Wow! Great video and timing! I really appreciate the detail. I recent purchased the MX 3 mouse based off one of your other videos and while I was at it, I got the keyboard as well! This thing is exactly everything you said it is. The fatigue in my fingers from using an Apole keyboard was terrible, but this thing is amazing. And, the FN buttons suck, except the emoji one. But, you can't close emjois with the button. 😂 Thanks again!
You know it's hard for me to compare them. Sometimes I'm in the mood for one over the other. I will say I can get into a groove and type much faster on the Satechi. Although I like the functionality and customization options of the logitech. I know that wasn't much help but I hope you enjoy whichever you purchase. The Satechi is holding up great still. No issues at all.
Thanks for making this video! I recently purchased the Logitech K380, and although I've been enjoying it I've been wondering about the MX Keys Mini. It seems like they're both approximately the same size, and the layout look somewhat similar. So far it's hard to validate the big price difference, especially since I would consider adding on the Bolt receiver. Would love to hear your feedback. Thanks!
Hey Ignacio. I actually have the K380 as well. The K380 is really hard to beat for the price. I really like that little keyboard. The circular keys are an adjustment anytime I use it, though. If you're looking for something with a bit more of a premium feel or rechargable w/ backlighting, the MX is a good choice. However, if you've been happy with your K380 and it's not broken I wouldn't upgrade personally.
Hey Sean! Thanks for your quick response! I appreciate it. I've only had the K380 for about a week, and I honestly can't say that I hate it. But since I'm using it for about 7 hours a day for work, I've been thinking if the MX is a better investment and will offer me a better experience. Although it's a nice feature, I really don't see myself using the backlighting. I do like that it's rechargeable, but I also almost always use rechargeable batteries. The premium feel might be worth it in the long run, and might help with the overall lifespan. Since you've used both, do you feel a difference in your typing experience? It seems like the keys on the MX might be spread a bit further apart, and I'm wondering if that makes a difference. I just subscribed to your channel, and looking forward to future videos. Thanks again!
@Sean Marsalis. Thanks for the great review. May I ask how long your keyboard stays illuminated for AFTER you stop typing and does the keyboard always illuminate when your hands are near it or is it hit and miss?
Hey there. Thanks for watching. It stays illuminated for about 5 seconds after I've finished typing and I've had pretty good luck with it lighting up with just presence of my hands before beginning to type. Hope that answers your question.
Quite why logitech left the usb dongle out is beyond me too. However at the moment no one seems to stock it even logitech which is a bit mysterious. Also the dongle uses a new security protocol called bolt and the old unifying USB dongles do not work on the MX keys Mini. All seems okay but it seems that if you need to use it; the host computer needs to have software installed (I may be wrong on this). This is a game changer for me as there's no way most IT departments allow a user to install software on work PCs.
Great information. Thanks for sharing, Peter. So with the newer dongles no additional software is needed? I didn't even consider IT department standards on third-party software.
I have the MX Keys and for some reason I just can't see what the fuss is all about. Personally for me it didn't work for the last 3 months so I am in the market for a new one. I saw your Satechi review and was wondering how the X1 fares in comparison to MX Keys. ( My favorite is the Apple Magic Keyboard of course but backlighting is a must so that is why I have my sights set on Satechi.)
Hey, Harris! I appreciate you watching. If your favorite keyboard is the Apple Magic keyboard you'll love the Satechi. It is a perfect replacement for that one. I'd also love to know what you personally didn't care for about the MX Keys as well.
@@SeanMarsalis for some reason I can’t get used to typing on the MX keys. Have changed many keyboards over the years mostly Apple ones and have never had this problem of “not getting used” to one. It seems that the key distances are different than usual and I am not a big fan of the fingerprint notch the keys have as opposed to being flat. The only thing that is keeping me from buying the Satechi is what many and you have mentioned about the keys registering as double and multiple characters. Has Satchi by any case fixed that?
Take a shot every time I say "keyboard" 😅
I bought this keyboard a couple of weeks ago and it is just simply awesome typing on it. Great review man, and BTW you have the coolest voice ever.
I'm happy to hear you enjoy the keyboard, Ari. I also appreciate the compliment! Thanks for watching!

How would you compare this to the satechi Slim X1? I am unsure which one to go for? How is the Slim X1 holding up to date if i may ask :D

@@SeanMarsalis thank you so much for the answer 😊
Very informative and straight to the point video. Thanks for making it!
Great review!
Thanks for your support!
Just got mine. I still prefer my old K810. Can't understand why they discontinued it.
CHILLingly Informative. Love this content!
Thanks for watching, mauigio! I appreciate you!

« I think that I’m done buying keyboards for a while ». These where my famous last words before entering the mecanical keyboard world.
Don't wish that on me! LOL
@@SeanMarsalis 😁 I don’t ! Great great content you got btw, just discovered the channel, keep it up as you’re doing a very good job 👏🏼
