Amen! You heard em boys, don't get all uppity and go around making sure everyone knows you're God's chosen seed of Abraham, especially if you reject His Son because as you know, "Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father." (1Jo 2.23)
even more: Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. (John 8:42-45) so not only are they not God's children, their father is the devil!
@@inTruthbyGrace And more still from Isaiah: Listen, O heavens, and hear, O earth; For the LORD speaks, "Sons I have reared and brought up, But they have revolted against Me. "An ox knows its owner, And a donkey its master's manger, But Israel does not know, My people do not understand." Alas, sinful nation, People weighed down with iniquity, seed of evildoers, Sons who act corruptly! They have abandoned the LORD, They have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have turned away from Him (Isa 1.2-4)
Israel wasn't replaced. It was expanded. The Church is the Israel of God. One is not a Jew outwardly but inwardly and circumcision is off the heart ie regeneration. This is how it always was. Even Jesus knew that those Jews that were only so outwardly were not true sons of God and thus were cursed.
Sorry this is not true God took away his blessing onto the Jews. When man started writing down 613 commandments, creating false idols I mean they even tried to stone Moses. Just like the theory that the temple was on the Temple Mount it never was there it was a fort called Antonia by the Romans. It was in the city of David which was not Jerusalem back then. The Jewish antiquity authorities know where it was it was founded in the '90s. They can rebuild the temple anytime but they will not because their Messiah will not come because their Messiah did come his name was Jesus
this, the word REPLACEMENT is incorrect - you nailed it the assembly of God - either in the old or new Testament - is composed of believers, saved by grace through faith, no matter their race (Ninevites weren't Jews and were saved). Your blood doesn't matter - if you happened to be born in OT Israel, you had a lot of advantages (the Law, prophets, etc.) but if you didn't believe, to the fire with you but that OT Israel is no more, God finished dealing with the physical nation of Israel in 67-73AD, Jacob's trouble, and the nation we have today that invaded Palestine has absolutely nothing to do with the God of the Bible.
It’s amazing how many prominent biblical teachers use the tired old “replacement” canard and miss the whole point of spiritual conversion to enter the kingdom of God. As Christ told Nicodemus, you must be spiritually reborn to even see the kingdom (Jn 3.3). Even the law of return in the modern state of Israel allows converts to make aliyah. All Israel will be saved, but not all Israel is of Israel (Rom 9.6).
God (no Name taking in vain meant) I miss you Dr. Heiser.........still teaching us new lessons/giving new content, 3/4 of a year after your death. You were an absolute blessing and I miss the cr@p out of (and thank YHWH regularly for) you. 🥲 P.S. Wish I could get a little sneak peek as to the conversations you are having now .......can't even imagine. AMEN & Shalom 💦🙏🕊
Was Just listening to his last podcast at naked bible podcast and felt a bit sad. The podcast guests are doing a great job though. But he’s sorely missed. But I guess, this time, he’s the interviewer in the unseen realm. Biblical ambiguities are now being “telegraphed” up there. ☁️🙌🏼
Yeah, we all agree on this point whether you are replacement theology or dispensationalism. Its not a point that disproves one side over the other because we all agree on this. ALL in Christ are one body, and the seed of Abraham by faith. The problem for the replacement folks is they have no way to fit many chapters of the Bible like Ezekiel 36-39 into their theology. The OT prophets were clear on the fact that Israel would return to the land STILL in sin and STILL rejecting Jesus and its the events of the great tribulation that finally being them under the New Covenant as a nation and people.
@@ExperienceEric Your position hilariously refutes one of the main heresies of Protestantism-Sola Scriptura.. The Jews have spent 2000 years denying they had any role whatsoever in the death of Christ. Which means they consider any allegations that their ancestors did to be a lie-and we did not even get the any discussions of the miracles of Christ and the Apostles in the NT. So, as a people, there ancestors engineer the death of Christ, the death of St. Stephen the Protomyter, and call the Word of God a bunch of lies-but they are still Children of Abraham. What a joke-except it is not funny-and all the suffering it has brought to the world.
I am neither Replacement Theology nor Dispensationalist (I’m actually Historical Pre-Millennialist see: the teachings of the Frontier Alliance International (FAI) on You Tube and via their app) and I reject the idea that all who are in Christ are the ‘true’ children of Abraham (the implication being that those who are NOT ‘in Christ’ are NOT part of Israel)?! 🤦♂️ Unbelieving Israelites are still the true physical descendants of Abraham whilst believing Gentiles (‘wild olive branches’) have been grafted into the cultivated olive tree (of which God has only one) and we are now the commonwealth of Israel rather than the replacement for Israel (Rom.11:11-24; Eph.2:11-22). Eventually, ALL Israel will be saved (and those Israelites who are not saved will be dead and perished). Let’s not forget, the Messiah is returning to take His rightful place as King of the Jews (INRI) and rule the nations with an iron sceptre from the throne of His father, David in Jerusalem (the last time I checked, David had never ruled Israel from a heavenly throne?!). When the Messiah told Pilate that His Kingdom was not of this world, He was NOT saying that His Kingdom would not be in the world (just as we as believers are ‘in the world but not ‘of’ the world’) but rather that His Kingdom would be both established and operate on the principle of righteousness not sinful brute force and treachery as were all the kingdoms of men (including Rome)?! Simonline 🏴🤔🙏😀👍🇮🇱
People would be extremly surprised when they find out who are the lost tribes of Israel, very soon. "8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Jesus was crystal clear when he said at the Last Supper, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood." The Jews that believed in the Messiah were the remnants. They became the very first Christians. The Jewish religious authorities had Jesus executed and his followers persecuted/executed. Their judgement came in 70AD at the destruction of the Temple. The old corporate system was swept aside and never returned. God's reconciliation with Man was made complete through His Son, Jesus Christ.
The problem is the replacement theology folks dont know what to do with many chapters of the OT prophets like Ezekiel 36-39. There is no way they can pretend like these chapters are about the church without just moving into total absurdity. The text is clear these are latter days events that take pale in the Holy Land with the remnant of the PHYSICAL seed of Abraham. These chapters are NOT about the church and there is no way to pretend they are.
It seems to me that much of the theology that is widely considered “Christian” in the twenty first century falls in one of two categories: 1) What people believe because it’s what they have been taught and 2) What people believe because, in the process of studying their Bibles (or/and “secular” history sources), they find what seems to them to be an incongruity with what they have been taught so they find another way of explaining who God is, the nature of the universe, the human condition or something else. I didn’t encounter replacement theology until the nineteen fifties. My parents were comfortable with it. I was not. I don’t remember how long it took me to find what I thought was a better way of harmonizing the various Bible passages that pertain (or people think pertain) to this question but, for many decades now, I’ve been encouraging people to do two things: 1) Attempt to evaluate and interpret the Gospels and the Epistles by the Hebrew Bible (the opposite of how some clergy say they “view the Old Testament through the lens of the New”) and 2) Try reading the relevant passages to see whether they fit with the premise that the church (not the institutional church but the people who are learning to trust the Lord) is the true continuation of the church of the Hebrew patriarchs and prophets. (See Acts 7:37 & 38.) I’m retired now so, if my laptop computer functions properly, I may be able to elaborate on this theme. But only if someone is interested.
The point is they now worship Yahweh and only Yahweh. He's no longer competing with Baal in their lives as he was in the old testament. What's your point?

