Outstanding update, as always, Andy. I'd be interested in knowing the price point of the computer you're moving forward with beta testing, as I may go that route with my AltMill (which I believe will be delivered in the next 3 weeks or so; yahoo!!)
If it works out, until they release an official 2x4 I'd gladly pay the 4x4 price for a 2x4 machine. Or have them cut down a 4x4, I think they offered this service with LongMill.
Did you consider making a Sienci Linux distribution (starting from debian) ? It could have gSender and other apps for CNC also pre configuration. You could customize a lightweight window manager like XFCE and it would be very fast. What was slow with Linux? The OS in general or gSender?
@@gihadmurad The other issue is making the system user friendly to non techies. Linux as much as Lemmy wants people to believe is not as user friendly/known as Windows
Yes, interested in the 4x2. A lot of us just don't have the space for 4x4.
yes altmill 48x30 Be perfect machine for smaller shops
I would definitely be interested in a 4x2 Altmill.
Yes to 2x4 altmill. Totally ready to buy in January. Price not issue garage space is my limit. Please 🙏🏻
Very informative. Thank you for taking the time to discuss everything.
We appreciate the updates. Im in the que for delivery Jan 2025!
4x2 would be great...
Be nice if the shipping page listed spindle orders ... Would also be nice if the receipt/invoice had a URL to the order status page.
Thank you for the continued improvements the alt mill looks fantastic.
Very interested in the computer for my Altmill. Cool to see a Canadian company continue to innovate!

Yes, yes, a 4 x 2 Altmill, take my money. A4 x 4 would be great if I had more space in my shop, unfortunately I don’t.
You mentioned ATC, any hint on time line for that? And any idea whether it will be an adapter or a whole new spindle?
will the gControl Panel computer Be able to connect the two machines on the same panel and will it have hdmi output for larger screen?
Great questions!! That HDMI connection would be really nice to have. I sure hope so. 👍👍
DId the Ultrabeam not have a Pre-Order launch on the 1st of September as advertised?
4x8 please i want to be able to cut 49x97 sheets from other vendor's, not just home depot. Definitely willing to pay the extra shipping for it.
Hi. By when the new SLB EXT will be available for selling ? How much will it cost ?
I am looking forward to the Sprouter and the magnetic mount for the LaserBeam.
Sounds great
Will the g control panel computer be able to run V carve pro?
We don't think it is the ideal use for it but gControl Panel Computer does meet the system requirements for VCarve Pro.
@SienciLabs So basically, it wouldn't be ideal to use it for DESIGNING purposes, just running gsender and the machine? Is that right?
mine will arrive in oct...
Please 2x4! No space for 4x4.
Sounds like the bent rails they discovered could be good candidates to cut down for a smaller machine. . .
