She stayed out of the paint after a few collisions. #5 in white was sending a clear & clean message. K is listed at 5’6”, but she’s prolly more like 5’4”. That’s still kinda small to be crashing in to bigs all game. That’s alot of wear/tear
This game was from her freshmen year. Her recent highlights in her sophomore year have been a lot more driving, better play making and shot selection. Her game has grown a lot. Also her team is a lot better now.
Both Jerzy and Kaleena played great. Kaleena definitely was great in the first half and Jerzy came on in the second half. Great game, I wasn't going to watch the whole game but it was so interesting. Ontario is a real scrappy team it seemed like Sierra was 4 or 5 inches taller at every position, taller and bigger. Special K is very very special, dribbling, passing and shooting. Jerzy and Sierra played very good defense on her. I'm sure Special K will be a great college player regardless, but it would be good if she could grow 3 more inches or so.

I still can't tell who the 'star' on the Sierra Canyon team was. I am assuming the little No. 10 guard on the Ontario Christian team was your "Steph". But, if you take an unbiased look at her play, you will notice that, basically, she lost the game for her team. When she tried to "take the game over" with about five minutes to go when they were down a couple of points, she shot and shot LONG threes and missed and missed and missed and they couldn't get the rebounds and SC went down and scored and increased their lead so OC couldn't make up the difference. The Coach should have called a time out and had a talk with her and told her to just run the offense like the did when they got the lead. Either bad coaching or a player who doesn't listen to her coach. Just and outsiders opinions.

How you the biggest player on the court and get stripped with the ball up high? I don't understand what game the Sierra Canyon coach was watching. Kaleena was not finishing well inside... run her off the line every time, or at least show a few doubles. They really let her fry that one guard for like half the game and pretty much just let the girl yack 3s whenever she wanted. This shouldn't have even been a close game. There were literally players on Ontario that hardly scored, but Sierra didn't even force the ball into those players' hands even like once. I don't know how they let Kaleena fry them like that. She only had a right hand and only scored once off of it. All they needed to do was pressure her dribble so that she'd attack the space and get into the midrange then alternate sending up the help defense from time to time. Ontario's whole game plan was let her fry them from 3 and hope they double so she could pass out, but they never made any adjustment beyond just throwing a different player onto her.
