These are some some good ass questions. Anthony has a really cool perspective, and he's lived a hell of a life. It's about time someone asked him some insightful questions. Also -- I've wondered the same thing: how does Anthony manage the darkness and end up radiating this great positive artful energy. Great interview.
I think he is avery spiritual person (you can get it from some of the answers during the interview) That helps to sustain a more positive perspective. He is a very authentic person I think, sincere , real.
Anthony is a born poet. And he has been to the dark side and clearly prefers the light. Because once you go dark, you appreciate the light. Most people take it for granted.
This guy Craig has incredible interview chops. Anthony's been answering so many of the same bland questions for years and these questions were so insightful and interesting. Not to mention, the pacing was excellent. I hate when an interviewer is interrupting the subject to ask the next question!
The synastry between Craig and Anthony was...like a song. But not just any song, this interview was intellectually and spiritually stimulating. They BOTH shone.
anthony always had a way with answering questions like definitely giving an answer but also breaking down his point of view for us to understand more and how he thinks
I am a few years late, but thank you for this outstanding interview. The interviewer was so sincere, so respectful and so genuinely interested without being awkward. Such a rarity. It seemed Anthony felt comfortable to talk. Thank you both, I really enjoyed to watch this. Love to everyone.
I like the new generation of questions, you can tell he doesn't like being told about his success, as much as I'd personally love to tell him what he means to me I'd hate for him to feel he has a responsibility to keep replicating that, on a selfish note I'd like to tell him In hope he'd keep writing the things we love....you have to except it's what he finds attractive that we love, and not what he thinks you'll love that is the biggest importance. I hope he never gives up and I prey I'll find him interesting even when he's sat on stool unable to whirl an swirl cross the stage. Putting him on a pedestal would end the Peppers and if you do it, you're not really a Pepper. That's what if you have to ask, then you'll never know means, Just so U know
He’s definitely right about bands not being as good when they get success / comfortable. I know so many bands who’s quality deteriorated as they got older / successful. Always wondered why.
What a terrific interview! Anthony and I are the same age, born in the same year, and I have been a fan of the chili peppers for as long as they have been around. I’ve watched countless interviews, and myself have conducted many interviews over the years of celebrities, but none were any more in depth, earnest or as well thought out with good, interesting questions than this. Very good, young man… thank you.
Greatest interview ever the good the bad and the ugly . the raw blood and sweat of the life of the band. .In the end the interviewer said that he was a fan of the band since he was a kid . There goes why he made those crucified to the cross criss crossing questions. As if trying to dig deeper than any personal level off the band. Great Job.
I love the RHCP and I like good interviews but I really found this one uncomfortable. Yes, you can be a fan but this interviewer here treats Kiedis like he is the Dalai Lama. I mean yeah, he came a long way and has probably worked a lot on himself and to turn around his life but still, it is just a band making great music and there is way more important things than that. Don't get me wrong, but I found this interview uncomfortable because the interviewer acted like he'd know Kiedis very intimately, which he just didn't. Being a fan is one thing, showing your appreciation too, but acting like you are an insider on a stranger's mind just because you are a fan - weird for me.
Funny you mention the Dalai Lama because even he had to stop to talk to Anthony in Dharamsala. It made him late to a meditation class with Buddhist elders. The interviewer is smitten. A lot of ppl are
@@mmmgyrl1976Good perspective to have imo. I thought it was a decent interview overall and though you could tell AK was mildly humored by just how taken his interviewer seemed to be by his presence, he remained respectful and seemed genuinely interested throughout most of the exchange. I think they both did a good job.
This interviewer asked some really great questions!
makes a change 😂
He did & very thought provoking
This guy makes a lifetime-fan interview of 13min that feels like 60min... great job! I wish someone would did this with John!

Such a sweet and smart guy. Is he for real? Sure, if real is being a performer. And for him, it is. He's doing the honesty routine pretty well...

Should change the name of the band to red hot pedo/junkie peppers. That would be true.