Regarding the concept of Replacement Theology there are really two distinctly separate issues: 1) Did the new testament ekklesia replace the old testament ekklesia? 2) Is the nation of Israel elect and restored to God at the return of the Son of man as King? Both covenant theology and dispensationalism have elements of Biblical truth, and both have grievous error. I believe the Father's heart is sorrowed by sons and daughters who place their faith in ~isms and ~ologies. Blessings
Israel is God's people governed by that "Ruler" from Bethlehem (Mic5:2, Matt 2:6, John 7:42) that "prophet raised up like unto Moses" (Deut 18:15-18) and anyone who does not hearken unto that prophet is destroyed from among the people (Acts 3:22-23, Acts 7:47)..they are not all Israel who are of Israel (Rom 9:6) For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and (AJ)circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God. (Rom 2:28-29) and this is the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: that the nations should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel (Eph 3:3-6) just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that *_ONLY_* those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the nations by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” _*So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.*_. (Gal 3:6-9) For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Gal 3:26-29)
Very good! 1) Yes and 2) Yes! Unbelieving Israel will be grafted back into God's assembly, His people. Enemies of God and the gospel, but beloved because of the fathers.

He didnt break his covenant. He told them explicitly: do right and the land is yours. Worship other gods, and i will snap the rug out from under your feet so fast your beards will fall off.... and he did. Babylon and rome. Both kicked the crap out of Jerusalem and it was a judgment from the Most high.
It’s amazing how backwards so many prominent biblical teachers use the tired old “replacement” canard and miss the whole point of spiritual conversion to enter the kingdom of God. As Christ told Nicodemus, you must be spiritually reborn to even see the kingdom (Jn 3.3). Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom (1Cor 15.50). Even the law of return in the modern state of Israel allows converts to make aliyah. All Israel will be saved, but not all Israel is of Israel (Rom 9.6).
Many believers have been misled to think that the ‘church‘ has replaced ‘Israel,’ which is known as ‘replacement theology.’ The enemy has caused people to assign the Heavenly Father’s promises to physical Jews, instead of understanding that the promises are to the Commonwealth of Israel, which is made up of believing Jews and Gentiles. Romans 2:28-29 tells us that a Jew is one inwardly, whose heart is circumcised. “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” The ‘seed‘ of Abraham points to Messiah and those who believe in Him. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, David, Daniel, etc., all believed that the Anointed One would atone for their sins. We look back on that event. Because most believers don’t understand that they are Israelites, as the enemy has misled them by putting people called Jews in the Zionist state of Israel, and proclaim that they are ‘God’s Chosen People.’ Messiah foretold these Jews in Zionist Israel when He proclaimed in Revelation 3:9, that they are “of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie.” As we have seen, the 70'week period represented another opportunity for the chosen nation to demonstrate faithfulness to God. Though Israel had sinned more than “seven times,” God’s forgiveness toward the nation was extended to “seventy times seven.” Near the close of this period. One greater than the prophets would come. Then Israel’s destiny as a nation would be determined by her response to God’s Son. Looking His antagonists squarely in the eye, Jesus declared in words of burning truth, “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it” (verse 43). The Master Himself said it. The kingdom of God would be “taken” away from unbelieving Israel in the flesh and given to another “nation.” Why? Because of their horrific sin of crucifying “the Son” (see verses 38-39). Israel’s decision to crucify Christ would have permanent consequences. The pain was on God’s side. It was unbelieving Israel that divorced herself from Christ, her Faithful Lover, not vice versa. ”The Jews killed Christ.” No! This idea has horribly, unjustly, and cruelly fueled anti Semitism for almost 2,000 years. It was not primarily “the Jews” who killed Christ, although there was a group of Jewish leaders who instigated His death. On a deeper level, it was really proud human nature resisting the humble One. It was your nature and mine. Jesus Christ died for “the sins of the whole world” According to the New Testament, believing Jews and believing Gentiles are now one. The two combined are “Abraham’s seed” (Galatians 3:29). This is “the Israel of God” (Galatians 6:15'16). This “mystery” has been accomplished by our Messiah’s painful passion. He did it. When He died. He demolished the wall. Now think about it. Should Christians gather theological bricks and rebuild the wall Jesus Christ died to abolish? Wouldn’t this be an “anti-Christ” thing to do? For those familiar with the term, this is not “replacement theology,” which teaches that “the Church” has categorically “replaced” Israel. Neither is it “separation theology” (dispensationalism’s opposite error), which teaches the unbiblical notion that God’s Israel and God’s Church are two distinct entities-and never the twain shall meet. Rather, the truth is an “Israel of God” theology (Galatians 6:14T6), which sees God having one faithful Israel throughout history composed of true Israelites and true Gentiles.
I would have to say I agree so far. It is a bit of a meeting in the middle. We've been grafted in to what already was. And so it begs the question, what does our end time eschatology now look like?
The church did not replace Israel, it is Israel by faith. Paul says this time and time again, Israel via the flesh/genealogy is of no help. Christ is the true Israel and we are grafted into Him by faith.
Actually the church has replace Israel as Mike said, because as you rightly said Christ is the true Israel, He is the head and we are the body, "Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires" 1 Pet 1:4 The church is so connected to Jesus Christ that we can say as Christ said, "he who has seen me has seen the Father" or in the case the church "He who has seen us has seen Christ"
@@andyk2218 I would not use the replacement terminology because in Romans 9 Paul says not all who descend from Israel according to the flesh belong to [spiritual] Israel.

