Also, art galeries are actually useful. :) When visiting the gallery, a sim can become 'inspired' which will make musical instrument and painting skills, or any skill for that matter, accelerate in learning!
I could be wrong but I always thought that the toilet in the art gallery was a reference to Marcel Duchamp's "Fountain" - a urinal signed "R.Mutt". I know you don't like modern art but I thought, you know, fun art-nerd fact there for ya ;) love the gallery by the way!
I love how you were talking about the combination of green walls and concrete, because my former high school had exactly this colour scheme. we got a new building a few years ago and it is lime green and blank concrete mostly. some white walls and fake bricks too, but yeah.
Congratulation's! On your 100000s subscribers, you deserve it. What a amazing builder you are and you are concern with your subscribers. I really appreciate all you have done and giving us all throughout the years. Thanks you!!
I don't know exactly if I'm right or not, but I'm pretty sure that you're one of the only 3 simmers that has over 100,000 subscribers! :D You, Curtis (TheCurtisParadisShow), and Quxxn (TheQuxxn)... Congratulations James!!!!! I love ya! All of us fans love ya!!!! :D Keep doing what you're doing!!!! Byee! :D
Haha, everyone is saying LifeSimmer! I was just thinking that! I'm a simmer, but I have under 100K subscribers! It is so crazy that there are only (about) 4 simmers with 100K + subscribers!
really you deserve 100,000 subscribers because you work so hard to make your fans happy and I'm so glad to hop onto this long lasting train with you and the rest of your BIG fans. lol but i love you, i love your videos, and never stop trying to be the best that you can... because that is you best :)
I think the toilet on the pedestal in Sunset Valley is a parody of a real piece of Modern art called "Fountain" by Marcel Duchamp. It's basically the same, instead it's a urinal on a pedestal. Apparently the artist shared your feelings about Modern art, that any old crap gets into galleries, and he wanted to take the piss on the whole thing. Also I love how your toilet is right next to the Venus De Milo (a very valuable piece of classical art!) I think this build should stay as a gallery simply for its satire value.
The Sunset Valley "toilet on a pedestal art piece" is a reference to Marcel Duchamp's "Fountain" (a urinal laid on its back... yeah people say it is art)... at least that's what I think. Yay, the more you know! Congratulations on 100K subscribers James. :D
Hey James, if you're really pushed for time on getting this world finished, have you considered choosing your favourite lots people have submitted and using them? It could save a lot of time if you chose say your favourite 15 or 20 lots. You could also ask for help from people like deli and steph0sims and use their builds for the world. Just a suggestion however... Awesome build aswell!
I bet you would of liked the Pompeii exhibit the Museum of Science had a few years back that I was lucky enough to see while visiting a friend in Boston, MA.
watching this after sims 4 came out.. we should totally have this art gallery in sims 4 get to work :O cuz one can actually paint and sell, which would give this a purpose
Also, a study was recently done that says exposure to fine art like paintings and sculptures are the best way to help unfortunate children to break out of poverty. And their is absolutely no comparison between a painting on google images and the real thing.
Great JOB! Museum nothing, I would want this for a house. A house overlooking the sea with sun roof and a large porch. Here's an idea, how about if the floor tiles from 'In the Future' were recolorable, that way you can use them to make a solar panel stain glass window, which will let the light come in from the ceiling like a rainbow. Just a thought.
Actually there is a point to art galleries. When your sim sells a painting, I can wind up there, and other sims can look at it. It's like your selling it to the gallery, and it's pretty cool and it makes sense.
Maybe its an idea to post a video with the house conversions other people do of some of the builds you do? Only the best ones of course, I'd like to see the different configurations!
i wanna know how you got the sale carpet thingy (from your midnight hollow lp) so if u put somthing on it u could sell it but i wonder does that come with the expansion pack supernatural or did you need to buy midnight hollow? or did you need to buy something else to get it? pls tell me how to get it
Art gallery's are usefull but only for your kleptomaniac sims as you can come to galleries at night and steal stuff from them that's there main use in sims 3
How do you get the camera to show you the ceiling!? I had no idea you could change them. I've never gotten the camera to show them to me. Do you have to hit a button or something? I've been playing Sims games since the very first one and I didn't know you can do this, I'm a horrible simmer!
I'm belated in getting to these videos, but I'm almost bored with TS4 at the moment. Also, I'm enjoying getting "new" Sims content (for me anyway) while you're away in London. I even got my husband into your Cities: Skylines videos, and he's just started watching your COD videos too. If you're ever down in Tasmania, I'd definitely recommend checking out MONA (our gambling-funded, privately owned art gallery), it's mostly paintings, but there's a lot of cool and crazy sculptures too. Congrats on 100,000 subs ;-)
tbh in a modern art gallery, someone could drop a tissue on the floor and people would treat it like an exhibit and take photos of it. I've been to the Tate Modern several times because I stupidly chose to study art in high school. It's awful, the building is an eyesore, and we had to sketch out exhibits. So useless. BUT hey at least your building is really interesting to see! I'd probably hang out outside or just look out the windows at the view. The build is gorgeous - as is the Golden Toilet. (I need to stop commenting on old videos.)
I barely can build my own house and this guy builds on top of an island, Congrats.
Also, art galeries are actually useful. :)
When visiting the gallery, a sim can become 'inspired' which will make musical instrument and painting skills, or any skill for that matter, accelerate in learning!
I have been trying to think of a word to describe James and his building creations. I am going to say absolutely exquisite; and I love him too.
You know just casually laying on my kitchen table watching The simsupplys video......Don't judge me!
I'm L'ing my way through.
Welcome to our new exhibit, the 'Throne of Midas'
Hahaha :D
Haha nice one
.....
PhhhhhBWAHAHAHAAA!!! Lol!
This will be a nice replacement for the little club I built, bigger and better I always say!
Thanks, James!
I've had that as well, with clips being out of order. But nothing is better than getting a good laugh while doing commentary!
I once made an art gallery dedicated to putting toilets on a stool and putting crazy colors. The outside was also shaped like a toilet.
So beautiful ! Seriously James, you have talent !
I love how you were talking about the combination of green walls and concrete, because my former high school had exactly this colour scheme.
we got a new building a few years ago and it is lime green and blank concrete mostly. some white walls and fake bricks too, but yeah.
Looks great James. I also love the little funny details like the golden toilet and the high chair.
your creativity never ceases to amaze me!
james you are an absolute legend. i'm so jealous of your building skills!!! i really like your videos. btw congrats on 100k! I was here from 23k :D
Congratulation's! On your 100000s subscribers, you deserve it. What a amazing builder you are and you are concern with your subscribers. I really appreciate all you have done and giving us all throughout the years.

