    These episodes were great!! I thought they (queen's guards) were just ceremonial guards and their job was nothing to do other than guarding the queen( though i had much respect for them)....but after knowing what each soldier goes through......I'm Speechless!! Massive respect for all soldiers out there serving their country.
    REST IN PEACE Tony Downes, Simon Davison and all soilders who sacrificed thier lives for thier country.
    Again much much respect for these soldiers!

      It’s completely normal for ceremonial soldiers in all armies to be combat trained as well. That’s just how it works. Otherwise they’d just be line dancers 👯👯👯👯and dead weight.
      Similarly, bandsmen can be also infantrymen or medics.

      Not really no we went to a country that we no right to be in and we killed women & children and old men.The TALIBAN was only defending there honour and çountry against some alien foreigners?? Wouldn't we do the exact same thing if they invaded the UK & CANADA?? And we are tellingthems where to go and what to do and when to do it??? While arresting your Father,Son,Brother on trumped up terrorism chargers and sent to GUANTANAMO where they all got tortured and some died..And we lost a lot of bloody good lads well young kids actually same with CANADA you lost some absolutely great soldiers as well RIP and all for what exacly??? Only for BIDEN to strike a deal with the TALIBAN then runaway like a f**king coward leaving our "enemy" with $85 BILLION DOLLARS of MILITARY HARDWARE where is the sense in that??? Absolutely bonkers..SMH

    Rest In Peace Simon (?) And Tony may there be a place for you in Heaven. It breaks my heart when soldiers die. It's the worst thing in the world together with when a friend of yours or hero to you has died. Quite a few friends I knew have died and my biggest hero died 3 years ago. I found out he was dead 2 years ago and will never get over it. I've tried to put him in the back of my mind, but when your major inspiration dies you can't. You have to remember those you have lost.

    • @prepperjonpnw6482
      @prepperjonpnw6482 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only thing worse than your hero/mentor dying is when your child dies. Especially when your child is an adult. I thought it would be worse if you lost a child when they were still a kid but I was wrong. It’s way worse when you lose your adult child. Maybe because they’ve been a part of your life for more years I don’t know. And when you lose them in a stupid war it’s even worse. In WWII and even Vietnam and Korea we at least knew WHY we were fighting but Iraq? Afghanistan? What the hell is my son fighting for? Not democracy. Not against evil like the Nazi’s. Not against communist aggression. Not for our freedom. Not for our way of life. We have more reason to fight in Crimea than we do in Afghanistan. Don’t get me wrong I’m not anti military or anti serve your country. Im just anti stupid fricken waste of lives, resources and money. My family has had at least one member from every generation serve his/her country for well over 1,000 years.
      I pray my grandson skips the military and goes straight to college. I think our family has served enough. Time for others to step up and take our place.
