Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the young professionalism of the boy in front starting at 03:02 ? He was literally about to crack and held it together WAY BETTER than I ever could.
Not funny to those who lived it. It is kind of sad that being run out of the house at shotgun point (I was 13; my brother was 11) on Christmas eve was not even close to the worst thing that happened. Should people who grew up with cruelty be mocked about it?
People can get a cheeseburger anywhere, okay? They come to Chotchkie's for the atmosphere and the attitude. Okay? That's what the flair's about. It's about fun.
@@yuh3277 That's kind of a different thing as there's no technical upper limit to a man having a kid. They keep producing sperm, just in smaller quantities with more chances of genetic anomalies as time goes on. Women, on the other hand, literally run out of eggs at some point.
“YOU DON’T TALK TO ME THAT WAY! I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS! I’M A LAWYER! PEOPLE FEAR ME! YOU GO TO HELL!” 😂😂😂😂Ik the “dodge stratus and people fear me” part wasn’t there but if it was that would be funny lol
NOBODY could make yelling and screaming funnier than Will Ferrell. NOBODY. Btw, the kids in this sketch deserve massive props for not breaking character... I keep imagining they must've replaced Jimmy Fallon with these kids when he couldn't control himself. 🤣🤣🤣
reminds me of my middle school friends stepdad,he would take the most unimportant and mundane things too seriously and have a fit if things weren't going his way.as we got older my friend from school and i ran into each other and I asked him about his mom and he told me that he cut off all ties with his mom and stepdad permanently.
I love these skits, but why are the commercials on SNLs TH-cam like 10x's longer & more often than any other channel?? I wanted to watch a bunchbof these but I cannot sit through all of these non skippable ads.
you know why. c'mon. not a matter of paranoid cynicism if it's absolutely true. they're flicking the back of your ears like this bc they want your money. they want you to give in to your legitimate frustrations. and submit. don't, i say. fuck 'em. get an ad blocker. watch thousands more videos for free. hell, write the next great american novel, with the extra time you'll be saving. borders on psychological warfare for me. fucking hate ads.
"Is Grandma going to die?"
-"She is if you don't NAIL IT THIS TIME!"

He held it together way better than Fallon would have!
Better than Jimmy Fallon could
These disfunctional family skits are iconic. Just as funny as sad.
Based on real people...
*Dysfunctional
Yeah, as funny as it is, it's very true to life for those who had a narcissistic parent.

@@flagmichael who did you think made the skit dingus - comedians generally have trauma
Will Ferrell is iconic
have you ever watched him talk about both of his sons? one loves his dad's comedy and his other son could careless and is academic.
@@Nicklibera1959 And now I'm searching Will Ferrell's sons...I love TH-cam comment leads. 🙂
Thats funny....hey u shut up! Lolol
Do not mess with your dad, HE DRIVES A DODGE STRATUS
Big time Stuff! Lol 😂🤣
I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS!!!!!!!! A STRATUS!!!!!!!!!
He also drives a Mitsubishi Galant!
I go to court and speak big words lmao 😂
I go to court and talk with big words
Knoa Bowman you are right 🙂
“I‘m a lawyer and you are going to hell” xD
U shut up! Lolll...been looking all over for this
I love the little boy trying not to laugh at the end 😂
"GET OFF THE DAMN SHED"
brad....jeff...be a dear and get off the shed.
Pretty much this. In almost all of his sketches.
that was back when "happy birthday to you" wasn't in public domain. This skit must have cost them a fortune.
You have to pay for the rights now?!?!
Eggbert08 The reverse - it has been put into public domain. That’s why chain restaurants used to sing their own weird versions of it lol

Thought you were joking until I looked it up just now.
@@armstrongjosh yup. wonder if thats why snl never put this on youtube before
You can’t duplicate Will Ferrell. He’s the master of sketch comedy.
Will Ferrell is me every time I hear people change keys in the middle of happy birthday.
* S I N G T H E D A M N S O N G* !! 😂
His best skit or one of them. Every time my kids sing my mom happy birthday I can’t help but think about this. 😆
Sooo. She's 86 and he's 37 ... Mistake baby? That'd explain quite a bit.
Sound's like impossible baby to me
Dan Boyle I have a kid in my grade who’s 15 and his dad is 76