Can't forget lifesimmer she has 300,000+
LifeSimmer, too! :)
Haha, everyone is saying LifeSimmer! I was just thinking that! I'm a simmer, but I have under 100K subscribers! It is so crazy that there are only (about) 4 simmers with 100K + subscribers!
***** Thank you! :D I look forward to posting more sims videos! :)
Kiwi Gaming mabey it means something that all but one of them have the in their names...
I remember in the Sims 2 Nightlife there was a gallery that had a toilet that shot flames out of it.... Because why not?
really you deserve 100,000 subscribers because you work so hard to make your fans happy and I'm so glad to hop onto this long lasting train with you and the rest of your BIG fans. lol but i love you, i love your videos, and never stop trying to be the best that you can... because that is you best :)
I just saw the thunbnail picture and was like Oh my God, this is so amazing! A watched the whole video with my mouth open! :D Really nice build!
Thumbs up if you think he should make a resort 😃 possibly a mini island?
I think the toilet on the pedestal in Sunset Valley is a parody of a real piece of Modern art called "Fountain" by Marcel Duchamp. It's basically the same, instead it's a urinal on a pedestal. I can't wait for him to do some of the town house style buildings, along the main road, either side of the canal.
Looking good so far 😃😊😋😁
Sims get inspired in gallery ..gain painting skill faster and have better chance for masterpiece.
i love your picture °-° brings loving art/sculptures/ history to a whole other level :3
The Sunset Valley "toilet on a pedestal art piece" is a reference to Marcel Duchamp's "Fountain" (a urinal laid on its back... yeah people say it is art)... at least that's what I think. Yay, the more you know! Congratulations on 100K subscribers James. :D
el mejor museo que vi en toda mi vida!!precioso :3 y que paciencia para construir,yo me vuelvo loca haciendo una casita sencilla xD
Rewatching, because I still love this build 😊

You should convert it into a fancy cliff side restaurant, but it still looks amazing!
awesome! it looks amazing!!
i was just scrolling through and i saw this :o
This was the first video i ever saw from you, the feels.
really wish you could just download aluna island with all the buildings in it because im lazy like that xD
***** thank you did not no that x
You will be able when he has finished it
I build one of my favorite homes on this lot. It is a great lot!
You are one of the best builders ever!!
congrats on 100k! i love your builds :3