Sons of Abraham? Cultivated Olive Tree? Israel of God? Are Gentile believers fellow citizens with the saints and members of the commonwealth of Israel? Who was grafted into the cultivated olive tree of Romans 11? Who was grafted into the cultivated olive tree of Romans 11? Paul wrote that a true Jew is one inwardly with a circumcised heart, and that circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, and not by the letter? Is the inward Jew a member of the cultivated olive tree? In the epistle to the Romans, Paul writes, “Not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.” Is the Israel that Paul is referring to, the cultivated olive tree? In the epistle to the Ephesians, Paul writes about a mystery-that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. Is this one body the cultivated olive tree? Jesus said He has two folds and they will become one flock. Is the one flock of Jesus the cultivated olive tree? Hebrews 11:39-40 informs us that the NT and OT saints are made perfect together. Are these perfected, glorfied saints the cultivated olive tree? Hebrews 12:23, in a vision, identifies an assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, coming to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant. Is this assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, the cultivated olive tree? This prophetic vision meets fulfillment in Revelation 14:1-5, in the heavenly Mount Zion; the redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb. Cultivated olive tree? Revelation 1:6 and 5:10 points to a group of people who Jesus Christ has redeemed by His blood, to be a kingdom and priests. Is this kingdom of priests, freed from sin by the blood of Christ, the cultivated olive tree? Revelation 7:9 prophesies this same group, resurrected and raptured, glorified, and standing before the throne of God and the Lamb, from every nation, tribe, and tongue, wearing white robes and holding palm branches. Cultivated olive tree? Is there a spiritual Israel? What do you call the body of glorified saints who will rule and reign with Christ on earth? Are the glorified saints members of the cultivated olive tree? Is the cultivated olive tree the Israel of God? In Isaiah 49 the Messiah is referred to as Israel. Because Gentile believers are in the Messiah, Jesus, does that include them as members of the cultivated olive tree, the Israel of God? Are the sons of Abraham the Israel of God? Who are the sons of Abraham? The sons of Abraham, counted righteous by faith, comprise the cultivated olive tree; they are Jew, and Gentile-the “Israel of God…” All the saints in salvation history… The firstborn enrolled in heaven… The redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb… The eternal covenant community of YHWH redeemed by the Lamb… The bride of Christ. The saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, forever and ever. Blessings

His first statements are false. God will never divorce the church according to scripture. Individuals sure but not the church as a whole. This is the new Jerusalem which lasts forever
Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant in His blood at Calvary? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) ========================== Romans Chapter 11: In its New Covenant context... There is no Plan B of salvation outside of the New Covenant Church in this passage. Plan A is found in verses 23 and 24. In Romans 1:16 Paul said the Gospel was taken "first" to the Jews. This time period can be found in Matt. 10:5-7, and Acts 10:36-38, and Gal. 1:14-18. Many try to claim God never gave the Jews a chance to accept Christ, so there must be some Plan B of salvation before or during the Second Coming of Christ. Romans 1:16 proves they are wrong, since Paul said the Gospel went "first" to the Jews. Many ignore the fact that Peter addressed the crowd as "men of Judea", and as "men of Israel", and as "all the house of Israel" on the Day of Pentecost, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. The Gentiles were not grafted in until several years later. This passage proves Paul was right about the Gospel being taken "first" to the Jews. Were all of the Israelites "partially" hardened in Romans 11, or were part hardened and another part were not hardened? The answer is found in the "remnant" of Romans 11:5. Paul reveals two different groups of Israelites in Romans 9:6-8. There is an Israel of the promise, and an Israel of the flesh. This is part of the context of Romans 11. Paul speaks about the "remnant" of Israel in Romans 9:27. This is also part of the context of Romans 11. Paul starts Romans 11 with two different groups of Israelites. In verse one Paul reveals he is still an Israelite, even after his conversion. Then Paul refers to two different groups of Israelites during the time of Elijah. There were the Baal worshippers, and there was the faithful "remnant". In verse five Paul says there is also a faithful "remnant" of Israelites during his time. This must be the Israelites who have accepted Christ, as on the Day of Pentecost. Paul uses the two olive trees as a symbol of the New Covenant Church made up of believing Israelites, and believing Gentiles grafted together into the same tree. The unbelieving Israelites have been broken off but can be grafted back in through faith in Christ in verses 23-24. Verse 26 is the problem for many modern Christians. What does the verse actually say, and how is it changed by many in the modern Church. I have heard two of our nations famous preachers say the following. "And then all Israel will be saved..." I have heard another say the following. "And all Israel will be saved..." What does God's Word, recorded by the Apostle Paul actually say? Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: The English word "so" is translated from the Greek word "houto", which is an adverb of manner, instead of an adverb of timing. Some have changed the word from "so" to "then", in order to change the meaning of the verse. How will all of the "remnant" of Israel from Romans 9:27 be saved? The answer is found in the verses that precede verse 26 and are found below. Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? Paul quoted from the OT in referring to the Deliverer coming out of Sion to pay for sin. Did this happen at Calvary, or will Jesus die again for His people in the future? Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Verse 28 can only be understood by looking at how Paul started the passage. He started with two different groups of Israelites and he ends the passage in the same way. There are two different groups of "they" in verse 28. One group of "they" reject Christ and are the enemies of God, and another group of "they" are the election which accept Christ through hearing the Gospel and faith. Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. Based on Luke 21:24b-28, the times of the Gentiles comes to fullness at the Second Coming of Christ. This agrees with what Paul said in Romans 1:16 about the Gospel going “first” to the Jews.

(Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30) The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations? 1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Paul’s interpretation in Galatians 3:8, 3:16.) 2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ? 3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds? 4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh? 5. Who is replacing the word “remnant” in Romans 9:27, with the word “nation”? 6. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers? 7. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"? 8. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost? 9. Based on Hebrews 12:18-24, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.) 10. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9) Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? 11. Watch the TH-cam video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church. Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology. Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church:
“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.” Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107. Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.” Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323. John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated… "...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. @ExperienceEric you just copying and pasting the same reply to every thread you can think of and find? Why is this? Is it because you think your words are that powerful and necessary? I think its pretty easy to see the CHURCH was always israel and in the mind of the creator aforethought. Both physically and spiritually israel.
The church did not replace Israel grafted in does not mean replacement It means adoption You've been allowed into the family truth unedited TH-cam channel has one of the best videos on the subject.
22 This made the Jews ask, “Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, ‘Where I go, you cannot come’?” 23 But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.” 25 “Who are you?” they asked. “Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied. 26 “I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world.”
Who ever said that God has replaced Israel has not understood the heart of God. He will never do that. The people that follow Jesus and the Jews that follow and will follow when he gives them a new heart and makes them see when they say blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.
and you haven't understood yet that 1 God divorced the physical nation of Israel at the end of the OT 2 That old nation rejected the Messiah and were judged in 67-73 AD (Jacob's tribulation) 3 It was never about blood / race, it was always about faith. As Paul says, the true Jew is the one inwardly, circumcised in their heart, the believer 4 there's no more distinction between physical Jew and non Jew (Galatians 3, Romans 10) 5 Jesus was the Seed of Abraham that would bless all nations (Galatians 3 again) the nation that invaded Palestine has nothing to do with the True Israel of God, composed of Old and New Testament believers, of all races Recommend watching this series to go deeper and stop believing in modern Dispensationalism: The True Israel of God: Part 1 (Rev. James C. Gallagher)
The nation that invaded Palestine says everything about you that needs to be said. You have no idea what you talk about. Many prophecies of the Old Testament about Israel have never been fulfilled. Look back into it again you present yourself like you understand but I can see nothing of what you say. Make any sense.
@@Idontlikethisever"Many prophecies of the Old Testament about Israel have never been fulfilled." they are and will be in the church, Jesus' kingdom is spiritual and not of this earth :) "but I can see nothing of what you say. You have 2 options my friend: study what Dispensationalism is, then what Covenant theology is (The True Israel of God: by Rev. James C. Gallagher, and the Marching to Zion documentary are both great resources), that's what Heiser did, that's what I and many others have done (took me months of study), to understand what you believe or be lazy, ignore everything I said and continue believing in modern Dispensationalism (which, in many Christian's view, is idolatry), up to you
@@treksta2009saying all races are the same in God's eye, that faith in Jesus is what matters, is not racist nor anti semitic. And that's what Scripture says "no more Jew or Gentile". believing a special unique race is above everyone else, that is racism
In Acts 1:6-9 the answer to the question that His disciples asked Jesus was very telling. I’m not entirely sure that they could have received an answer that lays out the truth as believers in this dispensation of time have come to know. So He was kind but firm as to how He answered them. Paraphrasing (imo) - I’m not going to destroy your little faith with what you cannot understand right now - but you will be as Israel was always intended to be - my witnesses here and in all the earth…after the Holy Ghost has come upon you.
“Replacement theology” is a derogatory term used by opponents of the view. Dr Heiser credits the reform position for this view, but I respectfully disagree. The view that the Church is Israel is the default position shared by both Orthodox and Catholics from the beginning. Isaiah speaks of only a remnant of Israel being saved, this remnant was the Early Jewish church. The Gentile converts was then grafted into and adopted by this redeemed Israel while the non-believing Jews were cut off. Yet the Early Church Fathers and the Orthodox Church today teach that the Jews will be grafted back into the Church(redeemed Israel) which will be a sign of Jesus return.
The heretical doctrines of the Roman Catholic church and the icons, statues and prayers to dead people encouraged by these doctrines are not biblical. Isaiah was told to blind the Jews until the end which is why tribulation is called Jacob's Trouble. God does not ever go back on His promises. There is only a remnant of gentiles that are saved also. You deny the truth of who God is when you believe replacement theology. The early church fathers did not teach that Israel would be "grafted" back into the church. It's the other way around. The Jewish people always were and will always be God's chosen people. Your doctrine is inherent and filled with lies from the Catholic church which claims Jesus as its founder. Very difficult when the Catholic church was instituted in 380 AD.
@@nanadeborah8717 the Catholic Church was not founded in 380 AD. The Church describes itself as Catholic as early as Ignatius of Antioch, a student of the Apostle John. Also the blinding of the Jews was to be until Jerusalem is destroyed twice, as Isaiah asked how long would the people be blind “Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.” Then I said, “How long, O Lord?” And he said: “Until cities lie waste without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is a desolate waste, and the Lord removes people far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. And though a tenth remain in it, it will be burned again, like a terebinth or an oak, whose stump remains when it is felled.” The holy seed is its stump.” Isaiah 6:10-13 God tells of two destructions, one by Babylon and the second destruction by Rome(the Harlot aka Mystery Babylon). Compare Isaiah 29 with Isaiah 9 and it becomes obvious that the blindness placed upon Israel ends with Jesus ministry in Galilee “Astonish yourselves and be astonished; blind yourselves and be blind! Be drunk, but not with wine; stagger, but not with strong drink! For the Lord has poured out upon you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes (the prophets), and covered your heads (the seers)….. In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.” Isaiah 29:9-10, 18 “But there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the latter time he has made glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:1-2, 6 Also it’s the Catholic Church who taught the 4 Gospels. The Ebonites only used Matthew and the Gnostics used an edited version of Luke. It was the Catholic Church who testified and defended the legitimacy of the 4 gospels among the heretics who said there is less or more than 4 Gospels.
@MichaelStratton1993 so sorry that you have believed the lies in the church in which I was brought up. The word "catholic" used in the creeds means UNIVERSAL. It is not applicable as the Roman Catholic church. Your ignorance of scripture is showing. You are ignorant because you believe doctrine rather than truth. You have done no research and thus have lost your soul to the lies of satan. Time is extremely short. You are laughing in the face of the living God. God will not be mocked by a church considered apostate by the church fathers. Wake up!
If God ‘doesn’t tie His own hands and is free to do what He wants’ then can He really be trusted to keep His word?! Is God’s oath worth the breath used to make it (Gen.15:1-21; 22:15-18; Heb.6:13-20)?! To make such a claim about God is to impugn His Character which is the essence of blasphemy?! Simonline 🏴🤔🙏😀👍🇮🇱
In Matthew 24 The Lord Jesus was talking to The Children of Israel would would occur and what they should do in that day...
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
When the Messiah was explaining this it meant that The Children of Israel would have to be in the land. In order for them to be in the land, that means The Children of Israel would have been scattered and then returned to the land, but will have to flee one more time. The Gospel of The Kingdom was different from The Gospel of The Grace of God.
When Jesus Christ had come to The Children of Israel in The Gospels, they had an opportunity to receive him as their King and Messiah, but they did not. God knew that The Children of Israel as a nation would not receive him, but he still gave them their opportunity...
The Gospel of The Kingdom was... "Repent, for The Kingdom of Heaven (or God) is at hand. This Gospel of The Kingdom was preached by John The Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the Disciples of Jesus Christ in The Gospels. Israel as a nation refused Jesus of Nazareth as their Messiah King, but they were given the opportunity and it was recorded in all four Gospels - from Zechariah 9:9...
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
When The Lord Jesus came on the ass and fulfilled Zechariah's prophesy, he wept over Jerusalem: not because he felt bad that they rejected him, and he did feel bad - but because he knew what was going to happen to Jerusalem...
41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
The Gospel of The Kingdom was good news for The Children of Israel if they would have received Jesus of Nazareth as their Messiah King, but they rejected him. By Israel's rejection God used the opportunity to bring in the Gentiles via The Church.
