…. Wow.. hard to believe the time has come for full-time living. Congratulations.. enjoy every mile… journey.. breathe.. appreciate every part of this next season in your life. Look forward to the adventures and new places.. take care.. God bless
Hi there, love your camper!!! Dinner looked great, however be CAREFUL whilst cooking around YOUR CURTAINS, AND YOUR TOWEL... FIRE HAZARD!!! Your camper brings back memories!!! Camped with my dad , it was so much fun!!! Hope you really enjoy your home on wheels, looking forward to future videos!!! Much Love and Be Well ❤
Hi Jonathan! I tried your glazed brussel sprouts. I didn't have any steak on hand, but did have half a package of tempeh. I cut the tempeh in strips and added it to the sprouts and cooked all until lightly browned and a little crisped around the edges. I added the sauce - soy sauce, maple syrup, and siracha) and cooked it all together until the tempeh and brussels were coated. It was delicious! Thanks for the recipe idea. Keep cookin'' and campen'!!! Oh, and sharing your adventures and recipes!
I’m so fascinated by this lifestyle. You make it even more fascinating. Such a simple way of living….I love it. 19 minutes wasn’t enough!! Full time living!! Congratulations!!! Excited to see what’s next.
Get a hitch mounted step. The first time your foot slips off that hitch and your shin gets acquainted with it, you will see why. Better yet a hitch mounted bumper step. Even a little tap from a car will ruin the lift gate and your camper.
Thanks for showing washing the fry pan and clean up. I always wondered in others videos, how the dirty dishes just magically disappear and magically reappear clean for the next meal.
What a guy eh i mean really, what a guy. Yentch is a man of a piece of the earth that has been in a position to be able and has to be able and I think that Dogecoin is the only thing I have to say that I am sure that I am the one who has been in the same page for a few years and now she has been in the process.
I just got home from June Lake in the Eastern Sierras and man, it was gorgeous there. I went trout fishing at the lakes alog the June Lake loop, and hiked, it was amazing.
I read you can get a hole cut out from the inside of the truck to the camper. It's like a crawl opening so you don't have to get out of the truck to go into the camper. Like an RV.
Not a good idea, what if later he needs to sell just the car, no one would buy with a hole in it, besides theres probably a good 12 inches gap between the truck and the slumber queen.
congrats Jon, nice camper, nice video. keep the Tacoma, it's already got an upgraded suspension package, it can handle the extra weight. Please include your fishing videos, that would be interesting, catch and cook videos ftw!
the food looks delicious. I'm from Belgium where Brussels sprouts are a national dish, but I've never seen the way you prepare them. We usually stew them in butter with salt and pepper and bacon. I will definitely try your recipe. Thanks for the tip!
Love watching what and how you cook. Everything looks delicious and the step by step is easy to follow or at least be inspired by. Your setup turned out very organized, spacious and clean. Looking forward to future adventures.
Great looking steak! It's said that when you make a statement and then say you're just kidding that you mean about 50% of what you just said. BTW, they do make a blowup, cushion-type device to help support your over-the-cab sleeping area from bouncing as you drive. Take care and be safe, and thank you for bringing us along to share your adventures. A Fans Only page isn't a bad idea!
Jonathan that meal is definitely a winner .!!! If you ever cook a steak a little too much just put some butter in a pan put the steak in the butter for a second both sides that will replace the moisture it comes out quite well
". . . . and spend the night in my renovated truck camper." (don't be so impersonal) . . . we're all family you can proudly call her by her iconic name with us . . . "Slumber Queen"
Its good to have a space between the camper and the truck where those little windows are how the heck do we clean them! We just got a 1979 camper on a 150 ford truck. So happy keep going !
May I share a Brussels trick with you? If you hold the Brussel by the core end you can slice the leafy part much easier and they can get really crispy too. Just a thought not a sermon
Yes on getting a Tundra. It's definitely going to hold the Slumber Queen a lot more efficiently than the Tacoma. Going high speeds on the highway or on rocky dirt trails with the Slumber Queen on a Tacoma is a disaster waiting to happen. Hope a deal works out for you. Great to see the Slumber Queen outside. You did a great job on it.
