You absolutely must take your photo ID if you are using a birth certificate.
We went on our first cruise March 7th. We drove 4 hours on embarkation day got to check-in and my husband left his real id license at home on his nightstand. The kicker, the backup non real id ,that was technically still valid, had been in my wallet but i had changed to a smaller purse and wallet for vacation.
The utter panic and stress of trying to reach my mom,who was at my house staying with my kids, to get it and send photos of it was not the way to start a vacation. We were extremely fortunate that they chose to accept his VA id card with pictures of his license from my mom.
Let me tell you, we got home on a Monday, that Saturday we were at a post office applying for passports.
Anytime I get a notification, I can't wait to watch you two! One of my favorite couples! I feel like I know you all in real life lol.

Everyone please get a Passport. Print all documents, excursion and hotel even if you have it on your phone. I took my ten year old year granddaughter on Carnival and Royal. I didn’t need a notarized letter from her parents. She does have a passport maybe that why they didn’t ask for the letter 😌. Also check those credit cards a lot of them cover some parts of your cruise, luggage and airfare. It’s better to have more than less. Great vlog guys❤
The notarized letter is in case something happened and you needed to make a decision for her. The cruise line may not ask for it, unless she needed medical services. Then you’d have to call her parents without that letter, even in an emergency.

My birth certificate finally arrived a couple days ago. It took forever to get here. So long that I forgot I'd even ordered it. I need to get a passport just in case I want to do an excursion separate from the cruise line, arrive late, and am left. It would be a little tricky trying to fly home with no passport.

You and Stanley made my first cruise last year on the Magic july 2023 flawless and so easy.. With that being my first cruise. From checkin to debarktion I felt like I had been cruising for years.. IT was just that easy.. Sailing on the Mardi Gras in August of 2025.

Depends on the requirements of the countries you are visiting. The US says it is good until it expires. Some countries want 3 months left some others want 6 months. Always check with your cruise line for the requirements of your trip

You have put out bad info on the passport card. Some so called close loop cruises require a passport book. Countries like Panama, Grenada and Mortinique require a book and not a card. Please inform people to research exactly when and where the card is to be used. Sorry but we had friends denied boarding a Panama cruise several years ago because they did not have a passport book. Please inform people who want to travel to get a Passport Book. It will never be denied and is only $13.00 a year. Please emphasis this better.
That’s not what we said . We said for Puerto Rico depending on your ports stay up to date with what’s needed. But ayeee.