The Gospel of The Grace of God was:
1Corinthians 15:1-6 The Gospel of The Grace of God AKA: Paul's Gospel Message
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
The Gospel of The Grace of God will end at the Rapture of The Church, and The Gospel of The Kingdom will Continue again...
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Thessalonians 4:14-18 At The Sound of The Trump...
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Once The Rapture of The Church occurs, and The Day of The Lord which coincides with The Time of Jacob's Trouble takes place, at the 70th Week according to The Prophet Daniel, two-thirds of Israel will be wiped out and one-third will be saved and they will enter into The Messianic Kingdom in fulfillment of The New Covenant....
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
The Children of Israel will inherit their land according to the prophecy of Ezekiel 47 and 48. They will have their land, and The Lord Jesus at that time will be called: The Mighty God, and The Everlasting Father. This is also what The Lord Jesus told the Judaeans in The Gospels when he said, "...the Son of Man is also Lord of The Sabbath..." The Sabbath will be that Seventh Day.
There is no separate plan for Jews or the Nation of Israel. God will still deal with them individually regarding their relationship to Jesus Christ the Messiah. There is nothing for Israel outside of Christ and His Church. The Jews must repent and turn to Christ.
On a practical level, all the Jews on the planet would not fit onto that piece of land. I am searching for God' s plan for Gaza. I know it is mentioned in Acrs.
Lots of fake jews decent from europe, khazars, and Cain. Most real semite are not even in israel. If you stand with israel taking over gaza you are a monster
Israel is nation, the Church is a universal religion. GOD didn't established a confession when he made covenant with Abraham. Replacment theology is a heresy.
Better to say Fulfillment theology, Hebrews 8:13 , the new covenant has made the old one obsolete. So what , if anything does the Bible teach is still in store for the Nation of Israel? Shouldn’t they just individually become a part of the body of Christ?
@@Vikingshop”until heaven and earth pass away… “ One issue tho is the usage of heaven and earth. It’s being used as a reference to the covenant people in Isaiah and Deuteronomy. OT ISREAL passed away along with their law. The church is the new “heavens and earth”
I've never liked the term 'replacement'... the church doesn't replace Israel. The Church is Israel. Gentiles are grafted into the root of Jesse who is Jesus. There is no salvation outside of Christ. We have been baptized into his death so that we might be resurrected through in him. As Paul points out in Romans 9, not all who are descended from Abraham are Israel: there will always be a remnant per the prophets in the Old testament. The best way I find to understand Romans 11 is to see it as Paul trying to humble the potential hubris of those in Rome who may have thought they were special because of their election. Election is never our accomplishment but is God's gift, and at the individual level, it cannot be presumed or demanded.
Uhhh, no the church is not Israel. As Paul wrote in Romans 11:25, "BE NOT IGNORANT OF THIS OE THING, that BLINDNESS INN PART HAS HAPPENED TO ISRAEL UNTIL THE TIME OF THE GENTILES IS FULFILLED. " Modern Israel is in spiritual blindness due to their unbelief in Jesus. But that spiritual blindness will be lifted in the great tribulation. WE are Gentiles in Christ grafted in, but those OT prophecies are about the PHYSICAL SEED and what becomes of it in the latter days due to their unbelief.
The problem is the replacement theology folks dont know what to do with many chapters of the OT prophets like Ezekiel 36-39. There is no way they can pretend like these chapters are about the church without just moving into total absurdity. The text is clear these are latter days events that take pale in the Holy Land with the remanat of the PHYSICAL seed of Abraham. These chapters are NOT about the church and there is no way to pretend they are.
@@ExperienceEric I get why replacement theology think the church does replace Israel. Paul is quite clear that it isn't the blood relationship with Abraham that saves. John the Baptist also suggests that paternity isn't of much value when he said God could make children of Abraham out of the stones. But the new testament authors make a distinction between true children and mere descendants. Even in the old testament, this distinction is made by the later prophets who emphasize the remnant of the Lord who are the true inheritors. Thus the proper distinction is not between jew and gentile, but between spirit and flesh. Faith, as the author of Hebrews indicates, is what unites true children. God is faithful to the true children. We are united by the son of David, who is Jesus, as Ezekiel 37 foretells. Gentiles, far from replacing Israel, are grafted into sonship by faith: like everyone else. Jesus is the true son for he alone is the only one who kept the law of Moses. And it is in him where everyone, both jew and gentile, find true sonship. The church can't replace what it is. The true Israel are the followers of Christ, for the true church is the body of Christ. Membership is the gift of faith which grafts into the root of Jesse. Thus there is no salvation outside of Israel. There is only one people of God.
@@1stGruhn My man, what you don;t yet understand is we agree on ALL that stuff about us being the people of God and how Jew and Gentiles are one body in Christ. The replacement folks do what you just did, they make their case on things they do not realize we are already in full agreement on. No one is disagreeing n or debating any of those points. But just because those things are true does not change the fact that the ENTITRE BIBLE makes clear over and over and over again that even with all that, God has not turned his back on the PHYSICAL SEED of Abraham and makes clear that at the end of the church age HE would bring unbelieving Israel back as a nation to the Holy Land and after they are back in the land bring them through the great tribulation and finally they will turn to Jesus and accept Him as their Messiah. What you replacement folks are doing is chopping a huge sections of your Bible out and throwing it away and saying none of it means what it says and all the prophets of God were false prophets and liars, which of course makes God a liar because those are His words He put in the prophets mouth about what HE was going to do about the remnant of the physical seed of Israel in the last days and end times.
@@1stGruhn In plain words, there are some large portions of your Bible you are not reading and totally ignoring. And its not just in the OT, its right there in your NT both in Jesus words, Pauls letters and in Revelation. You can't read Ezekiel 36-39 and pretend those prophecies are about the chruch, you can't read Zechariah 12-14 and pretend those prophecies are about the chruch. You can't read Jeremiah 30-33 and pretend those chapters are about the church. I I could list dozens more such examples). Just open your Bible and READ THEM. Rom 11:25 : "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; ****that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.****" Luke 21:24 "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, *****until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled**** Romans 11:28-29 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
Hi Danielle... The term "ekklesia" is a common noun and not capitalized; Biblically speaking, there is no, "The Church," capital "C." This error occurred in the 4th century when Jerome transliterated the Greek term ekklesia into the Latin term ecclesiam, while commissioned by Pope Damasus to write the Vulgate translation. Roman Catholics attempted to make "church" a proper noun, and thus an institution, comprised of clergy and laity. They were eventually corrected by William Tyndale in the 17th century, leading to his martyrdom. This informal term, ekklesia, as it applies to the people of God, is a congregation or assembly; a gathering or grouping of the called-out ones of God at any time on the earth. The ekklesia is an earthen vessel, not a heavenly one, and is comprised of faith-filled believers as well as faith-less unbelievers; all who gather, also known as the church visible. The formal term for believers in our times is Christian, or, as a group, Christians. 1 Peter 4:16 “But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear that name.” The old testament ekklesia was the nation of the twelve tribes of Israel (including sojourners and proselytes), called out of Egypt to be God’s possession; a people in covenant with God. Many in the old testament ekklesia were not saved because they were not united by faith with those who listened to the good news (Hebrews 4:2). The Object of faith for the old testament saints was the Coming One; the coming Christ who is to bruise the head of the serpent (Genesis 3:15). In Hebrews 11, we learn that Moses regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward (Hebrews 11:26). The new testament ekklesia is comprised of Jew and Gentile, called out of the world to be God’s possession; a people in covenant with God. Many in the new testament ekklesia are not saved because they do not understand the word of the kingdom, some fall away because of tribulation or persecution, and others are unfruitful because the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word (Matthew 9:18-22). The righteous shall live by faith, and those who have faith preserve their souls (Hebrews 10:38-39). The Object of faith for the new testament saints is the crucified, buried, and resurrected Christ, Jesus of Nazareth; our coming King (Matthew 25:31-46). Within the old testament and new testament ekklesia are the saints of God, counted righteous by faith; the sons of Abraham (Galatians 3:7, 29). Together we are made perfect (Hebrews 11:40)-resurrected and raptured (caught up to God; Greek, harpazo) at the parousia, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ; our blessed hope. The church will not be raptured. The saints of God, all the saints in salvation history, are resurrected (the dead in Christ first), and then we who are alive, who still remain until the coming of the Lord, are caught up (Lemma ἁρπάζω, transliterated harpazō) at the appearing of Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). And we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
How does replacement doctrine work when scriptures say gentiles are grafted in? Grafting is making two into a new one, where both remain in the new state of being...
That's right Van... Blessings