MrGoat I’m just saying it’s gross
There are no mistakes...just happy little accidents. 🌲
This is what happens when a woman has a kid at 49.
@@xWarEternalx yip
Will Ferrell was such a legend, they wrote skits just for him alone. No other cast members. No celebrity guest. Just Will Ferrell and some kid actors.
I'm just over here trying to comprehend how a skit from my teenage years is vintage now...
Shades of the DODGE STRATUS skit near the end of this one
Don’t sit there and tell me 70s SNL was better than 90s SNL
?! /clangs dropped utensils upon dishware/
someone actually sat there and told you that?!
"70s SNL was better than 90s SNL" /clangs again!/
I'm sure every season had its good and bad episodes.
yeah, but isn't this the same character will ferrell does in like every skit?
BlankTom you could say the same thing about John belushi
@@collinmartin9925 no i couldn't. i've barely seen any of SNL from the 70s
This skit brought to you by Nintendo, it brings families together! lol
just imagine
“Is grandma going to die?”
“She is if you don’t nail it this time”
Dead 😂
I GO TO COURT AND SPEAK BIG WORDS, I AM LAUGHING SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HARD!
Usual conversation with my mom, especially “don’t talk to me that way!” part
“YOU DON’T TALK TO ME THAT WAY! I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS! I’M A LAWYER! PEOPLE FEAR ME! YOU GO TO HELL!” 😂😂😂😂Ik the “dodge stratus and people fear me” part wasn’t there but if it was that would be funny lol
Love you SNL. You make me laugh so much.
This brings back memories from when my dad math tutored me
Awww cute and funny!! My family always sing Happy birthday to me on my birthday too!!
this prob inspired Step Brothers Adam Scott + family singing scene lol
Funny 😄 ❤❤❤
"Adults in the 21st century scarred by Will Ferrell as child actors in the nineties" could be a whole sub-category of therapy.
Lmao🤣🤣
I'm about to watch Step Brothers🙂
I'm sorry for you.
Now grandma can watch dad torture his poor kids to sing the darn song! 😂😂😂
A 💯 ❤❤❤
At 2:40 I was expecting him to yell “You don’t talk to me that way. People are afraid of me. I drive….I drive a Dodge Stratus”
Will Farrel was certainly the king of yelling on SNL ...
The kids were actually pretty good
When your dad actually communicates like that
Just did the math, his mom had him at age 49!😂
Kids: *sings happy birthday naturally*
Dad: *that was terrible*
😂😂😂
I wonder if this the same dad who told his kids to "GET OFF THE SHED!!!"
or 'GET ON THE BASE!!!!'
😂
"I suggest you people get this right if you don't want to spend the night in the car!" 🤣
Kudos to those kids keeping their composure. I woulda burst out laughing
I am a LAWYER!
This is kinda how I get in the classroom sometimes.
Those kids are amazing.
NOBODY could make yelling and screaming funnier than Will Ferrell. NOBODY.

The inspiration for his brother in step brothers
I love Will Ferrell so much 😭😭😭
"I'M A LAWYER! I GO TO WORK AND TALK WITH BIG WORDS!" 🤣
Will Farrell the funniest man on the planet!!!
I thought Will was gonna tell Grandma to..."Get off the GD shed!!!"😂🤣
Mom is 86
Son is 37
So, she had him at 49 years old? Modern birthing miracle right there.
ilovebrandnewcarpets mom had me at 47. She turns 72 next month. I’ve also become as crazy as Will Ferrell as a result.

That little blonde girl was nailing the emotional facial expressions.
I love will ferrell,
Those kids are so gosh-darn lucky to be apart of this SNL skit w/ Will! I would love to be in too, but I would be breaking character to baddly XP
AND GET OFF THE DAMN SHED!!!! Man, those kids are a nightmare!
Funniest birthday video ever!
Happy Birthday Aiden!!
“I suggest you guys shut up and sing like professional singers!” 😂😂😂
It's my 18th birthday tomorrow 🎉🎂
Happy 18th Birthday. Have a great life! 🥳🥳🥳
Happy Birthday!
Well, La Dee Freakin Dah!!!
WTF 99' is vintage now???
21 years ago ... Drinking age. Suppose 20 years is how they determine classic car status. Maybe vintages in sketch life are similar deal?
This is really dark...i like it!!!
I wanna know how the song is supposed to be sung
with runs....lol
Me too.
Like professional singers, dammit! Lol
“What the hell was that” lmao
What would've made this even better was if Will actually sang a demented version of the song, LOL
It's a SIMPLE SONG! 🤣🤣🤣🎵
wait for it lol
Fun fact: 2 out of the 3 kids starring in this sketch would go on to costar in Mrs. Doubtfire as Robin Williams' children
It needs more cow bell. Bwahaha

Who else remembers Nintendo Magazine w/Nester?
disturbed sound of silence
This is amazing .. How is this nott brought up in best of will Ferrell SNL discussions?

I used to be friends with the girl on the left in the purple shirt...

They'll never show this on NBC again....
Every sketch he’s in, he plays an abusive narrow-minded control freak. I’d guess this is a reccurring voice in his head from past trauma.
