The technology works! I had tennis elbow when I was learning tennis early on. I tried using the clash to reduce the pain but it wasn't enough and I thought I had to take a long break. Saw this at the local pro shop and tried it out. The elbow pain was reduced significantly! I used it for about a year while I fixed my form and my elbow recovered nicely :) I will say it doesn't have as great feedback as my blade or gravity mp and it feels unique on serves but I am forever grateful it saved my elbow and let me continue my tennis instruction
I did exactly the same when I had tennis elbow, used Prokennex for a year and was really happy with the racket. Worked on my technique and now use the latest Ezone 98 which is the best racket I have ever owned and it hasn't resulted in any elbow issues for me! But yes totally recommend Prokennex as allowed me to keep playing 3 times a week whilst looking at what else was causing my issues.
I've played the Pro Kennex Q+ Tour Pro, Black Ace 300 and keep using the Ki5 295 2022. The Kinetic Technology really works! The "sand" sound is not noticable at all when playing. You don't know it actually exists! Only minus for me, the Blue Colour paint texture for this model (yellow for the Black Ace 300) feels a bit "rubbery" on my fingertips. I'd prefer it matte or glossy. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Ki5 295 for flat hitters.
I've tried other racquets but always go back to the Kennex. Bought the Black Ace 105 when it came out and love it. For me it's not my elbow but I have a hand condition that worsens with vibration to the hand, this takes care of it. The 105 is for me the perfect of everything, size, weight, flex, you name it.
Thanks for this! I remember the old 80s BA! I own the early black PK 5g, and since developing TERRIBLE TE in 2020, and out of commission for 18mos, I'm all-in with the 98" Kinetic Black Ace, (RA54/55) customized. Natural gut user since childhood, this racket feels like hitting with a pillow. Even though I'm a longtime Volkl flexy frame (C series) user, nothing compares to the PK arm-friendly technology! This 105 sounds nice, but may be too stiff & probably not HL enough for me...
Tried the Ki 5 (2022) recently - wow. Played like a Pure Drive with a big sweet zone and plenty of controllable power, but with zero arm shock. Swings like a quality medium weight regular racquet. I think it would appeal to a lot of players if they just knew about it. Only minor issue for me was the sound and slight feel of the microbeads hitting the front face of the frame as it impacts the ball. Black Ace series likely appeals to narrower audience.
Thanks for reviewing the ProKennex Black Ace 105! I have been considering buying one. Currently, I am using the ProKennex Black Ace 300 (grams) which has an RA of 55 and a 100 sq. inch headsize. It's great for my problem elbow but is not very powerful.
105 will give you more depth but at the cost of control; I actually don't like serving with the 105. Had a hit with the Black Ace 315 and control was great but yes you make your own pace.
I have recently moved from a ProKennex Q+15 strung with TF Multifeel onto a Wilson Clash 108 v2.0 strung with Wilson Sensation and the Wilson is much more comfortable and has tons more power. The sweet spot on the Wilson seems bigger too, also with much less jarring in your elbow with off centre or framed shots.

Had an original Black Ace. Fantastic power when compared to my wood racquet. I’d buy one if ever a reissue.
The Silver Ace was good too! Both the original Black Ace and the Silver Ace were 85 sq. inches.
My first racquet was a Pro Kennex Black Ace 90 in the late 80s
The Pro Kennex Copper Plus 90 was 35 dollars at KMart in 1983, and I still have never played with a better feeling racket

between Ki5 and Q+20 any characteristics different? Thanks
Brent Zeller, an open player, started using that 30 years ago
ProKennex has other racquets featuring the same technology. It would be nice to tryout out the Q series Tour, 315, or 325.
Thanks for sharing
That new machine is fire. Aways been curious about thos Pro Kennex too.
Prince Phantoms are just as much if not more comfortable. Depending on which one you hit with.
But have no power.

v2 108 RA stiffnes rating is 63 the 108 v1 is better has RA 56. the v2 is not comfortable at all.
You should review Head Radical Microgel Mid Plus 98
It’s super comfortable but a control frame.
Plu$…it only costs $99 new…strung!
The Head MicroGel Radical MidPlus (and Oversize) have both been discontinued. Good luck finding any new ones for sale.