You’re a great chef 👨🍳 and your spirit is full of positive energy ! Awesome way to be ….and it rubs off ! Congrats on your continued adventure with the slumber Queen and where it takes you !! We will all be watching !! Tune in next time folks !! 😁
I used to hate them all the time my mom would just steam them. But they seem to be popular again and I've had them grilled or cooked the way Jonathan did. It brings a totally different better flavor
Have you found a place to weigh at? You can do it at a truck stop. You got to the CAT scale and drive on. They will weigh the front and rear axles and also give a total weight. It costs less than $20.00. We do it with our class c rv probably twice a year. Love your channel! The steak looked fabulous.
Hey Jonathan! You were within a few miles of my brother's home in Lake Arrowhead. I have family in the Lake Gregory area as well. I used to work in Lake Arrowhead and live down in San Bernardino and it was a blast to ride my Harley up and down the mountain on Hwy 18. That steak meal you cooked looked absolutely delicious on tape but I would have preferred the steak medium rare. I love brussel sprouts and usually I roast mine in the oven drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, generous salt, pepper and Montreal Steak Seasoning which I also sprinkle generously on the steak as well. I want to try your recipe with the siracha sauce, maple syrup and shoyu. Great video, man! I love doing quick overnight camping trips as well. BTW if you need fishing tips, my brother, Joe, is one of the best trout fishermen in California.
That steak was cooked very well,if you allow me,next time instead of seasoning it on the store's tray, just do it on an actual plate, the steak lost all the salt and pepper to that nasty absorbing mat, better yet,do it as you first arrive to camp.On another note, the best Tundras to buy are;2001,2003,2009,2013 and 2015 year models due to low costumer complaints.
You have to have shore power for that or healthy wattage from another source. They drain the watts! If you watch Foresty Forest, he just got a Ninja Foodi in his van but he has a big power set up, I think with solar panels on roof and inverter.
Looks delicious. I think you need a little more butter brother! I am going to try your soy, Sriracha and maple syrup glaze. Sending good thoughts, positive energy and groovy vibes!
I have ran into the weight issue with my Nissan Titan XD. I am on the fence about having a truck camper as I can only carry 1600lbs. Most Truck campers (new ones) weigh very near that at dry weight. Nice to hear that your Taco can handle it. Loved the video Jonathan! Great job sir. You should come check out Texas if you ever get a chance.
Looks great but how long did it take the smell of steak and burnt grease to air out of your camper? Tundra's are great vehicles but they have horrible payloads vs Ford/GM/RAM. And even though your Tacoma has decent payload and parts that reinforce the suspension all of that stuff does technically subtract from your payload (payload is calculated by taking the vehicle's GVWR and subtracting its curb weight, and all of those add-ons increase your curb weight). The scale you need to find is a certified CAT scale (most bigger truck stops have them) and find out what each of your axles weigh when your setup fully loaded for travel. I think the ones you referenced in the video that said "no pickups" are not public scales they are DOT weigh stations for us CDL drivers. Don't weigh there, DOT can be jerks sometimes and you don't want to get an overweight ticket just because they are in a bad mood. ;)
have you had Simmzy's Brussels? I only want em fried for sure! so dope to finally see you on this new chapter. been waiting :D okay ima film the off grid tomorrow and get to editing on my days off ;p OMG I will make the Simmzys Brussels if you make that herb buttered steak please thanks
Zero your trip meter and fill up full (without camper).... write down millage (better if you measure to 3/4 tank). .. this is so u dont rely on the inaccurate gas gauge. Do the same method with the camper..... see if fuel is accurate (-10 to15% on millage value without camper) Also compare how much (gallons you fill up from 1/4 with and without camper)
My girlfriend and I have lived in a van before but this seems like such a better option!!! I don't know why more people don't go this route with a truck camper ?!?!?! 🤔
watch out for wild cougars, when you are camping in the mountains, especially the two legged ones
😂😂😂
I love two legged cougars....