What a great early birthday present haha!!
Happy birthday for when it is your birthday!!! :D
17.25 - Derelicte by Mugatu.
ohmygod I love you and how you build
OMG I just LOVE this art gallery
Great JOB! Museum nothing, I would want this for a house. A house overlooking the sea with sun roof and a large porch. Here's an idea, how about if the floor tiles from
'In the Future' were recolorable, that way you can use them to make a solar panel stain glass window, which will let the light come in from the ceiling like a rainbow. Just a thought.
Didn't you say never to build symmetrically? This is completely symmetrical.
it's an art gallery it hast to be symmetrical
He said never to build HOUSES symmetrical. It makes sense for community lots.
that's why you should take building aesthetics tips from an architect instead of a gamer lmao
Awesome build :D It'd be fun to add in a cafe, I think.
this would make a beautiful fancy restaurant lot.
What's cool about art galleries is that if your sims painting something there paintings can be found in art galleries.
Actually there is a point to art galleries. When your sim sells a painting, I can wind up there, and other sims can look at it. It's like your selling it to the gallery, and it's pretty cool and it makes sense.
I love Aluna island and your a very good builder
How much more to go, to fill the whole of Aluna Island? ;) good work, keep it up!
Holy shit! This is awesome! Totally gonna smash a rezzie out of this!
Interesting build XD Seems like the museum of Dada.
Great work James!
Just downloaded your Art Gallery for Aluna Island its perfect,it would look good as a house but im going to keep it as it is Thank you :)xx
Maybe its an idea to post a video with the house conversions other people do of some of the builds you do? Only the best ones of course, I'd like to see the different configurations!
Yay, I love your houses by the way!
Hey don't ever stop making houses and videos and keep your houses up for download THANKS !!!!!!!!!
Reminded me of the Art Gallery made by Oscar Niemeyer in Rio, the one that has a shape of a UFO
How the hell are you so damn good at building? Omg
I will totally have my Sims rob this place.
i wanna know how you got the sale carpet thingy (from your midnight hollow lp) so if u put somthing on it u could sell it but i wonder does that come with the expansion pack supernatural or did you need to buy midnight hollow? or did you need to buy something else to get it? pls tell me how to get it
you can delete the glitchy roof tiles by using the delete tool
And now you're almost at 500k
What do you use to edit your videos?? ;)
Get that golden toilet roooiiight onto that pedestal.
Art gallery's are usefull but only for your kleptomaniac sims as you can come to galleries at night and steal stuff from them that's there main use in sims 3
so proud of you!!! :)
How do you get the camera to show you the ceiling!? I had no idea you could change them. I've never gotten the camera to show them to me. Do you have to hit a button or something? I've been playing Sims games since the very first one and I didn't know you can do this, I'm a horrible simmer!
This art gallery would be perfect for Marcel Duchamps, who once declared a pissoir for art and combined a bicycle wheel and a stool
omg let the whole neighbourhood be populated BY SIMS THAT DELI CREATED!! :D. shes like oh this house would fit with ........ PLEASE JAMES :D
You should apply for a silver play button from TH-cam :) Congrats on 100k!
Ur such a good builder I wish I could build like u
James, will the lots you already built will be base game in new update of Aluna? Please put them in, because I only have Base Game! :/ Please? :) :3
Wait, what? How did I not know about a Game of Thrones exhibit... I've been living under a rock.
I'm belated in getting to these videos, but I'm almost bored with TS4 at the moment. Also, I'm enjoying getting "new" Sims content (for me anyway) while you're away in London. Do your have to download the houses and lots separately or can you download the whole world with all the lots already?
Wait... I think I'm having a moment here. James and Flabaliki are the same person?! Am I being super dumb right now? Hahahaha...
That bed that you used that looks all scruffy and limit just came out of the dumping ground...what expansion pack or sims store?!

The yellow toilet though :) LOL
You can finish it before sims 3 just hold a build contest pick the best 3 or so then get them to help build

Amazing talent!
I think I will turn this in to an art gallery/studio. I've just gotta figure out how to fit all of the art equipment in it. :)
do u furnish the houses later on? if yes can i have a link?
100 k he said, 1,35 mn it is

This looks similar to the "Iron Man" house! You should totally turn this into that house!
Thanks, I must have missed it in the beginning.
Where can I download Aluna Island? I've gone on his website and clicked the download link for Aluna but nothing shows up.
This would be great as ITF art gallery as well.
How did you place a lot there ? o.O
please do like a Shop kind of build so people with the bakery set can buy it and sell there food!
how is game of thrones more fascinating than thousands of years of art .
looks great!
I think every art gallery in the world needs a golden toilet ASAP.
