Thanks for heads up on the John Hartford Fiddle Tunes Project recording. I have the book with his tunes in them and enjoy playing them. I need to find me a copy. It was fun seeing a copy of The Mill Run Dulcimer Band. They were from Virginia, not too far from DC. I have been out to see them at the Mill Run. The bass player in the group was a well-known lap dulcimer maker and the dulcimer players usually played his instruments. Thanks for the video.
Hi Charlie! I'm looking forward to vol 2 of the Hartford Project. I really ought to get that songbook to give to my daughter in the hopes that she would get out her violin and play a bit but she has a full plate these days.
I said hi to Maria Muldour last night. We were both at a T-Bone Burnett concert at the Freight & Salvage. His first set they played the new LP straight thru. Great show, T-Bone has not toured in 20 years. Busy producing. Please listen to the Jo "King" Carrasco LP before you sell it. That was his brand new record the first time I saw him. I have tried to buy his entire catalog, I'm missing a few of the live ones, after that. His keyboard player back then was Kris Cummings. She is married to the executive producer, Joe Nick Patoski. He has written many great music articles and books. The last time I got to see Joe "King" Carrasco was in 2015. Played a club in Pacifica, CA (about 60 Bay Area miles from my home in San Pablo, CA). He was still great!
Hi Groove! Great infor there. I'd love to see T-Bone in concert. I've got a couple of his lps from before he started producing so much and like them. It's good to know that Maria M. is still out and about, hope she is in good health. I said on the video that I had seen Carasco live but the more I think about it I might be confusing him with Brave Combo? Both use accordion in their band. I do remember getting an import from Joe that I still have. Take care friend.
I’m going to be doing my first show in November. Sounds like we’re on the same path. I’ve put together about 250 records to sell, mostly Jazz and bluegrass with some classic rock thrown into the mix. A 6 foot table is $35, cheap enough. Love Norman of course and always looking for more of his stuff. Good luck at your show.
Hi Jonathan! Thanks for watching. I think you will enjoy selling at the record shows. I know I enjoy it a lot, especially the socializing with fellow music lovers, even if I sometimes don't sell much. And that is a good deal for a table. The Raleigh show is $55 which I still think is reasonable.
Hello Elliott. I’ve only got one Norman Blake record, but I’m always looking out for him. I heard his last album and was disappointed to discover how much his playing had deteriorated. It looks like they did a wise thing on this new one by bringing in lots of guests. Cool musical saw album. I’ve got a CD of an old guy playing hymns and gospel songs on the saw, which I bought from him when I came across him busking at the Grand Central Station subway station when I was in New York a while back. I play the saw, but I don’t really practice it enough these days. Cheers - Hedley
Hi Hedley, thanks for dropping by the channel! I'd love to hear you play the saw. I think that would be a great video!!!!!!! There are so many great NB LPs out there getting his stuff from his prime is highly recommended rather than this one. Take care my friend.
Let Freedom Ring!!!
Hi Courtney, yes I'm looking forward to spinning that one! Take care my friend.
Great stuff, Elliott.
Hi Marty, thanks for watching my friend and Keep on Truckin"!!!

Enjoyed your video.
Hi Tony, thanks for watching my friend.
I know it is just a flip, but I call Frank Sinatra the big band killer because his material with big bands was way too slow for my taste. Hi Chester!
Hi Calvin, I'll give that Frank record a spin and see if I agree. I'll consult with Chester on it too as he has discriminating tastes!!!
