Oh and Sunday, il yo il, translates to sun day haha! Sorry I forgot one :) But yeah, once you know the meaning behind the days of the week it REALLY helps you remember them.
All of them do-- yo eel means day. ^_^ Monday (wolyoil) literally translates to "moon day", and then the rest of the days of the week translate to Tue- fire day, Wed- Water day, Thurs- Tree Day, Fri- Metal Day Sat- Earth Day :) It's interesting, many countries use a similar system (Mon comes from moon in English, and Spanish (lunes) comes from the Spanish word for moon as well (luna). I hope I explained this well enough in 500 characters haha! But it's pretty neat, you should research it!
Ive been practicing saying the days of the week for about 20 minutes and now my mouth feels weird. I think ots because i have to move my tongue differently to pronounce 르
This is why many folks including myself cannot properly pronounce some of the Korean words. To us Americans eel is part of the seafood diet Just to let everyone know the Eel part of the word has a rolling R sound
Jacob_Classified I think the editor of the video should’ve done some research and explain that eel (if they choose to spell it that way) at least let us know that eel has a rolling r sound
