Amen! The most talented workers in industry get paid on a much lower scale than their equals elsewhere. I left there in ‘97 after welding their for 15yrs. I was less talented than 90% of my coworkers, but I shine in the auto industry where I took my welding skills to. At over double the wage I might say. That right there tells how poorly NNS workers are paid.
What is the economic impact to us, in America, for that cost for this submarine? Each Mk48 would build a new city somewhere. In a figurative manner, it is money down the drain. Think ROI.
The economic impact is that there are 10-15 thousand jobs that it takes to build that submarine. Not only that but the vendors to build the components to go in that submarine are thousands of job's to help build it. You can't build a new city with just money. The taxes that were taken out of the paychecks of all of the people I just mention help pay for all the services you just mention.
Keto man; If it weren’t for our military might and machines like subs, Russia or China might be building cities here and you’d have to learn a new language.
@@soteriamediaproductions6165 We all need to learn a new language now. Call it computer language. And just how much revenue does that sub produce over its lifetime? Zero!!!
@@skip1lp Payroll must be huge. Just imagine the revenue that cost alone could be if we built a new refinery or replaced some of the bridges deemed unsafe by the dept of transportation. Then consider the revenue from. That sub once feet wet. Zero. It makes me sick to know the taxpayers waste on military programs instead of infrastructure. We have triad with boomers, Minutemans and three long range nuclear bombers. It suffices national defense. We need a solid economy and manufacturing a whole lot more than zillion dollar subs. We shod not be fighting other peoples was period.
This amazing submarine was launched in my home city, we are all very proud of it. I come from a navy family, my father doing 20 years of service.
Worked on Sub program 17 years..
Go Navy...
My hometown shipyard, soooo proud of the men and women who made are country strong!!👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That was pretty epic.
Very cool. My dad (RIP) worked as a nuclear engineer producing and testing America’s first several nuclear submarines.
The scale of the submarine when people are standing next to it is massive
Well done, watched twice.
But they don’t want to give the workers more than $3.50 over 5 years smdh

Don’t worry…they won’t give us too much money working there…..under $3.50 over 5 years is a joke