And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the nations by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” _*So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.*_. In his other podcast he says Israel is a "theological construct" not a national one. That the partial hardening is that 2 tribes are what the Gentiles have been grafted into according to Hosea. Any response to this?
I will begin by saying that I don’t embrace Calvinism. Having said that, I think John MacArthur and many Calvinists have a balanced approach to modern day physical Israel. They don’t prescribe to Replacement Theology. They believe Israel has to be back in the Land prior to Jesus’ second coming. Yes, Israel is there but in unbelief. On the other hand, MacArthur and his ilk aren’t like the Christian Zionists who go overboard over Israel to the point of idolatry. These fanatics ask God to bless Israel (but He will not because Israel’s predominantly secular atheistic population hates and rejects Jesus God’s Son thus no blessing). They pray for the peace of Jerusalem which prayer will not be answered until Jesus is reigning from Jerusalem during the Millennium Kingdom. Christian Zionists generally don’t have the mind of Christ pertaining to Israel.
MacArthur isn't really a true calvinist. Calvinists are much more than 5 points of Tulip. MacArthur preaches believer's baptism, Calvinists baptize infants. MacArthur is dispensationalist, Calvinists are mostly amillenialists. Also MacArthur is a heretic teaching the heresies of nestorianism, arrianism and eternal subordination. All 3 condemned heresies at the historical ecumenical councils. I believe he has also blasphemed against the Holy spirit.
@@Ridabu Wrong, Israel is replaced by the Church. Why do you think it's called The New Testament? Lmao. I have to watch myself because I want to put Jews on a pedestal.. seriously, they are God's chosen people! What an amazing relationship that they often seem to take for granted. Its the spirit who birth the spirit. No one will come to his kingdom til they are born again by the spirit. We are the lost sheep of Israel.
The Nation of Israel, and the Remnant of the Twelve Tribes of Israel are Chosen by God, and He has promised them His Everlasting Love and His Everlasting Salvation, He even curses those who curse them, and promised to Fight for them, when the nations shall Rise against israel; Israel is the apple of God eye. Hate to burst your bubble but the nation of Israel is not Biblical Israel. Most of them are even, Atheists. They ae not chosen, they have rejected God, and they need to repent. They need to come back to the fold.
Israel also consisted on converts out of Egypt, including Moses’ wife, and again when exiles returned from Babylon with converts, or the Gentiles who converted en masse in the book of Esther, and David’s great grandmother. Even the law of return in modern Israel allows converts to make aliyah. It’s a spiritual matter, not of the flesh (even the natural born were required to be circumcised as a sign or they could not live in the kingdom). The answer to your first question is actually a pretty resounding NO. The Dead Sea Scrolls found in the 1940's replaced Israel with gods in Psalm 82 AND in Deuteronomy. Thank God it did, because the Church knew it didn't make sense for the LONGEST time. Israel didn't exist during the Tower of Babel which is when and what that verse is talking about.
This so much. My Lord shed his blood to make us one. I wish Dr. Heiser had gone into the specific statements or points of RT that he has issue with.
this, the word REPLACEMENT is incorrect - you nailed it
the assembly of God - either in the old or new Testament - is composed of believers, saved by grace through faith, no matter their race (Ninevites weren't Jews and were saved).
Your blood doesn't matter - if you happened to be born in OT Israel, you had a lot of advantages (the Law, prophets, etc.) but if you didn't believe, to the fire with you
but that OT Israel is no more, God finished dealing with the physical nation of Israel in 67-73AD, Jacob's trouble, and the nation we have today that invaded Palestine has absolutely nothing to do with the God of the Bible.
What a strange statement ~ even Jesus knew… totally crass!

