Let me start off by saying, first, I'm a black man from the hood who has served in the military and who is currently a police officer in Cincinnati. This interview, by far, was the best I've seen, in my opinion. I've seen Gangster Williams in several interviews, and he is always very interesting to watch. His story easily could have been my life. This is my first time seeing the other gentleman. Both of them brought so much to the table, and the mutual respect for each other and each other's choices in life were admirable. Great interview!
We appreciate you my brotha. I got 1 question for you tho. How do you deal wit the bad apples you gotta work beside every day? If it was to go down with them who’ve been asking for it. Will you get your brothas ready
These two can do a podcast together interviewing street dudes and war vets .. man they will blow up ..They coming from two different backgrounds will shine a light on things and I think will help a lot of people to change and also help people look at people differently bringing awareness to environment that causes people to adapt to.
My favorite interview by far...The "Black John Wick," it was the knowledge and his ability to combine both worlds in such a non-judgmental way...I thought Terrance was going to cry!
The “soldier” is an Air Force POG that was a deployment readiness instructor, meaning he taught other Airmen the absolute basics to not die in the first few minutes of a gun fight, and then got into training with firearms on his own time. He’s tense because he’s compensating. Guaranteed gangster has done more in the streets than this guy ever did in his time in service. It’s also why he’s speaking in generalities and made up scenarios. “Let’s say I have some troops blah blah blah”. He’s full of shit.
11:25 now this is mature men conversation. Two men big upping each other and listening to each other. Taking their individual experiences to give us-the audience-an insightful conversation. Thank you to all involved.
I wanna see more of this exact type of convo with one addition: Add a Young Black Soldier and a Young Black Gangster. A round table of these brothers would be beautiful.
I had that happen to me on a raid in an apt in Iraq ( &&&& near &&&& my pants too ) LOL. I was in an infantry unit and we conducting sweeps/raids in a certain area of our operating zone. Well,my M-4 clipped as I had a 15 yr old Iraqee boy in my sights ( he had run upstairs to get a Hallmark greeting card for me-LOL ) just kidding. He was trying to get his weapon,an AK-47,of course. As I came into that room I told him to stop and he turned around to face me ( on a near by couch was an Ak-47 ) he saw I had the drop on him, then stood still. He eyed the AK-47 near him and looked back at me,I shook my head saying don't do it. He moved for that weapon. Then I heard the click sound, then I knew I was dead, the distance between us was too great to get him.I didn't see my life flash before me,just dreadful-FEAR.As this teen turned his weapon towards me,his body started twisting and turning as he was being hit several times by M-4 fire coming from my rear.It was Sgt Martinez ( my best friend from my infantry unit ) saving my &&& !!! Again-LOL. I went to the corpse and took that Ak-47 as I slung my inactive M-4 over my shoulder, then we continued our sweep in that apt complex. After we finished our raids and everything was clear,I jumped into Sgt Martinez's arms and kissed him ( not on the lips tho-LOL ) for the next 2 months I'd jump into his arms, kissing him on the cheeks and fore-head,would do it in the chow line too. LOL. I didn't care where I was,I'd kiss,it felt so GOOD to be alive. SEMPER-FI

This is one of the most intelligent interviews I’ve seen ever. A soldier recognizing and paying respects to the gangsters at war on the streets that the soldiers are abroad fighting to protect. Similar objectives, similar approaches, different circumstances. The way Wick broke down the military’s chain of command was phenomenal. This was such a necessary conversation. Thank y’all for your level of vulnerability. Black men were born soldiers yet circumstances of environment creates gangsters.
This Interview needs more views. Two types of Black Men. Both equally, stood on business and thrived. I would NOT like to swap shoes or lifestyles with either one. Simply, listen you might reflect on your own short comings and lifestyle and grow. Let me just leave this here: "Whom seeks experience as a teacher is a fool." Ironically , a teacher explained that to me because acquiring intelligence, knowledge and skills. Saves you alot of time and money. Be Blessed and have a productive 2025.
