I was able to visit this incredible site back in 2018 when I was volunteering on an archaeological dig at Tel Beit Shamesh. I wandered around here until I got lost in the incredible crumbling architecture that once was a seemingly invincible stronghold. Even as an archaeologist who has visited hundreds of sites, I still say this was one of the most magical places I’ve ever been to.

This was not Nimrod's Palace. Nimrod founded Akkad, Nineveh, Calah, and a couple more. If Nimrod ever went to Caanan (at that time), he would have conquered it.