Unbelieving Israelites are still the true physical descendants of Abraham whilst believing Gentiles (‘wild olive branches’) have been grafted into the cultivated olive tree (of which God has only one) and we are now the commonwealth of Israel rather than the replacement for Israel (Rom.11:11-24; Eph.2:11-22).

Amen! The message of the gospel is lost even to most Christians it seems
(See Acts 7:37 & 38.)
I’m retired now so, if my laptop computer functions properly, I may be able to elaborate on this theme. But only if someone is interested.

All Israel will be saved, but not all Israel is of Israel (Rom 9.6).
The ones who reject Jesus are not Israel
Many believers have been misled to think that the ‘church‘ has replaced ‘Israel,’ which is known as ‘replacement theology.’
The enemy has caused people to assign the Heavenly Father’s promises to physical Jews, instead of understanding that the promises are to the Commonwealth of Israel, which is made up of believing Jews and Gentiles.
Romans 2:28-29 tells us that a Jew is one inwardly, whose heart is circumcised.
“For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.”
The ‘seed‘ of Abraham points to Messiah and those who believe in Him. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, David, Daniel, etc., all believed that the Anointed One would atone for their sins. We look back on that event.
Because most believers don’t understand that they are Israelites, as the enemy has misled them by putting people called Jews in the Zionist state of Israel, and proclaim that they are ‘God’s Chosen People.’
Messiah foretold these Jews in Zionist Israel when He proclaimed in Revelation 3:9, that they are “of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie.”
As we have seen, the 70'week period represented another opportunity for the chosen nation to demonstrate faithfulness to God.
Actually the church has replace Israel as Mike said, because as you rightly said Christ is the true Israel, He is the head and we are the body, "Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires" 1 Pet 1:4
The church is so connected to Jesus Christ that we can say as Christ said, "he who has seen me has seen the Father" or in the case the church "He who has seen us has seen Christ"
@@andyk2218 I would not use the replacement terminology because in Romans 9 Paul says not all who descend from Israel according to the flesh belong to [spiritual] Israel.

Romans Chapter 11: In its New Covenant context...
"And then all Israel will be saved..."
I have heard another say the following.
"And all Israel will be saved..."
What does God's Word, recorded by the Apostle Paul actually say?
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
The English word "so" is translated from the Greek word "houto", which is an adverb of manner, instead of an adverb of timing.

Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ?
(Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30)
The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations?
1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? (See Paul’s interpretation in Galatians 3:8, 3:16.)
(See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.)
“The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107.
Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323.
John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated…
"...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.”

(See what Joshua said about the Old Covenant land promise in Josh. 21:43.)

Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups?
Who is the New Covenant promised to in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and is it fulfilled by the blood of Christ at Calvary in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 12:18-24?
Will modern Orthodox Jews ever be saved outside of the New Covenant Church, if the New Covenant is “everlasting” in Hebrews 13:20? (See also 2 Thess. 1:7-10) If the New Covenant has made the Old Covenant “obsolete” in Hebrews 8:6-13, why would God go back to the Old Covenant system during a future time period?

@ExperienceEric you just copying and pasting the same reply to every thread you can think of and find? Why is this? Is it because you think your words are that powerful and necessary? 23 But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”

