your rut experience into new heights. This 2019 rut forecast can not only help you take your rut experience to new levels, but it can also make sure to maximize the timing of your rut hunt, to make sure that you are in your favorite treestand or deer blind during the best days to be there. Don't miss out on this seasons 2019 whitetail rut, by making sure that you follow these decades proven rut prediction and hunting methods.

    I what you said pic your days some guys wanna go everyday regardless when some of those should be spent not in a tree stand i had a guy i use to work w get off work 3:30 home by 4 out to woods by 430 dark by 5:20. Those deer are already out moving and he always say never see anything but out there 200 yards well wonder why learn to pic and choose

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is so critical. More time in the woods rarely leads to more mature bucks. You CAN shoot more bucks by sitting on the couch for sure. Smart hunting trumps hunting as much as you can, every single time - great observations! Of course this has more to do with the hunters actually wanting to shoot the best bucks in the neighborhood...and not just the average bucks.

    I will second the ATV thing. My dad always said the ATV will not disturb the deer. We used to have a 160 acre lease, and he would never sit until dark, he always got out of his stand in the golden hour in my opinion. The last year we hunted together, I moved my stand with out him knowing where I was, he knew the general area, and just like clock work, he got out of his stand fired up the ATV, and packed roughly 100 yards away from my stand, he pushed two nice bucks right to me with in bow range. I told him proof is in the harvest, the ATV does spook the deer. Thanks for taking the time wo help educate a lot of us with this focus on picking out better days to hunt.
    Have a blessed week.

    Man, my eyes tell me the rut happens at different times. I don't think you can narrow it to within a week or 2. I've tried your way. I've tried the moon phase. Now I'm going to take the hole month of November off work. shouldnt miss it than lol

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No you won't miss it, lol. But...it really does happen at the same time every season. If you follow that fact then the entire rut makes sense. The pre rut, the rut lock down phase, the primary rut and the post rut...all of course setting up the secondary rut. When you follow those dates...which take place within a day of each other each year, then it says out a fool-proof rut hunting strategy that you can count on every season. Just all highly proven science. Weather plays an influence in rut activity, hunting pressure plays a huge role and so does the presence of not of mature bucks. But rest assured same timing every year. Without following that rule...your level of potential success is extremely limited because you are always chasing and reacting, instead of dectating, controlling and setting up for in advance for it to happen. Most of my rut hunts are planned months in advance for a specific stand, specific time if the rut for a specific target buck...just need the weather to tell me when to hunt 🙂

    Awesome video, I really enjoyed watching that. Do you know of any cheaper alternatives to waterholes than those poly stock ones from TSC? Im looking for something in the 30$ range or so and the only tanks I see on TSC's website are way out of my price range especially if I want to build 3-4 waterholes. Would a rubbermaid container work?

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot Bradly!! It's s tough balancing act. Those $75, 100-110 gallon tanks are the cheapest I know of that you can count on to last for a decade or more. Also, you don't want to go any smaller. Anything cheaper will crack and fail within a short period of time...rubber maid containers, kiddie pool, etc. ESPECIALLY of there is a lot of snow and ice involved. I wish I could tell you something else...but I would be already using it myself for sure 🙂

    Good information for the land owner.....this public land in PA is a tough one. I'm 54 been archery hunting since I was 20. And let me tell you , you can do all your scouting and hang stands. One week before you want to hunt you'll have two tree stands near you and guys walking around at daybreak. And some groups put drives on from opening day. Very frustrating. I do have to play poker, craps and blackjack 😄😄 . I still get my deer tho. Thanks for the info.

    Interesting video & info. I've been hunting for more than 60 years. I think you should get a job as a weather forecaster 'cause you appear to be able to identify weather patterns better than the professional weather people. In Renfrew County, Ontario, we see more large bucks in late November and December. They seem to be looking for missed does regardless of weather. As for water holes, there are creeks, lakes and swamps where plentiful water is available. The bottom line is that hunting is a passion which I enjoy. Thanks for sharing your passion.

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Appreciate the question Cameron! They can spook deer greatly but really it's the hunting pressure that spooks deer...not the feeder. Same with food plots, mock scrapes, waterholes, apple trees. Any attraction will spook deer if deer associate that attraction with hunters. A bait pile is one of the word because hunters can't stand the temptation of hunting right over it. Crazy how you can just about set your clock by it. One thing that really heats up as soon as the pre rut kicks in...is morning and mid day waterhole use but bucks. They seem to start getting a little rutty and morr thirsty at the same time 😉 have seen that on our waterholes for roughly 17 seasons. Otherwise they do not need to hit water in the morning after feeding on green moisture crops all night. Where I grew up the local tavern was a deer check station. Over 50 years the lady who owned the establishment took records of buck harvest. Every year was the same Nov 10 to 15 were the days 90 percent of all bucks were killed. Was a lesson I never forgot from her timing is everything. From years of my hunting and camera observations Oct 24th seems to be the kick off date and gets good till Nov 18th then its very very spotty for miles around. Every bow hunter I know says the same thing in my area.

    This info is incredible! You have me riveted to the screen and will be using this info and passing it on. One of the places I will be hunting this year has a creek we will follow on the far left of the access and a corn field on the right. Straight ahead of that is a line of trees from left to high a couple hundred feet deep. Lots of food and water and tons of activity last year. There were large areas trampled where you could see where they nested in, but no sign of them when we were there. Noise when going to our stands? "much noise"! but need to figure out how to get around this, since the leaves were so thick and the way the deer trampled the corn, was nearly impossible to get though without noise. Cutting through the back side of the tree line and clearing a way through it, may be our best bet, if we do it now. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!!

      Jason Huntley that’s good. You probably have a nice dominant buck around. The big bucks don’t like a lot of pressure from does early before the rut. It’s more competition for food. I would hunt that northern area earlier and the southern area more towards rut.

      Greatest forecasting tool ever! Unfortunately, the company, Intellicast, was bought by WeatherUnderground in Jan,which also use to be decent. Problem w/ WU is they were acquired by WeatherChannel couple years back. And then they were bought by IBM. Sooo, long story short, the big companies look for little gems, think they know everything and proceed to screw up the little niche company to fit thier "efficient" model....which means they have loaded so much tracking that its impossible to click thru and u now get bombarded w/ ads. Ive searched high & low for a decent app and have not found any. For whats its worth, my goto for reliable 5 day forecast is a very small market local TV station. Of course they lack any of the historical data. But they are more accurate than big city tv/radio. If u do find an app, , I'd really apprecite the info. Good luck this season!!
