Embed a PDF into Elementor or Wordpress without using a Plugin

  • At some point we've all used a Plugin to embed a PDF into Wordpress or Elementor - and that's fine - but let's do it without any plugin - using some simple code.
PS - you can easily embed with Canva too - but this video is aimed at those that don't use Canva and don't want to use a plugin.
    PS: websquadron.co.uk
PPS: Don't miss out on our amazing Create a Website in One Weekend Course - and it comes with a FREE Elementor Pro License!! websquadron.co...
PPPS: Contact us for any questions or to collaborate.
PPPPS: I must stress that we only build with Elementor and no other Page Builder.

Excellent. Can you do the same for docx and pptx and just change the application/pdf to application.docx

I find on mobile (Android/Chrome tested) while the emulator displays as you demonstrated (ie horizontally scrollable size) - on the actual device there is simply an "Open link" which does not work.
On Tablet (Apple/Chrome tested) a fixed image of page-1 of the pdf is displayed.... not the embedded scrollable document.
Is this actually possible to find a responsive design that actually works? Thoughts?

The perfect responsive design would take lots of budget to perfect - but recommendations would be using VH, VW and % for content placement.

Here is an easy way (tested) : I use jet engine but you can use ACF it doesn't matter.
      1) You create a simple custom text field
      2) Then you connect it via the dynamic tag option in Elementor to the HTML field
      3) That's it. Then you just need to fill in the correct pdf link and type the code from the video

Hi, I am looking for a solution to embed pdf securely so that nobody can download it or save it. Plugins that do that is quite expensive. Any ideas on how to achieve the results using Elementor Pro and HTML?

Yup, often PDFs default to that. You have to click an option at the top to get rid of the sidebar.