Also the blinding of the Jews was to be until Jerusalem is destroyed twice, as Isaiah asked how long would the people be blind
“Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.” Then I said, “How long, O Lord?” And he said: “Until cities lie waste without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is a desolate waste, and the Lord removes people far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. And though a tenth remain in it, it will be burned again, like a terebinth or an oak, whose stump remains when it is felled.” The holy seed is its stump.”
Isaiah 6:10-13
God tells of two destructions, one by Babylon and the second destruction by Rome(the Harlot aka Mystery Babylon). Compare Isaiah 29 with Isaiah 9 and it becomes obvious that the blindness placed upon Israel ends with Jesus ministry in Galilee
“Astonish yourselves and be astonished; blind yourselves and be blind! Be drunk, but not with wine; stagger, but not with strong drink! For the Lord has poured out upon you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes (the prophets), and covered your heads (the seers)….. In that day the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.”
Isaiah 29:9-10, 18
“But there will be no gloom for her who was in anguish. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:1-2, 6
Also it’s the Catholic Church who taught the 4 Gospels.
The Covenant Theology Error - Part II
In Matthew 24 The Lord Jesus was talking to The Children of Israel would would occur and what they should do in that day...
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
In order for them to be in the land,
that means The Children of Israel would have been scattered and then returned to the land, but will have to flee one more time. The Gospel
of The Kingdom was different from The Gospel of The Grace of God.
When Jesus Christ had come to The Children of Israel in The Gospels, they had an opportunity to receive him as their King and Messiah,
but they did not. God knew that The Children of Israel as a nation would not receive him, but he still gave them their opportunity...
The Gospel of The Kingdom was... "Repent, for The Kingdom of Heaven (or God) is at hand. This Gospel of The Kingdom was preached
by John The Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the Disciples of Jesus Christ in The Gospels. Israel as a nation refused Jesus of Nazareth as their
Messiah King, but they were given the opportunity and it was recorded in all four Gospels - from Zechariah 9:9...
Zechariah 9:9 Thy King cometh and is Lowly...
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just,
and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
When The Lord Jesus came on the ass and fulfilled Zechariah's prophesy, he wept over Jerusalem: not because he felt bad that they
rejected him, and he did feel bad - but because he knew what was going to happen to Jerusalem...
Luke 19:41-44 Jesus of Nazareth weeps...
41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another;
because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
The Gospel of The Kingdom was good news for The Children of Israel if they would have received Jesus of Nazareth as their Messiah King,
but they rejected him. By Israel's rejection God used the opportunity to bring in the Gentiles via The Church.
The Gospel of The Grace of God was:
1Corinthians 15:1-6 The Gospel of The Grace of God AKA: Paul's Gospel Message
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Corinthians 15:51-57 In a Twinkling of an Eye...
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound,
and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought
to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto
the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Once The Rapture of The Church occurs, and The Day of The Lord which coincides with The Time of Jacob's Trouble takes place,
at the 70th Week according to The Prophet Daniel, two-thirds of Israel will be wiped out and one-third will be saved and they will
enter into The Messianic Kingdom in fulfillment of The New Covenant....
Zechariah 13:8, 9 One Third Will be Saved...
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried:
they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
The Children of Israel will inherit their land according to the prophecy of Ezekiel 47 and 48. They will have their land, and The Lord
Jesus at that time will be called: The Mighty God, and The Everlasting Father. This is also what The Lord Jesus told the Judaeans
in The Gospels when he said, "...the Son of Man is also Lord of The Sabbath..." The Sabbath will be that Seventh Day.

No, there has to be a physical Israel in these last days prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
There is no separate plan for Jews or the Nation of Israel. God will still deal with them individually regarding their relationship to Jesus Christ the Messiah. There is nothing for Israel outside of Christ and His Church. The Jews must repent and turn to Christ.

Israel is nation, the Church is a universal religion. GOD didn't established a confession when he made covenant with Abraham. Replacment theology is a heresy.

What did Jesus say about the Law?
@@Vikingshop”until heaven and earth pass away… “
One issue tho is the usage of heaven and earth.
Modern Israel is in spiritual blindness due to their unbelief in Jesus.

The Church is Not Israel. The Church is the Church and Israel is Israel. Two completely different things.
..expert on theology..?
1 Peter 4:16 “But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear that name.”
The old testament ekklesia was the nation of the twelve tribes of Israel (including sojourners and proselytes), called out of Egypt to be God’s possession; a people in covenant with God.
(Rom 2:28-29)
and this is the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: that the nations should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel (Eph 3:3-6)
just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Therefore know that *_ONLY_* those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the nations by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.”
_*So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.*_. (Gal 3:6-9)
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
How does replacement doctrine work when scriptures say gentiles are grafted in? Grafting is making two into a new one, where both remain in the new state of being...
Agreed. Replacement theology is a lie of the devil
That's right Van...

Grafting is actually hacking off and replacing. There's no getting around branches being hacked off.
@@jblackpost "Grafting is the act of joining two plants together. The upper part of the graft (the scion) becomes the top of the plant, the lower portion (the understock) becomes the root system or part of the trunk. Although grafting usually refers to joining only two plants, it may be a combination of several." *source University of Missouri Extension
In his other podcast he says Israel is a "theological construct" not a national one. That the partial hardening is that 2 tribes are what the Gentiles have been grafted into according to Hosea. Any response to this?
@reformed5 do you have a link to that episode about the passage in 1 sam they are talking about?

Wrong, the Jews must come to Christ. There's no way around that.
@@Ridabu Wrong, Israel is replaced by the Church. Why do you think it's called The New Testament? Lmao. So it's never going to happen until either all Jew's come to Christ, in which they would be Christian then, not Jewish, which already negates your crap and misleading, false theology, but then with the only other options remaining being force all Jews to convert despite their free will, or kill the ones that don't. None of it makes theological sense.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek"
Stop spreading false theology
What if a jew never believes on christ are they still saved then
No
I have to watch myself because I want to put Jews on a pedestal.. seriously, they are God's chosen people! What an amazing relationship that they often seem to take for granted. Or just don't much care. But Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life and NO ONE comes to the Father except by Me. Not much way of getting around that. As much as it breaks my heart for the Jews.

The (traditional/orthodox) Church IS Israel. Thus the parable of the fig tree.
Two separate groups, the righteous and the elect. We are both “Israel”
The elect are those foresaw to be in Christ. They are one in the same.
Only for the lost sheep of Israel, the children of the promise and not the physical descendants.
Jesus told Nicodemus there teacher they all need to be born again. Not by flesh but by spirit. Its the spirit who birth the spirit.
No one will come to his kingdom til they are born again by the spirit.
We are the lost sheep of Israel.
Amen. The Church, the Body of Christ.....
Biblical Words were typed here, and the Word of God is the Absolute Truth. Shalom.
Hate to burst your bubble but the nation of Israel is not Biblical Israel. Most of them are even, Atheists. They ae not chosen, they have rejected God, and they need to repent.
They need to come back to the fold.
He also set them a choice of the blessing or curse if they sinned. They made a choice to sin as per the prophets.
Not all Israel is of Israel (Rom 9.6); you must be spiritually reborn to see the kingdom of God (Jn 3.3).

The question should be asked did Michael Heiser Replace Israel as the "gods/elohim" of Psalm 82 with a bunch of watchers/angels as "gods/elohim"?>>>>The Answer is Yes!!
OTHER Questions...
...Was Heiser a false and apostate teacher of Psalm 82?>>>>>Yes!!
...Did Heiser's view of a divine council mislead many?>>>>>Yes!!
...Is Heiser book the unseen realm a false read?>>>>Yes!!
So the next question remains... Is everything in the above persons comment an absolute lie?>>>>Yes!!!!
