He asked Flea about it too when he was on promoting "The big Lebowski" Flea said is was something they used to do around the house, until they decided to do it on stage. Regardless, Anthony's biography is one of the best books I've ever read. If you haven't read it, I suggest reading it; it's amazing.

I just finished reading Mr. AK's book...Amazing!! I felt addicted reading the book as I couldn't put it down. Great story telling and excellent writing. It helped me to understand my own brother's 25 year battle with heroin addiction. I finished the book feeling much more supportive of recovery drug addicts and what they go through, as well as more understanding of my feelings and reactions to my bro's life choices. Thanks to AK for being so open and willing to put down in words his experience..
I know this is 10 years old but the book did the same thing with me and my mom. Turned a lot of my resentment into understanding of what she went through

That was an interesting book i read it in 3 days