They only come out after sundown and a couple Chardonnay’s. There usually driving 5-7 year old high mileage BMW’s. Beware, they shoot to kill.
🙄
That's rough especially when you just dealt with wild Beavers down south.
…. Wow.. hard to believe the time has come for full-time living. Congratulations.. enjoy every mile… journey.. breathe.. appreciate every part of this next season in your life. Look forward to the adventures and new places.. take care.. God bless

You need your own cooking show! That looked so delicious.
Hi Jonathan! I tried your glazed brussel sprouts. I didn't have any steak on hand, but did have half a package of tempeh. I cut the tempeh in strips and added it to the sprouts and cooked all until lightly browned and a little crisped around the edges. I’m so fascinated by this lifestyle. You make it even more fascinating. Such a simple way of living….I love it. 19 minutes wasn’t enough!! Full time living!! Congratulations!!! Excited to see what’s next.
I am not sure what is more satisfying, the food or the cleaning afterwards. I guess as someone who has OCD, it's the cleaning part lol!
Wow .... if you watch MAV. There's so much resemblance.
I see it too , makes you wonder .
Get a hitch mounted step. The first time your foot slips off that hitch and your shin gets acquainted with it, you will see why.
Better yet a hitch mounted bumper step. Even a little tap from a car will ruin the lift gate and your camper.
Another great video. Can’t wait to follow your backpacking and fishing adventures coming up. Thanks Jonathan.
Hi friend !! from Argentina you need a folding table to eat !! I love how your new house turned out !!! for more adventures !! 🎉🎉
Kiddo, you've got it all figured out! Have fun! 🛻🛻🛻🛻
Just stumbled across this video. Gained a new sub. Love the vibes. Can’t wait for more videos
You should consider getting a step that goes into your trailer receiver.
That is what I said!!!
Thanks for showing washing the fry pan and clean up. I always wondered in others videos, how the dirty dishes just magically disappear and magically reappear clean for the next meal.
I noticed your curtain is pretty close to your cooking range! Be careful 😳 Steak and Brussel sprout look delicious..
Hey Jonathan What's going on you need to get a 1 ton Crew cab long bed so you can get a bath room in the camper for Tesa The steak was great
im a simple man; I see a yentch video, I click
Lol that cracks me up! I am the same way.
What a guy eh i mean really, what a guy. Yentch is a man of a piece of the earth that has been in a position to be able and has to be able and I think that Dogecoin is the only thing I have to say that I am sure that I am the one who has been in the same page for a few years and now she has been in the process.
I’ve talked to several Toyota truck owners that complained about fuel milage especially on the 4x4 models
Yotas are not known for being good on gas.
I just got home from June Lake in the Eastern Sierras and man, it was gorgeous there. I went trout fishing at the lakes alog the June Lake loop, and hiked, it was amazing.
You could get your rig weighed at the dump. You’re Tacoma and slumber queen appear to be a good match.
Just a Reminder Jonathan, Move That Curtain Over and Out of the Way!! It's Too Close to the Back Flame!! Dinner Looks Yummy!! Stay Safe!!

Im like you dude I always have to have my dishes done and everything cleaned up and back organized before i relax.
I wanna see how much it cost to live in a truck camper as a minimalist! You need to make this!
People like those kind of videos
Not so fuckin bad 🛁 as it Looks sometime...LOL
Love watching what and how you cook. Everything looks delicious and the step by step is easy to follow or at least be inspired by. Your setup turned out very organized, spacious and clean. Looking forward to future adventures.
I like my steaks medium well, looked delish! And I always cook them in my cast iron skillet too, always so awesome.
Yes love your recipes, been traveling n camp but homeown now, keep up from my family and friends
Great looking steak! It's said that when you make a statement and then say you're just kidding that you mean about 50% of what you just said. the coffee drink is the money shot!

