Battle of Kargil is perhaps the toughest battle every fought.Fighting and capturing back the heights at 13000 ft from the ground speaks volumes about the courage n skill of Brig Bajwa n his team.Nation is indeed forever indepted to them.Brig Bajwa n me are old school comrades of Sainik School Kapurthala a great institution which imparted a great foundation of courage and philosophy of success often comes to those who dare and act'.These words are registered in our minds for all times to come and have been our guide forever.My compliments to Ruchi Singh for the eye opening interview.

It’s mesmerising post. You have got to see and listen to it to believe the steal nerves Brig Bajwa had to take the sort of decisions he took which brought our country proud moments. The humanity shown to the captured Pakistani soldiers including appreciating the valour of Pakistani officer and recommending him, who was awarded Nishan e Haider, will have no parallel in the history of warfare . A saga of true grit and astute leadership by Brig MPS Bajwa during the epic battle for the capture of Tiger Hill during Kargil War. Liked the candid and frank manner in which he narrated the planning and execution of the challenging task. The display of valour and readiness to make the supreme sacrifice by our junior officers and troops was moving. So was the courtesy shown to the dead and the captured enemy soldiers which was unlike the shameful conduct of Pakistanis. A big salute to the commander and his band of brothers who made the day

Kargil war was the battle of Infantry, a battle of guts and acid test for good strategy , planning and Infantry Tactics. To conquer this objective highest level of planning, guts ,morale, courage and trg was required. I am glad soldiers of Indian Army with their Cdr well displayed themselves in all spheres.Narration of the battle by then Cdr of the Brigade which captured the feature, Brig MPS Bajwa is outstanding to bring out each aspect of battle in so much detail. Ruchi Singh has done equally a wonderful job for her audience by ensuring all aspects are brought out in open. Well done for well covered interview.

In winters its not sustainable to be positioned there. However if you look at the Pakistani accounts, accd to them the reason why they lost is because they did not declare that they were Pak soldiers, so they couldn't support them by air or couldn't reinforce them overtly. Also their objective was to occupy 20 odd posts for bargaining for Siachen. However since the entire area was empty, they ended up occupying 200. So even as per them it wasn't part of the plan. It was all a mess to start with which Musharraf doesn't agree with. He constantly maintains what he did was right and Nawaz Sharif lost the victory at political table. From our standpoint, I would dare say Saurabh Kalia's death was his own folly. His unit wasn't patrolling the area and some say even he was responsible for dereliction of duty.
