    Love the 757 ❤ Great quality video. Can’t beat the sound of those Rolls Royce engines 🤩

    Today's onboard safety instructions are such a normal routine with least importance that disruptive background music is played as the same way a jet 2 holidays package ad seen on tv! Lovely RB211 sound and thank you for sharing the video.

    Great filming. Those engines were properly on song 🎵. The 757 is such a rocketship. Flown on plenty of jet2s fleet.

      Pretty effortless takeoff. Didn’t push the engines too hard and got off in 30 seconds after thrust set. Short flight.

    There is nothing better to see a 757 flying , static , take of, landing and smiling to the passengers

    That must be one of the best videos I’ve seen on here. Legendary plane. The aer Lingus crossing, the golf air, then the take off with the quick view of MAN and then the clouds/wing fluff. Brilliant

    Glad to have discovered your channel, @Airplaneboi. This is an excellent video, and I thank you for sharing it. The RB211 is really amazing. I was introduced to it back in my TWA 'airline brat' days when I first flew on an L-1011, a magnificent airplane that I rode many times, including the years when I worked for Delta. In later years I was delighted fly aboard RB211-powered 757s with AA, BA, and EA. Again - great video! I'll now enjoy your other films. Cheers to you from Seattle!

      Wow so great that you have flown on the L1011🤩, I have just made another flight to Tenerife with Jet2 757, will upload the video tonight.

      @@airplaneboi747 I look forward to it! I'll add that one of my flights on a TriStar was aboard a DL L-1011 operating from ATL to BOS when I worked for DL in CVG Reservations. It was an early morning flight from ATL and the Captain told us there was a chance of diverting to another airport because BOS was fogged in. I smiled, knowing that the TriStar could handle most any weather. Our flight continued normally, and as the time for arrival at BOS drew near, we heard nothing more from the cockpit or cabin crew. Standard announcements were made to prepare for landing, we heard flaps extend, gear being lowered, and all indications were that we would land very soon. However, we could not see anything from the cabin. Nothing. We heard the final announcement to extinguish cigarettes (!!), return our seatbacks and tray tables to their upright, locked positions, and then...just a short time later...touchdown! Just as smooth as silk--and the entire cabin was silent; not a peep from anyone. 🤩Reverse thrust was engaged, along with braking, and our L-1011 came to a stop. We still couldn't see anything. Then the Captain spoke: "Well, ladies and gentlemen, the airplane landed itself but we can't see enough to taxi to the gate. We will wait here for a tug to come and tow us to the terminal." Before I disembarked the aircraft, I spoke with the Captain, First Officer, and Flight Engineer. I think they were as excited as I was about the airplane's flawless auto-landing at BOS. The Captain also said that ours was the only flight to have landed at BOS for several hours, and the airport was closed after we arrived. 🙂

      L-1011 is really an underrated plane, it was so advanced at that time. When was your flight with Tristar?

    • @bbinchi

      @@airplaneboi747 My first flight on a TriStar would have been in the summer of 1972. The Delta flight I wrote about would have occurred sometime in 1980, IIRC.

    I miss that Rolls Royce startup growl and spool up. Childhood memories. Can't believe I've never been on a 757 yet I always miss my chances. Been on L1011 767 and DC10 when I was a kid

    Why did the plane do a right then a left after taking off? Is it something to do with keeping noise away from populated areas on the ground?

    • @airplaneboi747
      @airplaneboi747  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I've checked the flight log and it was using SANBA as Standard instrument departure. And SANBA is a noise preferential route.

      Not quite , its noise to avoid Knutsford , no departures from 23L go over knutsford , all turn right at 3.2D from MCT and take respective routes from there based on radials from MCT, POL or WAL

    These are the old 757 Allegiant Air planes. Their logo is still on thr planes including the one behind you boarding passengers

    • @airplaneboi747
      @airplaneboi747  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the one they leased from Allegiant were G-LSAM and G-LSAL but they were already returned and stored. But the thing confused me is that why Jet2 decided to use very similar livery like Allegiant on other planes.
