I don't remember the exact quote but he said singing and dancing can be taught but a good personality can't be. So being in JYPE has definitely helped Got7 be more free than if they were in another company. I think another big part of that is that there are a lot of foreign trainess at the company and Got7 themselves have 3 out of 7 members being foreigners. Foreign members usually aren't as conservative as Koreans. They care about Korean conventions but it doesn't change their personalities. Instead they influence the Korean members causing them to be more free. I think that is what really happened in Got7. Almost half the group are foreign. It's also why they have a bigger fanbase internationally. They appeal to us more than to Koreans.

I think before GOT7 there were funny groups (I’m mainly thinking of suju) but chaotic, multilingual culture wasn’t as big or common until after GOT7 and I think they were a massive influence to other groups and how they act in front of camera etc. Even then, older groups were more relaxed and newer groups, although they have chaotic moments etc, are more scared and careful infront of the camera. I’m not saying GOT7 were the first, but I think they deffo had a massive impact in certain areas of kpop culture and fandom cultures in certain ways. You’ve got to love how free they are.

I recommend that you guys check out or react to Idol Radio on vlive. Jb and Youngjae were the DJs and the rest of GOT7 was there too. It was super funny and as usual crazy. It has been subbed, but on the options I suggest to choose the subs done by the fans since they did a great job adding the initials of who’s talking since it got pretty crazy to follow.
Just remember that things that are still not subbed on YT, are already subbed on GOT7's vlive. So if you're interested in GOT7's previous series - like Tourlog and stuff, it's subbed on Vlive. Usually subs on vlive are put by Ahgases after couple of days. We're still trying to force JYPE to hire translator but this company mastered the art of ignoring Ahgases' requests so. :/ DYEARY is subbed on vlive as well. :)

JB was so happy when they won 1st prize!!! they all were. It was really beautiful to see. I laughed so hard when I watched that live of "Poison", Jinyoung's panic face was priceless, it was chaos!! Love them so much. Btw that's what I like about got7, they laugh about their mistakes. There is a new behind the scenes where, I think they were recording the blindfolded performance of "Aura" and they'd been there for hours and Bambam messed up the choreo and had to film that section again but they were laughing at him. I mean they were surely tired af but they didn't get mad at him. They are amazing.