you should add pepper towards the end because the pepper could burn. true tale
Dude you love everything which is a good quality but when it comes to food is everything perfect to you you just love to eat enjoy.
May I share a Brussels trick with you? If you hold the Brussel by the core end you can slice the leafy part much easier and they can get really crispy too. Just a thought not a sermon
Go lookup any public scale. Many cities have them if you need to weigh. Used to do it all the time growing up building fast cars.
Me too..I have cut out a lot of meat this year..but enjoy it once in awhile...really like your videos!
If you want to weigh the truck, go to a big truck stop, I think it's like $10-$15 well spent to know the weight.
Yes, there are public scales. I weighed my cargo trailer at a moving company. $15.00
Gas is about to be wild
I've got to try ur sauce for the Brussel sprouts and do the steak you've done it.. looks awesomely good
In Oregon , a lot of the water ways are fly fishing only. Getting fly fishing gear is most likely a good idea.
You’re a great chef 👨🍳 and your spirit is full of positive energy ! Awesome way to be ….and it rubs off ! Congrats on your continued adventure with the slumber Queen and where it takes you !!
We will all be watching !! Tune in next time folks !! 😁
Great Travels and I don't like brussel sprouts however I would try the dinner you made
I used to hate them all the time my mom would just steam them. But they seem to be popular again and I've had them grilled or cooked the way Jonathan did. It brings a totally different better flavor
Hey Jon , ride that tacoma till you can afford a new one , those things are built to last !
Just started watching your channel. We are completely different but I like your style and videos keep up the good work!
I’ve had Tacoma’s and tundras, both great but will tell you tundras are gas guzzlers but either way both have incredible longevity
Hey Jonathan! You were within a few miles of my brother's home in Lake Arrowhead. I have family in the Lake Gregory area as well. Gordon Ramsey 4 min. New York with the addition of rosemary , delicious 😋
Get a small air fryer. Perfect for using as an oven and a healthy fryer.
You have to have shore power for that or healthy wattage from another source. They drain the watts! If you watch Foresty Forest, he just got a Ninja Foodi in his van but he has a big power set up, I think with solar panels on roof and inverter.
Lol why does he seem so carefree and laid back here compared to recent videos lol hope everything’s good
Couldn't imagine fishing at 4:30am
Looks delicious. I think you need a little more butter brother! I am going to try your soy, Sriracha and maple syrup glaze. Sending good thoughts, positive energy and groovy vibes!
I’m always like COOL!!! They’re back!!! Always nice to watch... Thank you 🙏
Dodge Cummins the way to go. Great video. Good cooking 👍
Be safe have fun
Find a truck stop, they usually have a scale for anyone to use, might cost 20 bucks.
Congratulations i’m moving into the rig full-time! It’s going to be so fun!!
Congratulations man
@@RetiredTony thank you!! Do you have a camper?
You are allowed to have more than one fork. If you are going to live in RV full time.... l still have 3 of each and l live by myself.
I'm inspired to make that meal! looked delicious. Have a great week.
google public scale or CDFA to find your local scales to get your truck weighed
Love how you enjoy your coffee!
happy trails
Rosemary goes great with steak just saying. Garlic and onions too. Mmmm
The steak looks amazing!
I'm ready to get a truck camper too

A steak done medium well is a steak done right!
You’re a darn good cook!
Congrats on living in your camper home full time ⛾☕🍽

Keep that truck. Its the most overbuilt truck ever made.
Very Nice!!!
Yeah, I guess you could camp there too!🤔🙂Why not!! OMG! You put your foot in that food!🦶 I would eat that meal!!🥩🧄I love the coffee part!!☕🌺
Just came across your channel. Nice work. I’m a fan.
Steak looks good in the thumbnail. House warming dinner party.🎉
Another awesome upload ... ready for a catch and cook ...
So relaxing

My girlfriend and I have lived in a van before but this seems like such a better option!!! I don't know why more people don't go this route with a truck camper ?!?!?! 🤔
